It’s okay guys, “RUN” was the most confusing MV for me to figure out too (took me years tbh) 😭😭 I think this MV is all about the little details and it’s MUCH better understood in hindsight (as in once you see more of the storyline the story in RUN starts to click a bit) I’d suggest just rewatching RUN a bunch of times after you watch other MVs to come (or even after the explanation video) 😂😂

I am really laughing hard when you guys are confused. I see myself long time ago being confused as hell about the storyline but it is all worth it. It may be obscure and confusing right now, once you finish everything, you can watch the summary video of the story line. Take note though, that this album is still somewhat connected and related to the next album where Fake Love MV plays a very vital piece in the story line.

Just wanted to tell you during the rebelling part 9:55 there was someone shouting "move your car" to jin and nothing else. no shouts to the other 6 boys who were throwing drinks and spraying paint on their cars telling them to stop. Like they don’t even care? Or they don’t see them?
In the all of time travels Jin does Taehyung kinda remembers the previous timelines in forms of dreams so he remember getting drowned, he remember Suga killing himsef by burning up, he remember jungkook killin himself by "accidently" jumping of a building. all the things Jin is tryin to stop from happening in previous timelines. hope this clears sonething up.

During the shooting of this mv, since they were low in budget, staff were used as the extras of this mv. The amangers used their own vehicles as props of the film. But the outcome of the mv was worth it all. So love these boys. I also like your reaction videos, please do more..💜

One explanation is that no one exists except Jin。So in the end, when the car honks, it's not because boys are making trouble, but because Jin is at the front of the car and blocks the road, so cars are honking. That's why Jin is driving, not others. Maybe other people don't exist. It's just a fantasy of Jin
I need U+Run+butterfly+Awake its a story about Jin time traveling to the past to save other members (read "save me" official manga can help u understand more) When Jin saved one member, it bring butterfly effect to other members and cause them to 'bad end'. in their wings album teasers, producer also gave hint about the general storyline. well, overall its like a movie lol.
when you see mv Run and mv i need u ... they tell you the dark past of the bts that they have been through ... it has also been raised as a comic ... many also read it ... because there we know how the actual condition of the base is
*FYI : other than jin’s time travelling ability, v also once tell one of the members that he is been having the same kind of dreams over and over again but he don’t know why, some tell that he is able to know the future but its not comfirmed.*
The pairs: RM & V Suga & Jungkook J-Hope & Jimin Remember near the end of prologue, V jumped into the ocean...so beginning of Run, V went into the water but survived. Another thing to note, right before pillow fight started, J-Hope was at the hospital with Jimin. And yes, you should be confused like we all were 😂. Basically from what I learned, a lot of the Run mv keeps going back in time.....so the scenes you see are not necessarily in order😶 Keep in mind, the lyrics might not totally match up with storyline. But one thing to know, there’s Japanese versions of I Need U and Run music videos which provides more clues to the storyline.

Run is more like a progressive version of I need U, as in 'I need u' was telling you the backstory of those 7 kids, and Run is telling you how those 7 kids started to tell each other their own stories and they try to help/protect each other in the most fucked off fashion. In metaphors. Visually. :)

But to be honest I don't like how people suggest only the explanation video and not the notes, an official content. I didn't see the explanation video and i only read the notes, countless times to understand every little details and it's not impossible. I can say I really know a lot of the storyline and I have 90% of the story sorted out. Just give them the opportunity, it's the only thing I'm saying.

Yes, you spend more time reading them than watching the video, but I think it's a more meaningful experience. You can ready every single word and feel so much and connect all the dots. It's always a beautiful experience for me and it's sad that so many people choose to not read them (even because there is so much work behind it)

