Pick me up Blink, I need you so bad. I'm still gutted Tom has departed, I actually dreamt that I asked Tom if he'd consider taking a year off from AvA to finish the Blink album or do another EP and to do a farewell tour, then he can continue with AvA after. He told me he'd think about. I hope this dream does come true. :)
LeeSa Mark and travis were just impatient. They were like little children, the way they acted. They'll probably get back together, i mean Tom DID say it'd just take a few phone calls. I'm with him on that one.
I think it's one of their best live performances due to their singing/playing along with a track underneath them. You can hear the way Tom's voice is doubled in the chorus and that reverse-piano affect in the 2nd verse (like it is on the cd)... So he gets to sing along with himself, which is a BIG help for him these days... Doesn't mean it don't like it though. Go blink!!
Down in general is just a fire 🔥 song. Travis has down dialed. There is a video where the band is dokng sound check so they play down to warm up and Travis just took it to another level on just a warm up
When they recorded this album Travis had to leave Tom and Mark alone on the set for about a month or so, cause he had something with The Transplants. Travis recorded some random drum rhythms and Tom and Mark had to chose one for every song. This is why some songs have similar drums. Also, if you go on and listen to every album you'll hear that every member had his own special way of playing in that album.
Tom is singing along to a backing track in the Chorus, that's the only reason it sounds better. This is why I wish I'd never studied music, makes you spot stuff like that and it becomes a curse!
its only because its being filmed on tv. lenny kravitz or however you spelled his name was there. he had to perform the same song twice because of technical difficulties with the recording. but when blink performs on the tour they do not sing to a backing track its nothing but their raw talent. your dont have to study music to notice they're are singing along to something.
ryan I You're wrong, dude. No offense, but I am trained to hear these things. I'm not saying you suck for not noticing, not many people do, all I'm saying is don't study music production because it makes you gain disappointment in your favourite bands. More do it than you think, the latest one I noticed was Devin Townsend... But he can actually sing, that's the thing. He doesn't need to. Tom cannot sing, that doesn't mean I don't like Blink, but Tom definitely cannot sing. From Enema of the state up until now all his vocal recordings on the albums are auto-tuned. Auto tune is the anti-christ to me ;)
You know the Album "The Tom, Mark & Travis show"? That entire album is fake. It was made in a studio and the audience were edited in. It's not hard to spot, there are several clues... But the main ones being that you can't hear anyone singing in the audience, just cheers and screams. These are faded in and out gradually, then there's the fact that Tom has NEVER sounded that good on stage in all his career. It's too perfect, no one can sing that perfectly while hammering a guitar. He doesn't even get out of breath.
silverflish did you actually study music? because every thing you just said is completely wrong. the tom, mark and travis show was recorded at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. it isn't fake at all. :I
I discovered Blink 3 years ago, when I was 18, when I got the first chance, because no one listens to Blink here, so I kinda think I know what you mean... If I was born 10 year earlier I think I would be a fan from the very beginning! Greetings from Croatia!
This actually got me through my deployment in Iraq. I'd listen to it every morning before we'd go on foot patrol. Not this version, but the album version. 2004.
My band played this version of the song live and when my drummer played the Feeling This part, we played the first verse/chorus of it and went back to the chorus of Down
I was a teen when this happened. It's sad because teens were already moving towards emo music during this time and were moving towards edgier stuff. I think Generation X probably had the best time music wise. They got to experience the awesomeness of punk's hayday from the 80's all throughout to the pop-punk sensation of the mid 90s - early 2000s.
I was going to say, Tom sounds way to good for this to be all him. Then i realized there was a backing track 😂 No one can harmonize with themselves except zoidberg!
@KiWiCrappy there's no auto tuning on any of the blink albums. There's even videos of Tom recording the vocals for the self titled album if you want proof that it's his singing untouched and unedited.
I love how Travis starts to drum Feeling This at 2:28, and crowd goes wild :3

