I remember one of my first ever memories of VR was playing Rec Room VR for the first time way back on PSVR and this kid just walked up to me doing a really shitty Mario impression, followed by him jumping up and shattering what I assume was his light before hearing someone shout and him as he disconnected
I've brought my Quest to lots of different parties and houses, where there were people of all ages. My best friends who were in their 20s caught on pretty fast, but needed just a light introduction to get into it. Younger kids who really enjoyed the experience but sometimes got...a little too into it, getting incredibly energetic and I had to coax them down. then there were people in the far older age bracket, who genuinely thought it was a fascinating and cool piece of technology, and could handle it really well, regardless, because of the ease of use that Oculus put in when making it(Even though it's now Meta, it was Originally Oculus who made it). With each person, I would ask them what kind of experience they wanted to try and would lead them to either a free one on the store, or let them try out a similar game I already owned. VR is such a passionate thing for me, that whenever people try it out, I want them to have the most enjoyable experience possible, especially when it's their first time going into it. I don't want them walking away with a sour taste, just because I gave them the wrong app or game. VR has so many amazing applications, all the way from playing games, to hanging out with people, to learning music, to education, etc. and I'm on board for all of it. I want people to be able to see VR in the way that I see it, which is a platform and medium that is just now starting to really take off and grow into something amazing with what it can do. Even if it's not something some people care for, I understand that. The VR world keeps getting bigger everyday, and pretty soon people who are already living, and making a living, in VR are gonna have an easier time more and more doing it. Now before this turns into a full blown TedTalk, I'm gonna stop...because I could easily keep going.
And as a person who doesn’t own a vr headset but has family that do I play from time to time but I will be getting meta quest 3 when it is released and i am looking for any tips for beginners to vr because every video I watch is the exact same thing
@@silentsaibot3722I’d recommend you think before hand what games you’d like to play and see if the type you are looking for is on the oculus store. I didn’t check before hand and ended up being confused on what games to get. I’d say you should put aside some money to buy games with. Here’s some good games: Into the Radius - A survival horror game kind of like S.T.A.L.K.E.R but in VR. Assassins Creed Nexus - a game where you embody 3 characters from the popular Assassins Creed franchise Blades and Sorcery - A medieval sandbox in which you can fight against various enemies or download mods or mess around. Vader immortal - a Star Wars game in VR where you can follow the story (although it is very short) or use the lightsaber training dojo! I’d recommend you get Vader immortal III since it has the best dojo. Pavlov - I haven’t got this game but from what I’ve seen and heard, it seems like a very funny and entertaining shooter game to play. Pistol whip - it’s hard to describe but it’s really fun to play. Super hot - the matrix meets red guys. One of the best VR games on the store but sadly too short Beat saber - guitar hero and Star Wars make a baby where you cut blocks. It’s one of the most popular VR games ever made. Bone lab - not played this either but it’s essentially a physics based game although people say you’ll get bored after a while There’s plenty more games so please try free trials!
Your forgot the “Not Enough Space” ve user. The user that is always hitting their ceiling fan, running into their bed and dresser, hitting walls, and sometimes breaking knuckles (I know this from personal experience). That’s also the kind of vr player I am.
Same. I just got echo vr like a week ago and I have 7 cuts on one hand and 2 in the other just from playing and slamming my hand on my bookshelfs edge.
Idk why but even though I have enough space, I’ll still gravitate towards my dresser or walls. I ended up cutting my knuckles from how hard I was hitting my dresser.
@@juju57mx I used to be this type of person, I had a lot of space, like well over the roomscale recommended space. something I did to stop this was put a folded blanket or small rug in the center of the area and playing barefoot. if i walk too far, i can feel a change in texture and know to back up.
Whenever I play Blade and Sorcery my walls, night stands and hands are in danger.... should probably invest in some motorcycle gloves for MY OWN SAFETY.
Funnily enough, the only musician I’ve ever encountered in VR so far was a really chill guy-he only knew a few songs that he could play, but it was still a nice time for the small group of people that gathered around to listen.