ah okay you guys are just in the beginning but i just wanted to say my theory of these 3 videos. RUN so if you notice, they go back and forth between scenes that showcase them alone and them together. i think this shows that they were actually separated for a period of time. maybe months to years apart. jin especially caught my eye. he's always shown alone in the same room, opening the curtains, lying on the bed, with the same clothes. i believe this signifies that he keeps going back in time over and over again, the days repeating and blending. and then we get to the others. namjoon working in the gas station, being disrespected. eventually he takes a risk. his lollipop turns into a cigarettes on top of the money thrown on the ground maybe signifying change? or delinquency? yoongi is alone. he has no one and nobody searches for him. he rents out a room in a motel and comits suicide. fire specifically. it's very important to his past. hoseok takes lots of pills but i don't believe this signifies an overdose. more like, he's taking pills he doesn't need. not the right condition. instead of fainting, he "falls asleep" but wakes up almost immediately when no one is there to pay him attention. jimin is not in a regular bathroom. it's too big. most likely in another place. it's a hospital. he's alone, trapped. by how wet he is, he's been there for a while and the water is also dirty. he tries to drown himself to alleviate his loneliness but alas he doesn't go through with it. he burns a picture of his friends. maybe signifying they aren't friends anymore? taehyung is distressed throughout the whole video eventually seeing his father abusing his sister and killing his father most likely without thinking. you can see his sister trying to stop him but he doesn't. there's a few frames that you can see his sister sitting on the floor crying and him on the floor looking at his dead father with fear. jungkook intentionally provoked some guys to beat him up. you can see he WANTED to get beat up. when he gets what he wants he simply gets up, walks out of the neighborhood and gets hit by a car. his story in this mv is short but it means something. ON STAGE PROLOGUE there isn't much to say about this video but it's an important part in the story. you can see the interactions certain members have with each other and more insight on their relationship. jin takes care of them and is mostly alone, namjoon comforts taehyung, yoongi and jungkook spend their time together and jimin and hoseok are together as well. the very last clip gives us a GIANT hint on what's going on and the butterfly affect. jin is alone in his car and decides to check a picture namjoon took of him and yoongi in the car. jin was missing. RUN much like i need you, shows the good times when they're together and the bad times when they're apart. only this time, they aren't all fine together. the moments i really want to talk about though are jimin's last bathtub moment, jin spacing of and yoongi and jungkook's fight. yoongi and jungkook's fight is significant because really, they only have each other. after they fight and yoongi leaves, jungkook's whole world falls apart, leaving him thinking he's all alone which, he is. good times flash by as jungkook stares of into the open door. but wait, let's go before that. yoongi breakes the mirror and some blue flowers are seen. keep them in mind, they'll be important later. the picture jimin sets on fire in a picture from the on stage prologue but again, jins missing. and now jin spacing of. it may be that he is just spacing of so it looks cool but we all know that's not how this works. i believe run takes place in, hear me out, the past, present AND an alternate timeline. this is why jin is spacing of, he's remembering something. he feels it, the deja vu. but he can't quite place it. and yeah, that's all im thinking right about now! sorry for the long comment and this is just my theory, i can be wrong. if you read this thank you!
You are right when you say v is struggling, he just killed his father, emotional struggles. Jin videotaping everything is important so keep an eye on him. Also the pairings you mentioned JK and Suga, is definitely one pair, There are two other pairs and one on his own. What l did was went through the videos one by one and wrote things down, the more you watch each video the more you pick up.
oh my God, I just noticed that in the first part that looks like Jimin and J-Hope in white in a "room" all white, it is the room of J-Hope's hospital, because in 'I Need U' he overdosed
there's already a hint that jin is time traveling. in the tunnel scene, jin was the one in the driver's sit, but there's this other scene where there's only 5 members at the back of the track and the 6th member is driving. the 7th member (jin) is not the one driving anymore
i'll give a little hint: *the pairs are:* *jungkook and suga* *jimin and jhope* *v and rm* as you notice the maknae line which is the younger members of the group are each paired with a hyung and then you have *jin, the oldest, time traveling because he wants to "help his friends fix the mistakes that led them down this path" and save them. this information is taken from the summery of the webtoon novel called "save me".* I just used the summery so i don't think i revealed any detailed easter eggs. ;)
The real meaning behind this video is that it shows each member dealing with their sorrows after they loss their best friend who is portrayed as (Jin).....and the part where jk and Suga fought is that jk realises that his bestfrnd is really dead and tells others to stop doing all the crazy things and accepting the reality but Suga denies his frnd is dead and so quarrels.....and it shows Jin as driving for them in the near ending...it shows that jin is the driving force for their craziness and lastly it shows V drowning because he is the most affected as he kills his abusive father as shown in "I need u" mv
In I need you jungkook got mixed into a bad crowd and was being pushed against a wall but I think in the run music video he’s being pushed against a wall by his own friends playing around with them almost like an alternate universe also jimin in the i need u mv was drowning himself in the tub but in the run mv he’s was playing in the tub with his friends it’s another universe where jin got to them in time and saved them and they’re happy hope I made sense

It's ok if you're confused. ARMYs have been trying to piece this ongoing storyline for years since the early days. BigHit finally confirmed the storyline early last year when they released the webtoon: *Save Me* (another awesome song) So yea, this masterpiece is still ongoing. 💜
in the RUN mv, we get to see the pairings more clearly, you see a LOT of jhope and jimin, rm and V, jk and suga. i guess specially jhope and jimin in this mv, try to notice the places they were seen at, and keep it in mind!! for the next things you’ll see, youll need it to understand it better!