he said he wanted to work with blink but if he did he would have to sign a contract not to release anything for ava :((
Situation fits the phrase "dream like scenario" perfectly xD
if they do it wont be this year, he wants to finish a new project with ava, much like the music video to "tunnels"
I would drag my dick through a mile of broken glass just to hear tom delonge fart through a walkie talkie
LeeSa Mark and travis were just impatient. They were like little children, the way they acted. They'll probably get back together, i mean Tom DID say it'd just take a few phone calls. I'm with him on that one.
I miss my childhood so much
I concur!
I like what Travis does at the end, gets the intro to "Feeling This" and plays it without the drags on the bass drum. His creativity amazes me.
marks hair looks bombbb in this performance.
travis always has such a good time whenever he plays and i love it
He's one of the best drummers In the world, has such an influencial style, the reason I first ever picked up a set of drumsticks!
I love how they incorporate 'Feeling This' towards the end (y)
mark looks like a modern day teen heartthrob in this
provyprov For sure. Mark was one handsome fella around this time.
There voices compliment each other perfectly... I love this band
When Teen Choice Awards had decent musicians presenting
More like a few gems among the vast load of crap. So basically the same as it is now.
Lauren M True
Now it’s all terrible music. Why can’t it be like this now ;-;
its teens choice what do you expect? teens nowadays have terrible taste in music
@@fintendonerd8457 I’m a tween are you saying I have bad taste for listening to this?
Best Mark's Hair ever.
Vinicio Uchoa Bezerra 🤘

What band doesn’t do that? The real questions would be was Tom caring or not during any given performance, and how drunk was he?
I think they killed it in Japan in ‘03 and Dublin UK in ‘04
@@justinTime077led Zeppelin never did 🤣
So glad they played this at their Sydney sidewave. I was so stoked!
This is how I'll remember blink forever and ever
Just realised that at 2:27 travis starts playing the intro to Feeling this :'D
+BeNeBgame definitely a missed oportunity

DAMMIT TOM! Why couldn't you be sober more often when playing live?
Best live version I've heard of this song. Not a joke lol, sweet!

thumbs up for the young kids keeping good music alive
FINALLY!!! A TH-cam description that lives up to its title, thank you on behalf of... well, everyone here :)
Travis is absolutely amazing
Its good because there's a vocal backing track and probably some other tracks like the reverse thing. Its not a bad thing but that's why its so good.

that ending
Amazing
sir...u just made my day. :D thankyou!
You can sorta hear the studio track underneath this performance, thats why they keep everything so tight
I like how they break into a Feeling This interlude almost.
This is so slow, you could even dance to it.
Love it.
teen choice awards :D love this
Proud of you kid, keep it up.
haha this vis is so good.
you gotta love them all, m, t & t.
haha nice! didn't catch that the first time. good ear!

My band played this version of the song live and when my drummer played the Feeling This part, we played the first verse/chorus of it and went back to the chorus of Down
Wow awesome

Awesome bands!!
i miss this blink-182 era

¡¡bLinK 182 4eveR!! AnD ¡EveR!
Sort of wish I was born earlier so I could have had the feeling of waiting for and buying their new albums.
hello 240p my old friend
I'm 20 now and I've been a fan since I was a little little boy.
I was going to say, Tom sounds way to good for this to be all him. Then i realized there was a backing track 😂 No one can harmonize with themselves except zoidberg!
good one ryan
Travis playing feeling this at the end
"He doesn't even know how to sit... it's just a pose" haha, that's what Tom said. you know Travis is always moving
The instrumental part at the end , about drum , it s the intro of Feeling This.Beste ever.
i am 17 and i listen blink i was 7when i started to listen the band :)
This is epic
Travis playing left foot bass drum and kicking ass like he did this all the time...... awesome
@KiWiCrappy there's no auto tuning on any of the blink albums. There's even videos of Tom recording the vocals for the self titled album if you want proof that it's his singing untouched and unedited.
YEAH!
this video gave me goose bumps :$
WHO SITS DOWN AT A BLINK CONCERT?!!! Travis does...
And Tom on a rare occasion when he is too far into it, he almost gets lost
He does sometimes play drums standing up lol 😂
amen man that was a intrense song it got me into blink i just fuckin love these guys
Aw man i was expecting to hear Feelin' This.
Sounds better because Tom's singing along a pre-recorded studio track.
*****
I know bro, I was just explaining people why they "think" it sounds better haha
Better than most pop artists nowadays where they let the track do it all for them and just lip synch
I would have to disagree with ryan, the reason it does sound better is because the tempo is much slower than the rest of their live performances.
they are still releasing new music!
2:59 smooth with it
The Teen Choice Awards?!??! Holy shit!