My personal selection of Quest 2 player-type is a mix of 2. I am an aspiring Hardcore-Lord player. I can't help but communicate and be tactical in games like Pavlov and Zero Caliber, with me running from cover to cover, tilting my gun to use the laser, providing cover fire for teammates, and hitting the ground so hard I embed bits of floor in my jawbone. I am also working towards becoming a VR Musician. I want to learn the guitar and always have, and will most definitely set up song request areas in games like Vrchat and others.
I'm the simpleton. I get curious about the simplest stuff and I get impressed by a stack of blocks or a paper airplane. I love casual games like Job Simulator.
In my opinion, the biggest problem when I forget to put on wrist straps is not me dropping them, but rather having the adjusters at the end of the straps constantly colliding with my controllers and ticking every single note I hit a note while playing Beat Saber.

I’m proud to say I’m a recovered sprinter - however when I was just starting vr I remember running straight into a couch whilst playing superhot. Thank goodness it was just a couch. Can also confirm my firmed is a hardcore lord through and through. I remember watching him crawl around the living room for a solid 30 minutes and screaming with the headset on
I used to be the, “look mom no wrist straps” kind of person until I broke my computer monitor while playing Rec Room paintball and throwing a paint gernade. I’m now officially the hardcore lord because I feel like I can’t stop playing paintball or Pavlov like it’s ww2 lmao.
I use to enjoy Pavlov until hackers started being part of the equation. They want to act like you can't hack the quest platform when it's a android device which means if you are familiar with Android file structure you can mod and hack any game on the platform
I once was playing Blades n Sorcery on a friends headset and got so overwhelmed I started running. Luckily my friend grabbed me before I could run into anything. That's the first and last time I let my feet leave the floor in VR
With the “sprinter”, I tend to beat the hell out of my room,I tried to kick a door open in a game and kicked my fan over and nearly put a hole in my wall
I once got so scared when playing Beat Saber, that I dropped on knees and covered my head with hands. Sensory issues and quick games don't always mix well, I suppose
Haha this was awesome!! Honestly I'm a combo of pretty much everything.. my favorite being echo vr tho.. I'd just started a match; went for the ball, and im flying for the goal when this guy came up next to me like "hey over here! Pass it!" I was like "me?", "yes you!" 😂 the game got pretty heated, but I went to catch a pass and slammed my hand down on a ukulele on the edge of my dresser and it smashed me in the face 🤣 it made this perfect cartoon guitar smash sound and it got the whole team cracking up!! I'm kind of the "hardcore" player but not so extreme but I'm more of a "helper" I will often help people who are new to a game get better at it with some tips I learned while I was getting good at a game, but I'm also the kind of person that is good enough that I can even help already skilled players at games like beat saber by "keeping them on their toes" or helping them stay focused so they don't fall behind
5:33 fun fact, I was in the Bigscreen Lobby looking for movies to watch and there was a piano playing in the background. I soon found out it was someone just playing their piano. Nonetheless, it was a great song and a wholesome moment
Funny story about the Boomer one. I was playing battle arena free for all. I'm killing it so I decide to change lobbies. Big mistake. There was a guy who was absolutely clapping everyone like no one could touch him. After every kill he would say oh yeah. And the man was like 40. It was awesome to see and kinda made me reconsider my vr capabilities.
i met a 72 year old on pc Pavlov once. he was the sweetest guy ive ever met, his grandkids giggling in the backround as he tried top play minecraft prisonbreak. one of the best lobbies ive ever been in
One thing that really annoys me Is people thinking I’m a squeaker just because I’m younger and people will kick me from Lobbies and mute me all the time because they think I’m a squeaker just from my voice even though I’m just trying to have fun in VR
2:48 oh yes, that’s my little sister. She’s been banned like countless times in recent room, for being annoying. She screams like no one can hear her for some reason and my mom gets mad. Every five seconds she says “IM AM gIrL iM A GiRl” and “IM RePoRtiNg YoU” some shit like that. I can’t stand it, I think I might just take it away from her
Gotta admit, I’ve been playing VR since it came out, and I’m still a sprinter. Can’t tell you how many time I have punched doors and walls on accident playing echo.
