Her makeup, top and the opening and closing credits are all the Reggae colors. Their tastes and influences are deep and wide, and the band writes the music while Tatiana writes all the lyrics. No team of ghost writers making pop culture nonsense here, just true poetic talent!
She has written all the lyrics to this day, except for Sit Stay Roll Over, Dreadful Moments and the last part of Pisces, which were written by Eugene. : )
I saw these guys in Atlanta back in Sept 2019 at The Masquerade w/ Left to Suffer, Sumo Cyco, and The Browning in support...amazing performance, such a great live band!
The musicians write the music and Tatiana writes the lyrics (mostly). You were right when you said goddess because she won 2018 best metal goddesses vocalist award.
Ok Jinjer facts: Each member writes their own parts with some exceptions. The boys often collab together to come up with the instrumentals which means they might draft up parts on other instruments to fit the ideas they have, but all of the music is written in house and usually by the member that plays the part. Tatiana writes her own lyrics and vocal melodies, but on occasion Eugene will throw some lyrics in. The lyrics for Dreadful Moments, Sit Stay Rollover and the end of Pisces were written by Eugene. If you want to see what her stomach looks like just go to her IG, @tati_booyakah, she has lots of pics there, or watch The Prophecy music video
Such an amazing and really diverse in songwriting style but always maintaining their Jinjer personality. Tatiana and the rest of the band never ceases to impress me as well. as metalheads, its always really cool to see someone becoming on, discorvering the amazingness and falling for it! And also how ppl get surprised and disbelive women that sing with harsh vocals, but there are several, not enough, but a fair number. Makes me remeber as a teenager first time listning to Arch Enemy
1:48 to 2:10 , We all feel ya for sure. these guys are next level good. and the lyrics, well lets just say her feelings about judgement comes through .
Eugene, Roman and Vlad create the songs. Most often one of them writes a song and than they workshop it between the three of them (this info is from an interveiw with Eugene the bassist). When the music is done, they give her the song, she then writes the lyrics and the song lines etc. Eugene has written a few lyrics and helped Tati a very few times, but he says the lyrical and vocal parts of the creative process is all her 99,9% of the time
Just going through watching these jinjer reaction videos and just wanted to say, you have such a cute personality. At least during the performance of this video, who knows what you're like behind the scenes lmfao.
Great reaction, thanks for posting. Tatiana is amazing as so are band, Roman, Eugene and Vlad. You should check out, 'Perennial' live at Wacken, my personal favourite is 'Teacher Teacher' the official video.
You mentioned that Tatiana bowed up her shoulders but no one ever seems to notice that she also juts her jaw forward whenever she does extreme vocals. I'm a musician (though not a trained vocalist) but, I would think, it's to open her airway more.
Oh yea she is definitely creating more space. More space= more volume. While all of her power is coming from the diaphragm if you don’t open your mouth it’s can’t come out.

haha at 7:01 when you said mostly boys. I'm 100% guilty of not opening my mouth enough when I perform. I get yelled at by my vocal coach constantly. I noticed it on her right away when watching this video.
Fun reaction! Truly special band, the four of them. Try the amazing "Retrospection" a deep meaning song about their roots. The official video is great but the Live in Melbourne performance is even better.
Watched both Jinjer, and Spiritbox reactions. Enjoy your energy, commentary, and you got my sub 🤘 Although she is not a growler/screamer like Tati, or Courtney who both are metalcore vocalists, you definitely need to hear power metal vocalist Brittney Slayes from Unleash The Archers. She is an extreme belting goddess, and also is a master of recording vocals layers in different octaves for the harmonies in the studio, which she calls the "Brittney Choir" lol. She will blow your mind 🤯 If possible, please react to Tonight We Ride by Unleash The Archers 🤘🇨🇦
At 06:12 you forgot about the cat, but Tatiana didn't :) and again at 07:19 In the middle of doing that amazing session, she still has time to look down and check if the cat is ok
Before Tati was in Jinjer she was in a Reggae band. Here she is doing a set of NIrvana songs in a reggae style in a small club in Gorlovka. If you look closely you will see Eugene the bassist for Jinjer, as well as a former drummer and guitarist for Jinjer, in the crowd: th-cam.com/video/NXi0ghf3esU/w-d-xo.html It's worth a watch...

"God, she's so hot". Same girl, same. The gay panic I get when I see her everytime... yeah. My heart can't take it. She could punch me in the throat and I'd apologise to her instead 😂😂
Excellent reaction! Love how animated you are - seeing the faces you make reminds me of myself. :') PS Someone needs to pop their Devin Townsend cherry, imo. Kingdom (Live EMGTV) is usually the go-to, but perhaps one of his renditions of Bring Him Home or Deadhead (Albert Hall)
You did it! Okay, you've listened to a good deal of metal at this point so if you want to see a totally different way of screaming check out one of the live versions of Arch Enemy from 2008 (it's their previous singer, Angela) and you can see someone doing something called false chord vocals instead of what Tatiana and Courtney do which is vocal fry. I'd personally recommend "Blood On Your Hands" or "Dead Bury Their Dead" but I know most people are going to say you should listen to "Nemesis" which is definitely an awesome song, I just have my favorites. A few more metal bands/songs I'd recommend for interesting or impressive vocals (not necessarily female lead): Lamb of God - Walk With Me In Hell or, if you want some cleans, Overlord Gojira - Silvera, L'énfant Sauvage, Born For One Thing, or really anything else...they're amazing Opeth - Ghost of Perdition Pantera - Cemetery Gates Dimmu Borgir - The Chosen Legacy Job For A Cowboy - Unfurling A Darkened Gospel Strapping Young Lad - honestly there's so many here that I'd recommend but I'm sure most would say the song Love? is the one you should do. Now I'm not a singer. So take this with a grain of salt. But when you mentioned her getting into that stance, I really don't think it's a breath support thing. Her scream is completely in the false chords and epiglottis, so it's atonal. I think she was elongating her vocal tract. I believe Tatiana writes all the lyrics. Pay attention to the meaning of the songs. With Jinjer, lyrics matter.

Holly truth of Jesus in these words.

A Peter for the CAUSE! ❤️
That was a fantastic Cartmen voice!!

Tatiana writes the lyrics, some are very personal to her. I love that she puts so much soul in them

You might want to watch the official versions "Retrospection" and "Home Back". Both deal with their exile and going back home.

As for the reggae part, in case you did not know, some of Tati's favourite artists are Bob Marley and Amy Winehouse.
I can definitely hear the inspiration!
