This presenter, for a youngster-relative of course- has approached this topic in a very profound way and justifies where myth was used, if at all. Few approach their topic with such an open mind.
Very impressive. I've learnt a lot. Thank you.

I consulted the Agastya Nadi astrologer in Kerala. It is truly amazing that the astrologer found my leaf after going thru stacks of it, named my father, mother, spouse, our professions, children and other details all from my thumb print! Very remarkable experience!

Top many facets of the vastness talked about. Ultimately it went round n round. Talker is no doubt a very knowlageable but need to be focused on one or two topics. He should have 4-6 lecture separately on each. Sanskrit language n phonetic, Astrology linked with Astronomy, 3 basics for Ayurvedic science, Veda Upanishad Purana Ramayana Mahabharata, Gita, mysticism, Seeking.... all these separate talk. Wish hiim great success in your next video. I want citti n him be celebrated more glorious b convincing way. Narrow n sharp to cut through the believers' false faith.

The biggest problem with Indian sciences like Ayurveda is that they have not gone through academic rigor. For example, what percentage of diagnoses is correct? What percentage of remedies is successful? And, regarding sciences such as astrology: the planetary movements and calculations are very interesting, but why do these movements affect individuals' life events? I am very proud of my heritage but my opinion is that we should acknowledge that not every aspect of Sanatana Dharma is true, or at least needs plenty of further research. Hindu philosophy is outstanding and no other religious philosophy can come close to it. But a little rational skepticism about other claims can be healthy for all Hindus.

Hey, that's interesting; I came to the same essential conclusion, Rajashekhar, but from the opposite direction. As a European, it seems to me that certainly "Western" medicine is more effective than any other sort, and astrology is basically garbo no matter where it's from. On the other hand, I was absolutely blown away by Indian linguistics/logic/epistemology/philosophy/religion/spirituality, etc.; once I began diving into medieval Indian philosophical schools and the stunning elaboration of practices, theories, and knowledge covered under the umbrella of "religion and spirituality"...
...well, it seemed to me, then, that our Abrahamic faiths and academic philosophical disputes were shamefully primitive and barren. For spiritual practice, self-investigation, analysis of consciousness and reality, the meaning of life, and all the other big questions, we've essentially got just "pray, which is either reciting a rosary or thinking words in your head; also, the answer to all that stuff is 'one big God and these few texts say all we know about Him' so stop thinking about it, alright?" And that's about it.
There's more knowledge, curiosity, detail, and technique than this in one single Upanishad, I feel!
(Note: I don't really like the term "spirituality" - it reeks of B.S., maybe due to my personal past associations - but I use it here to mean "investigation of consciousness, meaning, and other 'big questions'".)
(Note #2: Re: the commenter responding to you, on Ayurveda: I have little experience with the subject, except insofar as it impinges on mental health. Short- or long- term, Ayurvedic treatments have not impressed me in this area. [I.e., they have not significantly outperformed placebo in the only studies I have looked at, for e.g. anxiety.] But I am fully prepared to change my mind if - and indeed, I am hopeful that - I merely have not seen the greater part of the evidence yet.)

Please understand that Buddhism, Jainism, etc. that have explicitly branched out are based on pre-existing Hindu school of thoughts namely Mimamsa. Buddhism essentially preaches materialism, that is everything is a creation of Nature and that there is no role here for God. The next idea then is that nature plays a major part and God nominally contributing to the creation. This is basically Jainism. If you continue like this then you will at some point realize that everything is God and that's what is Advaita. So Buddhism and Jainism are just labels and specialization of a larger Sanatana umbrella of different approaches to realize Brahman.

Wrong to say Hinduism is polytheistic. Yes polytheism exists in Hinduism, but above that is monotheism exemplified by Brahman as the ultimate reality
    All upanishads say that.

Shastras dont deny at all that brahman can take various forms. According to our adhikara, our level of sadhana or qualification, we can worship divinity in various forms, as prescribed by shastras- not as we like. We accept our existence with all diverse forms but why is there a difficulty that Brahman cannot take different forms. He or She is perfectly capable. And it is allowed to worship various devatas also for material benefits that they care capable of delivering, or for knowledge of Brahman. In fact we also look upon whoever gives us knowledge and nurture us in life as divine and worship them. Whoever provides for and has the dharma to are for us throughout life are also Bhagawan for us(in that form). One needs to study shastras under guru shishya parampara to understand these aspects of Hindu dharma. Translations lead to misunderstanding.

All said and done. There cannot be more than one God. There is only one God the creator of heavens and earth. The God of Israel and the whole world. who said go across to all ends of the earth.. be fruitful and multiply. All power and Glory is with Him and in Him and only through Him. God wanted us to spread across nations. He wanted us to have multiple languages. He guides his sheep. And his only son Jesus Christ said before Abraham was I am. He is the Alpha and the Omega. God promised man he would send someone like him who would speak his words. Heal the sick the blind. He would be the new Adam the new covenant and whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. That doesn't mean non believers with a good conscious will not have eternal life. But all authority in heaven and earth belongs to Jesus