Hmmm, not sure I really fall into one of those groups, at 59 I fit in to the boomer cat but I've been using computers since 1979 and building them since about 1994 and dreaming about VR since I saw it on Red Dwarf back in the 1980's. While I'm new to VR I no exactly what I'm getting into and loving it. Maybe a smart arsed Boomer! 8-)
What about me, the guy who sees a video a decides to play and for a good 3 days he plays one game than puts the headset away until he sees another video in 2 months
I call under the musician stage I like streaming sometimes it’s fun.some people are nice! Other people are not…. Also I love your content you do a good job and are very funny great content man,
I’m definitely the “forgets their mic is on” player. Generally it’s not a problem but one time I took a call like a dingus and everyone in my Demeo game roasted me for it lol. I’ll be honest, I still have no idea how to mute and unmute the mic >__
I would recommend (if your looking to spend money), to buy the VR Cover wrist straps. They are so nice!! All I have to do it just slide my hands through them. Normally I don’t even need to tighten them.
I've been on VR for 5 days and I've experienced the squeakers the mutes and the horrible guitar, ukulele and piano players. Can't wait to meet more of these VR folk I fall under the VR doodler if I find a marker I can doodle with. I will try to draw in VR like I do in real life and they come out pretty good. I cover up profanity written on walls or rework penises drawings done on the wall unrecognizable because I redraw them into a flower or a pretty little mushroom and you can't see where the original profanity drawing started from.🤣
My friend is a sprinter, I invited him to my house and he’s heard of blade and sorcery so I let him try it, then he went into a fight and kept circling around the edges of the guardian.😅 Then soon he turned around and some dude attacked him and he walked backwards straight into a wall while screaming😂
bro, i met this 60 year old in rec room paintball and let me tell you he was dropping 50 every game he was super cool and one of my favorite VR moments ever
For wrist straps people buy some grips there are some where it goes around your knuckles I use them it helped me to not yeet my controller across the room
love that you decided to shred one out halfway the vid :D got an oculus quest 2 last month (i know i know its meta now :( ) an been watching alot of your vids! found great games and tips thru them
7:37 literally my first experience with VRchat lol. I was like 12 back then and when I joined The Black Cat for the first time and saw a bunch of furries and anime girls with the deepest and greasiest vioces I had ever heard my tiny brain was just like, "Is this what everyone is like in VR?". It wasn't enough to make me quit VR, but it really changed how I see muliplayer games as a whole.
I'm a hardcore sweat on gorilla tag, spending most of my time rocking in default lobby's as people are arguing, however, other then that I'm pretty chill with people and really enjoy the vr community.
I like to go on Gorilla Tag casual lobbies and play the piano. I make sure everyone is fine with it and adjust the volume so people can hear each other. I take song requests if I can play it. Feels good to be part of the 0.1% :)
Honestly, I find a decent amount of squeakers in the FFA hub part of Gun Raiders. I am an open mic'er because I like gun raiders, and the "Mute Microphone" in the settings doesn't really work too well, also, if you press the oculus button, the microphone is still active, until you leave the game.
1:36 lol I got that same poster (the one where the astronaut is rowing through space) didn’t think this was relevant but pretty cool we got the same interests 🤷♂️
I remember a while ago I met a grandma in a gorilla tag lobby and managed to teach them how to be average at the game, even learning one flank, they were like, 65-70
I don't think I'm in any of these types. I'm a long time gamer who bought a "2nd hand" HP mixed reality headset (turned out it was still brand new but only paid a quarter of the price for it) and when I saw the price drop a couple of weeks ago, bought a Quest 2. I have played on pc using the link cable, played using the headset by itself and I am going to start using BEATFIT and CREED to exercise and hopefully get fitter. Never got motion sickness from using either headset. I'm a H3VR person, being an Australian and firearm deprived, it is absolutely "wonderful" to play...
I’ve done #2 a few times now, once i was playing blafe and sorcery and I completely fell forward onto my bed. Other times I’ve just stumbled but it’s the worst when your playing a roomscale game walking backwards irl and forwards in VR to recenter yourself in the guardian. That shit fucks your mind up
I'm in the no wrist string category. my left string broke a while ago and i took off the right string a couple of minutes later because it didn't feel comfortable. since then I've been still been playing for hundreds of hours with out them on and have not an any issues with them slipping out of my hands or getting dropped on the floor.
