The leader of a nation spending much of his weekends around close family and friends at his once private home, now a luxury hotel? Nothing wrong with that. I'll gladly pay for Trump's visit there. We need his wellbeing in good shape just as much as we need ours. It gives him a break from the liberal media industrial complex's fetish of constantly bashing every little thing he does, good or bad. Let the man have many breaks from the most stressful position in the world.
Not afraid of higher taxes, it's pooled money for shared community assets, such as repaired roads and teaching children art and physical education in public schools. Basics that make both local communities and the nation stronger.
But, do you really trust the government that much with our taxes? They fail us in almost every way possible, not to mention those in positions of power stealing the taxed dollars to live in million dollar homes. That's less money that the average American will have to spend for themselves to live good prosperous lives and will equate to less jobs because businesses will be taxed to death. Americans wouldn't be able to afford opening small businesses so only the wealthy will thrive in such a state..
I don't know about you, but I do not want another entity taking my wealth for themselves, because that is what would happen. It'll become a caste system where the lower classes will not have the power (money) and freedom to move up, even if they work hard.
I've always felt that paying taxes was patriotic and never had a problem with them, what I had a problem with was how they spent that money.

Not true, rump increased his fees at Mara Lago, forcing up the costs of all who attend, meaning secret service and anyone he wants there etc. And guess who rakes the money on that? Trump in less than a hundred days has spent 27 days at Mar-a-Lago
costing tax payers a low estimate of over 3 Million dollars a trip. This
amount was derived from the cost of one of President Obama's weekend
trips to Chicago because Trump won't allow any information about the
cost of his weekly outings to be release to the public that pays for it.
Although Trump travels with a much bigger entourage than the Obama's
and uses several more planes, the cost of each plane is just at $150,000
an hour to the tax payer. that’s not counting the cost the fighter jet
accompaniment, fuel and shutting down of airports and air travel during
the the Presidents flight. Then there's the hundreds of thousands of
dollars more for local police, the bill is over 5 million now. There's
also state police, national guard, coastguard and emergency services
racking up millions. local business are closing for good and filing for
bankruptcy because they are shut down for security purposes during the
weekly visits with no financial reimbursement. Trump has officially
played gulf 17 times, although the traveling press core has been kept
locked away in the basement of Mar-a-logo with blacked out windows for
hours at a time while other press reported and photographed him playing
golf in secret. So the actual amount the President has played golf
would seem to be a tightly guarded secret. The charge for membership in
the private resort hotel that is Mar-a Lago before Trump became
President was 1 hundred thousand a year per person, after winning the
office he raised the membership to 2 hundred thousand a year per person.
He charges members 10 thousand a piece to have dinner with him, that 30
thousand a piece for the full weekend. The dining room and outside
seating allows 190 members to dine and is full each night Trump is
there.That’s $5,700,000 almost 6 million a weekend that goes into his
pocket every weekend, yet we pay the over 3 million for the trip.
That's near 6 million he makes on top of the 2 hundred thousand a year
that the 300 members pay a year or 60 million dollars he collects for
membership plus $1,560,000 he charges a year for one member to dine with
him. So what our president will make from a year of weekend jaunts is
$468,000,000 for meals plus $60,000,000 for membership, a total of 528
MILLION DOLLARS, over four years that will be $2,112,000,000
going in Trump's pocket. Not counted is that taxpayers also pay for
transportation and accommodations of all Trumps guest, be they foreign
dignitaries or his personal guest for private business meetings and
entertainment, which he does a great deal of and always at tax payers
expense. Add this to the over 1 million a day
it cost tax payers for the first lady and her son the live at Trump
tower in New York city and the cost of this President's lavish lifestyle
for American citizens becomes staggering and surreal. Then
considering the extensive cuts he is making to funding for education,
healthcare, medical research, science and the arts while piling 54
billion upon an already outrageously bloated military budget only to
fill the pockets of his weapon manufacturer and military contractor
buddies, one must ask, how long will this madness be allowed to
continue?
