It breaks my heart as a follower, a friend, a sister, a mother this last week, and I weep for my Jesus and how, brave, courageous, obedient, and Holy he was as he endured this whole thing because of his love for us!

"The tragic crucifiction of Jesus?" If the Messiah had not been crucified then that would have been tragic. We would all be doomed.
It is tragic. God used tragedy to defeat death and sin. It’s one of the nuances that make Jesus like no other.
Your point is from hindsight. Of course the benefit was great, but the event itself was tragic.
If it’s not tragic to You then You don’t love Jesus. It doesn’t matter if we were saved, I will always cry at realizing how much God suffered for us.
His crucifixion shows the gravity of sin. If sin wasn’t what it is, then His death would not have been what it was.
We all need to think of this as we live our lives.

Its important to acknowledge that it was tragic, and its also important not to feel sorry for Jesus on the cross, you have to feel honor and respect, he’s not worthy of you feeling sorry for

If you have been watching the pre and after shows which accompany the live streams, the questions you are all asking have been answered in Dallas' interviews with cast crew, writers and the religious leaders who have given theologically sound guidance as to how to write every scene. Based on this I trust their judgement, am enjoying each and every moment immensely, my faith has grown as well as my hunger for God's word. Please people, stop nit,-picking and see this series for the amazing gift that it is. Please also remember, it is not always word for word, nor is it a chronological account. To do so would take decades and resources that are impossible to fathom. Maybe we could start praying for Elon Musk or some other mega rich philanthropist to funnel their money into the Good News out in this manner out instead of building more weapons designed to eradicate God's Creation😢

I'm sad they didn't do the Transfiguration and the demons in the swine.
Was hoping so much to see the Transfiguration scene but it's understandable they are not able to show everything due to time constraints. If they were to show everything The Chosen would have to be about 12 to 15 Seasons to complete. With that being said, it would have been great though to see how the Transfiguration scene would have been portrayed.
I would LOVE to see the Transfiguration but Dallas says he won't do it :(

I really wished dallas would touch more on the demonic that we are face currently which is are true enemy not flesh. But i guess also the transfiguration. Thats pivotal
I wish Jesus didn't tell Judas to "go and do it quickly" and said "don't do it, it wont work, I'm not fighting" But it had to be.

Why do you wish Jesus had told Judas”don’t do it…..”? That is ridiculous - all the events happened in the way they did because it was essential for all prophecy to be fulfilled. For one thing, the Pharisees had to know where Jesus was staying so they could send the troops to capture Him away from the crowds - it had nothing to do with Jesus not fighting nor resisting.

I don't think it's being shown in the UK either... I think you have to get together with a group of people and badger the local cinema chains. That way they buy it in and show special screenings.

Well, since he is Nicodemus and is the one who supplies the herbs and fixings for Jesus body for the buriel in the tomb, yes he'll be back.

Just a guess, but I can't help but think what a cliffhanger it would be if Season 5 ended with Judas leading the soldiers to the garden and giving Jesus the betrayal kiss. Another possibility would be when Judas leaves the Last Supper after dipping the bread with Jesus. In any case, we know how this will go. What a fantastic series to bring to life key portions of the Gospels.

DI Vinci”s Last Supper painting is wrong.
It was his last supper iit wasn't The Passover. For that, they would have been standing with crooks and following the OT for Moses and Isreal and the bitter herbs, etc that the Jewish people do for Passover.

Are they skipping The Transfiguration story? It supposedly happened before Jesus entered Jerusalem. That seems like a huge event to skip.

It's when Jesus was praying at Gethsemane the first time that the apostles witnessed that he changed physically and they saw 2 other men talking to Jesus which they "identified" as Moses and Elijah. The apostles said to Jesus that they were ready to build 3 cabins one for Jesus and the other 2 for the aforementioned even though the 2 men that they had witnessed were long gone.
Dallas said no to that, the stoning of the woman and the Baptism. I hope he doesn't cut the Assension later, that is really important.
@@deb9806 The baptism was cut for practical reasons as the show started with Mary Magdalene as for the rest he also said that about Jesus walking on water and we know they ended up doing it. It all depends if it fits creatively and can be done effectively so we shall see as they just begun filming season 5.
@@RoyCyberPunk I didn't want a big thing, just a flashback of John and Jesus in the Jordan for a few seconds after John died because it was a big thing for him to do. King of Kings did it with John looking up and seeing Jesus and their eyes say more than words.

Yeshua was crucified on a Wednesday when the Passover lambs were sacrificed, and was laid in the tomb before sunset when the Passover seder meal was eaten. He said that the only sign that He would give that He was the son of God, was that as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish 3 days and 3 nights, so he would be in the tomb (Matt. 12:38-40). Thursday before sunset is 1 day, Friday is 2 days, Sabbath is 3 days. Therefore He arose at the end of the weekly Sabbath, not Sunday morning. "Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb very early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb." Yeshua was and is the Lord of the Sabbath, His day.

So on Season 7 is Resurrection Appearances of Jesus after His death on the cross.
Season 5 are cleansing the temple, cursing of fig tree, and the last supper discourse stated in John 13 to 17.
The crucifixion will be in Season 6, and Season 7 will focus on the resurrection

(His entry into Jerusalem was on the 10th day of the 1st month..Passover lamb selection/separation day). AND the gates/portals of the sun, moon, the Dipper.

YHWH does not change Malachi 3:6. Nor does he operate on floating days of a week or months. HE is steadfast and consistent. No 13th month in the scriptures, that is a Babylonian carryover.
The cursing of the fig tree isn’t about the Jews who have not accepted Him. It’s about those who follow Him who produce NO fruit. He curses them.
I think both interpretations are possible
I’d like to change/expand on my original comment. I believe the tree that produces no fruit are those who “claimed” to be a believer and follower of Jesus. I think scripture teaches about this. His true followers will produce some sort of fruit and some more than others. And I think it goes farther than the Jews. Since to be in a place to have the ability to produce fruit would be to have made some conscious choice to side with/follow/claim to be a follower of Christ.
Why do I have a feeling the Last Supper scene will be very Catholic, instead of “fact.”
They already made Mary the Mother very catholic… in the Bible, she had her moments, she didn’t always understand His mission and wasn’t always so very supportive as in the Chosen…

It always intrigued me that Judas had to point Jesus out to those that came to arrest him and Isaiah was right he looked no different than the other men, no beauty or majesty in his appearance. So many depictions in film have him 6'4" with blonde hair and blue eyes looking like a European model when in appearance he was not like that at least according to the prophecies.

The Chosen is missing some important points and I hope they get back on track. First of all… the healing of the blind man scene in season four while confronting the Pharisees was in Jerusalem, not Capernaum . Big mistake there because the blind man washed his eyes in the pool of the Bethesda. Where is the scene where the two demon possessed men are cast into the herd of swine?? That was supposed to have happened before he entered Jerusalem at the end of season four. Also, when it comes to the passion of Jesus, I know Dallas said he’s going to lighten up on the brutality of what happened because Mel Gibson covered that in the passion of the Christ, but I think that’s a mistake. We have lived with this amazingly acted out version of Jesus for five going on six seasons, we should know the extent of the suffering he went through for us and not water it down.
They tend to omit a lot of stories and sometimes change the chronology of the events, for example Mary's anointing of Jesus should be later as well but they already did it.
I thought it was the pool of salom.