I'm what I call a "Horror Warrior" kind of player. I love Horror VR games, but my main draw is games like blade and sorcery, skyrim vr (modded), hellsplit arena. Games that put me behind a sword and shield and allow me to do battle in a brutal way >:)
I remember one of my first ever memories of VR was playing Rec Room VR for the first time way back on PSVR and this kid just walked up to me doing a really shitty Mario impression, followed by him jumping up and shattering what I assume was his light before hearing someone shout and him as he disconnected

Holy crap! I’m so excited to finally be able to get the quest 2! I’ve been watching you and thrill seeker since November, I’m so excited to see this. Thank you for bringing me into this community, I’ve seen this video like 3 times now. Because I just love vr, thank you. And a late merry Christmas!
Edit: I saved up for it and finally got it! Thank you for all the comments and I enjoyed replying to all of you! Except for you glam bomb, I will find you………. (I’m just joking you’re funny.)
Bro same christmas is on jan 7 due to my religion and I've been on edge waiting for it lol
@@maksimoomoo8488 There's something that's similar to Christmas called the three kings it's on Jan 6 also what religion are you I want to get to know people
@@sodiac3811 oh np! Well im christian and we usually celebrate on jan 7 because that’s actually when jesus was born not on the 25th
Ok so...
i was apart of no wrist straps gang, i got the quest pro controller but with the quest 2. thanks gorilla tag
ok so basically the tracking ring of the quest 2 controller went bye bye
I'm kind of the "hardcore" player but not so extreme but I'm more of a "helper" I will often help people who are new to a game get better at it with some tips I learned while I was getting good at a game, but I'm also the kind of person that is good enough that I can even help already skilled players at games like beat saber by "keeping them on their toes" or helping them stay focused so they don't fall behind
Yeah same.
When one of his videos drop its like Christmas
lmao that's so kind, thank you
I agree with that because I am just waiting like it’s gonna take all year.
True
@@Bl4zing_Fire atleast its once a week ish unlike some other yters lol
@@puddle.studios yep. I herd of a channel that didn’t post in at least months
Honestly, I think that the sprinter makes it more fun if you aren't running into stuff, and feeling like you are actually in the vr world
and that's why I play in the yard

I’m probably the guy who treats Pavlov like nuclear war
im “look mom no wrist straps”, everyone lets unite to ban the sqeakers
I’m a sqeaker but I’m with this cause I hate my self
im only 2% squeaker… do i count?
@@teddfredd3028 no
i met a 72 year old on pc Pavlov once. he was the sweetest guy ive ever met, his grandkids giggling in the backround as he tried top play minecraft prisonbreak. one of the best lobbies ive ever been in
Im honestly just a casual gamer, I rly want that copy of Synth Riders
I vouch for yoy
One thing that really annoys me Is people thinking I’m a squeaker just because I’m younger and people will kick me from Lobbies and mute me all the time because they think I’m a squeaker just from my voice even though I’m just trying to have fun in VR
This. This is why I just never talk in vr. Whenever I talk I just get insulted and blocked because my voice is high-pitched.
I can’t stand it, I think I might just take it away from her
dude take it away u can get banned for being under 13
Gotta admit, I’ve been playing VR since it came out, and I’m still a sprinter. Can’t tell you how many time I have punched doors and walls on accident playing echo.
echo vr is when i really get into the game I can tell you how many times I've tried to reach into my floor trying to get the disc
@@user85387 lol same
You are a wonderful presenter. I think you have a great career ahead of you.
lol im the sprinter, exept its if im falling in vr I just collapse 😂
i'm totally the one that forgets its not real, im still getting used to it lol
When I got mine on Christmas I tried to place my controller on a virtual table, it fell lmao.
@@McFlakiesi was supposed to throw my virtual hand (not irl hand) and threw my controller across my room and on my brother's head

I’ll be honest, I still have no idea how to mute and unmute the mic >__
same
R . I . P .
echo we will miss you
😔
I’m a “look mom no wrist straps” except I actually know how to grip things, a seemingly rare ability in the vr community
same
You never learn
I’m definitely the “mom look no wrist straps”. Their so inconvenient sometimes when you just want to play quickly
I learned my lesson from that
I never use them I only drop my controller like 1/100
That’s an accurate comparison
I would recommend (if your looking to spend money), to buy the VR Cover wrist straps. They are so nice!! All I have to do it just slide my hands through them. Normally I don’t even need to tighten them.
