Yessss!! FINALLY!! 🎉 I'm so glad you checked these live performances out, and really loving the Minhyuk vocal appreciation. He was SO nervous for the U R live because he took over Wonho's lines and he was scared that he wouldn't do them justice, but he absolutely kills it. It was around this time SSE and non Minbebe Monbebes finally started ro wake up to his vocal talent, he always had it in him, he was just never given many lines along with Hyungwon. As much as Wonho's unfair departure from the group hurt, there was eventually a silver lining, because now Minhyuk and Hyungwon are getting longer and more complex parts in their songs starting off in earnest from Fatal Love era until now.
UR one of my favorite bside and live performance, it's insane and this songade by I.M. and he did amazing job🙏 Minhyuk Kihyun and Shownu combo is🔥 and im so proud of them❤️
Let me talk about how Minhyuk's voice is actually insane! Like when he is talking he sound like he has 2 voices coming out from his mouth, and when he sing they finally choose to separate. Like his low tones are so husky deep, and his higher range is so light and sweet! The way this man's vocals get confused for Kiki's a lot when he is singing in his falsetto 😭. Justice to Minhyuk's parts on the lyric videos! He is such a solid support vocalist. He can do everything he sounds amazing in every genre too. I cant get enough of his voice. At the beginning I didn't know how to appreciate his voice because it was just so unique in texture and personality that I didn't know how to take it in. The more I've listened to it over time the more obsessed I am with Minhyuk's voice.
Girl you have to watch the video of King of Masked Singer, Kihyun, Jooheon, Shownu and Minhyuk appear and their voices are on another level!! Minhyuk did a great job on that show and you can see his singing skills better, I hope you watch it! I love your reactions. 💗💗
My favorite vocals from Minhyuk on a title song was this line he had in the chorus of Shine Forever and like I was obsessed with how his voice sounded in Gambler as well. I just replayed it over and over. He took the whole cake in UR. I really want a solo album from him.💙 The back and forth between Showki and the riff by Kiki at the end🫠🤌 Cannot forget the triple zoom in on Joohoen's face while his rapping🙈☺️
the thing i looove about changkyun's songs on their albums (and why they tend to be my favorite songs) is the way that you can tell he specifically writes them and distributes parts WITH his hyungs voices in mind. while joo tends to push them with his songs, you can tell kyun has a very deep understanding of his members strengths and is intimately familiar with their voices. When they redistributed u r's lines i know for a FACT it was no QUESTION that minhyuk takes the wonho chorus because despite being written w wonho in mind (and he sounds IMMACULATE on the studio track) it suits also minhyuks voice SO well. i like to think changkyun also noticed that minhyuk was very comfortable in that range which is why we got minhyuk on AND's chorus a few albums later 💔 💔 hart bronken 💔💔 i just love changkyun's team songs and how the monstas sound on them 💔💔💔
In Time and If Only! These are both really nice ballad songs by MX and it would be great if you can listen to them. I personally really love MX ballad and slow songs

Yes Follow era was a rollercoaster for me, Wonho is in U R song in the album also with a magic voice. Min, Shownu and Hyungwon sound so good in this kind of songs for me. The way you feel about Kihyun is the way I feel about Hyungwon. Hyungwon is my ult and the rest are all big time wreckers for me. Especially Jooheon and Kihyun. They're my biggest wreckers. UR is one of my top 10 Monsta X songs. I love our producer line so much. They do incredible work every time!
One of thw things I like about Mx is that their voices are so unique and none, and i mean NONE of their voices sounds alike. Their voices are like ingredients to create a perfect food. Kihyun's voice is so clear and so good and so main vocal. Shownu's r&b voice gives you a different flavor though he is not the main vocal, his voice texture is so different from Kihyun's that he does not pale in comparison. Hyungwon's low and sexy voice is such a good contrast to Kihyun's high one. And Minhyuk. In my opinion, Min's voice is like the glue that blends everyone's voices perfectly. If you pair it with everyone's voices it fits perfectly and gives them layers but at the same time his voice stands beautifully on its own. Their voices are magic
I don't mean to leave a comment on every video (I am sick and bingewatching is making me feel better) but AHHHH U R gives me chills everytime! It was something I saw early on in my MX days before I'd realized how insane their live performances are and it totally changed how I saw them as a group (aka I fell HARD)