Damn, so someone already spoil Jin Time Traveling??? Actually it's a bit easier if you already know that. "Time Traveling" is connected to their "Hardship". The story is hard to understand and all over your head bc it's simple its about "TIME TRAVELING" you will see the same moment but different action, like for example at first Jimin sink himself in the bathup, and now he's in the bathup but burn the foto. It's bc "TIME TRAVELING", Jin trying to time traveling. You get what i mean?? 😉 i can't spoil you so much bc its no fun 😁. Just wanted to tell you during the rebelling part 9:55 there was someone shouting "move your car" to jin and nothing else. no shouts to the other 6 boys who were throwing drinks and spraying paint on their cars telling them to stop. Like they don’t even care? Or they don’t see them?

In the all of time travels Jin does Taehyung kinda remembers the previous timelines in forms of dreams so he remember getting drowned, he remember Suga killing himsef by burning up, he remember jungkook killin himself by "accidently" jumping of a building. all the things Jin is tryin to stop from happening in previous timelines. hope this clears sonething up.

During the shooting of this mv, since they were low in budget, staff were used as the extras of this mv. The amangers used their own vehicles as props of the film. But the outcome of the mv was worth it all. So love these boys. I also like your reaction videos, please do more..💜

One explanation is that no one exists except Jin。So in the end, when the car honks, it's not because boys are making trouble, but because Jin is at the front of the car and blocks the road, so cars are honking. That's why Jin is driving, not others. Maybe other people don't exist. It's just a fantasy of Jin

When Jin saved one member, it bring butterfly effect to other members and cause them to 'bad end'.

Remember near the end of prologue, V jumped into the ocean...so beginning of Run, V went into the water but survived. Another thing to note, right before pillow fight started, J-Hope was at the hospital with Jimin.
And yes, you should be confused like we all were 😂. Basically from what I learned, a lot of the Run mv keeps going back in time.....so the scenes you see are not necessarily in order😶
Keep in mind, the lyrics might not totally match up with storyline.
But one thing to know, there’s Japanese versions of I Need U and Run music videos which provides more clues to the storyline.

Run is more like a progressive version of I need U, as in 'I need u' was telling you the backstory of those 7 kids, and Run is telling you how those 7 kids started to tell each other their own stories and they try to help/protect each other in the most fucked off fashion. In metaphors. Visually. :)

I didn't see the explanation video and i only read the notes, countless times to understand every little details and it's not impossible. I can say I really know a lot of the storyline and I have 90% of the story sorted out.
Just give them the opportunity, it's the only thing I'm saying.

Yes, you spend more time reading them than watching the video, but I think it's a more meaningful experience. You can ready every single word and feel so much and connect all the dots. It's always a beautiful experience for me and it's sad that so many people choose to not read them (even because there is so much work behind it)

ah okay you guys are just in the beginning but i just wanted to say my theory of these 3 videos.
RUN
so if you notice, they go back and forth between scenes that showcase them alone and them together. i think this shows that they were actually separated for a period of time. maybe months to years apart.
jin especially caught my eye. he's always shown alone in the same room, opening the curtains, lying on the bed, with the same clothes. i believe this signifies that he keeps going back in time over and over again, the days repeating and blending. and then we get to the others.
namjoon working in the gas station, being disrespected. eventually he takes a risk. his lollipop turns into a cigarettes on top of the money thrown on the ground maybe signifying change? or delinquency?
yoongi is alone. he has no one and nobody searches for him. he rents out a room in a motel and comits suicide. fire specifically. it's very important to his past.
hoseok takes lots of pills but i don't believe this signifies an overdose. more like, he's taking pills he doesn't need. not the right condition. instead of fainting, he "falls asleep" but wakes up almost immediately when no one is there to pay him attention.
jimin is not in a regular bathroom. it's too big. most likely in another place. it's a hospital. he's alone, trapped. by how wet he is, he's been there for a while and the water is also dirty. he tries to drown himself to alleviate his loneliness but alas he doesn't go through with it. he burns a picture of his friends. maybe signifying they aren't friends anymore?
taehyung is distressed throughout the whole video eventually seeing his father abusing his sister and killing his father most likely without thinking. you can see his sister trying to stop him but he doesn't. there's a few frames that you can see his sister sitting on the floor crying and him on the floor looking at his dead father with fear.
jungkook intentionally provoked some guys to beat him up. you can see he WANTED to get beat up. when he gets what he wants he simply gets up, walks out of the neighborhood and gets hit by a car. his story in this mv is short but it means something.
ON STAGE PROLOGUE
there isn't much to say about this video but it's an important part in the story. you can see the interactions certain members have with each other and more insight on their relationship. jin takes care of them and is mostly alone, namjoon comforts taehyung, yoongi and jungkook spend their time together and jimin and hoseok are together as well. the very last clip gives us a GIANT hint on what's going on and the butterfly affect. jin is alone in his car and decides to check a picture namjoon took of him and yoongi in the car. jin was missing.
RUN
much like i need you, shows the good times when they're together and the bad times when they're apart. only this time, they aren't all fine together. the moments i really want to talk about though are jimin's last bathtub moment, jin spacing of and yoongi and jungkook's fight.
yoongi and jungkook's fight is significant because really, they only have each other. after they fight and yoongi leaves, jungkook's whole world falls apart, leaving him thinking he's all alone which, he is. good times flash by as jungkook stares of into the open door. but wait, let's go before that. yoongi breakes the mirror and some blue flowers are seen. keep them in mind, they'll be important later.
the picture jimin sets on fire in a picture from the on stage prologue but again, jins missing.
and now jin spacing of. it may be that he is just spacing of so it looks cool but we all know that's not how this works. i believe run takes place in, hear me out, the past, present AND an alternate timeline. this is why jin is spacing of, he's remembering something. he feels it, the deja vu. but he can't quite place it.
and yeah, that's all im thinking right about now! sorry for the long comment and this is just my theory, i can be wrong. if you read this thank you!