Gethip: “a non quest 2 user”
Me: “my quest 1 is no match for you”
Personally, I'm the "Look mom, no wrist straps!" user, since I don't know how to put them on. I'm new to VR, since I got a Quest 2 yesterday :D
@Kali Evelynn It is, and I recommend buying an unofficial link cable for it.
I've been on VR for 5 days and I've experienced the squeakers the mutes and the horrible guitar, ukulele and piano players. Can't wait to meet more of these VR folk
I fall under the VR doodler if I find a marker I can doodle with. I will try to draw in VR like I do in real life and they come out pretty good. I cover up profanity written on walls or rework penises drawings done on the wall unrecognizable because I redraw them into a flower or a pretty little mushroom and you can't see where the original profanity drawing started from.🤣
As Someone Who's a Squeaker and a quest 2 user, I love this video.
I mainly play Vaication simulator btw.
My friend is a sprinter, I invited him to my house and he’s heard of blade and sorcery so I let him try it, then he went into a fight and kept circling around the edges of the guardian.😅 Then soon he turned around and some dude attacked him and he walked backwards straight into a wall while screaming😂
No the vr junkie from boneworks 1:55
I’m the open mic and it’s not on there but I’m the dude that hit’s something and all you hear is “OW THE HURT OWWWW eh I’m ok”
bro, i met this 60 year old in rec room paintball and let me tell you he was dropping 50 every game he was super cool and one of my favorite VR moments ever
This is one of the funnier VR videos I've watched
6:29 here's a comeback for that if you just don't want to be bothered "when did I ask peasant?"
I'm the never getting over that motion sickness VR user so they only play in 10 minute bursts
For wrist straps people buy some grips there are some where it goes around your knuckles I use them it helped me to not yeet my controller across the room
love that you decided to shred one out halfway the vid :D
got an oculus quest 2 last month (i know i know its meta now :( ) an been watching alot of your vids! found great games and tips thru them
Squeakers to me are either
1. kids who scream a lot
2. fortnite dances
3. lagging
and as a bonus, squeaky voice
I just got vr a few day's ago and found this dude and already loving his vids
Honestly, I find a decent amount of squeakers in the FFA hub part of Gun Raiders. I am an open mic'er because I like gun raiders, and the "Mute Microphone" in the settings doesn't really work too well, also, if you press the oculus button, the microphone is still active, until you leave the game.
hardcore lord
“And talking about you guys being special”😂
1:36 lol I got that same poster (the one where the astronaut is rowing through space) didn’t think this was relevant but pretty cool we got the same interests 🤷♂️
I just love when I hear kids parents burst in their room screaming “didn’t I tell you to put that thing up an hour ago?!” 💀💀
As a VR User, I feel called out as a Hardcore Lord. NGL
I remember a while ago I met a grandma in a gorilla tag lobby and managed to teach them how to be average at the game, even learning one flank, they were like, 65-70
1:58 I love this part of the video I do not know why
I don't really think I'm on here, but I'm just the guy that walks up to people, waves, and starts a conversation.
funniest vid i've seen in a while, lmao great job
That shit fucks your mind up
I'm more of the casual VR player who plays all the games gets motion sickness but still comes back for more
I’ve noticed a kind of user almost like a “mood setter” the kind of player that will use words to have everyone chill down and listen to music.
Some of my favorite games are vrchat, gunraiders, echoVR, and Vader Immortal
I am a proud squeaky voice user, but I don’t do the weird squeaky things of annoyance, but I do go into rec room and harass them from the inside.
I met the two funniest squeakers last night in vr chat. Normally I hate them and run but these two where so funny man no disrespect just chaos.
I'm in the no wrist string category. my left string broke a while ago and i took off the right string a couple of minutes later because it didn't feel comfortable. since then I've been still been playing for hundreds of hours with out them on and have not an any issues with them slipping out of my hands or getting dropped on the floor.
Let’s goo I’m .1% on musician
I'm what I call a "Horror Warrior" kind of player. I love Horror VR games, but my main draw is games like blade and sorcery, skyrim vr (modded), hellsplit arena. Games that put me behind a sword and shield and allow me to do battle in a brutal way >:)