You are right when you say v is struggling, he just killed his father, emotional struggles. Jin videotaping everything is important so keep an eye on him. Also the pairings you mentioned JK and Suga, is definitely one pair, There are two other pairs and one on his own.
What l did was went through the videos one by one and wrote things down, the more you watch each video the more you pick up.

there's already a hint that jin is time traveling. in the tunnel scene, jin was the one in the driver's sit, but there's this other scene where there's only 5 members at the back of the track and the 6th member is driving. the 7th member (jin) is not the one driving anymore
i'll give a little hint:
*the pairs are:*
*jungkook and suga*
*jimin and jhope*
*v and rm*
as you notice the maknae line which is the younger members of the group are each paired with a hyung and then you have *jin, the oldest, time traveling because he wants to "help his friends fix the mistakes that led them down this path" and save them. this information is taken from the summery of the webtoon novel called "save me".* I just used the summery so i don't think i revealed any detailed easter eggs. ;)
The real meaning behind this video is that it shows each member dealing with their sorrows after they loss their best friend who is portrayed as (Jin).....and the part where jk and Suga fought is that jk realises that his bestfrnd is really dead and tells others to stop doing all the crazy things and accepting the reality but Suga denies his frnd is dead and so quarrels.....and it shows Jin as driving for them in the near ending...it shows that jin is the driving force for their craziness and lastly it shows V drowning because he is the most affected as he kills his abusive father as shown in "I need u" mv
in the webtoon SAVE ME , Taehyung/V had somekinda sixth sense, he dreamed of the other members/friends..premonition way or something

In I need you jungkook got mixed into a bad crowd and was being pushed against a wall but I think in the run music video he’s being pushed against a wall by his own friends playing around with them almost like an alternate universe also jimin in the i need u mv was drowning himself in the tub but in the run mv he’s was playing in the tub with his friends it’s another universe where jin got to them in time and saved them and they’re happy hope I made sense

It's ok if you're confused. ARMYs have been trying to piece this ongoing storyline for years since the early days. BigHit finally confirmed the storyline early last year when they released the webtoon: *Save Me* (another awesome song) So yea, this masterpiece is still ongoing. 💜
in the RUN mv, we get to see the pairings more clearly, you see a LOT of jhope and jimin, rm and V, jk and suga. i guess specially jhope and jimin in this mv, try to notice the places they were seen at, and keep it in mind!! for the next things you’ll see, youll need it to understand it better!
A lot say that RUN (storywise) is before everything that happend in I NEED YOU, because V has not killed his father yet, plus the picture that JiMin burs is the one from I NEED YOU that he burns in beginning... so RUN must already have happend for him to burn the photo... and here JIN is missing... the last time I got the MV mixed up because I thought JIN was missing from the prolouge photo, but it is here that hes missing... its been a while since I watched the MVs ;-)... and then notice how JiMin and JHope are at some kind of hospital (they are a pair).. thats a recurring theme... and you saw RM and V spraying (they are a pair)...
