    As a beginner DJ this is peeeeeerfeeeeeect for me to learn. Please make more like this video-short transition scratch patterns. I am trying hard but propably I will never be a scratch DJ, however having couple transition patterns in my sleeve I could surprise with a dope transition.

    As always, another helpful video. Thank you for breaking everything down so well. Can't wait to practice this one. Sounds awesome, and I love the simplicity. This seems like a pattern that I can easily use, and it will not overshadow the music or be too "scratchy". Thank you!!!

      Thanks Kevin!! You’re more than welcome!
      I’m definitely trying to balance some of the more simple patterns with the complex ones because a lot of people/crowds don’t even wanna hear “too much” scratching aha. But definitely hope this one sticks and is a good one you can use!
      Of course! Thanks for the support 🙏🏾

    You inspire and educate us on the daily bro. Mad love ❤ . Keep em coming 💯 👌. Would you do us a solid and give us a clean 30min+ hiphop mix (or any Genre)? Incorporate all the tricks in it so we can get a feel of how your songs build up and how you maintain tempo and energy.

    Excellent as always! Definitely will be practising using this transition. It would have been nice to see a visual representation of where each of chirps, squibbles, and releases fall within the bar. Still easy to follow. Thank you!

      @@DJLiftOFF Some ways of using scratches to jump BPM would also be super awesome. Scratching out of your current Tune or scratching in to cover BPM jumps ect. I will for sure use this one to drop in a track at a different BPM though :)

    Is it easier (better) to be on moving platters as opposed to stationery jog wheels? Especially for situations when you let the platter go and catch it

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I personally think so 100% - it’s much easier to learn the basics and get the movements down. However, with stationary jog wheels, you can learn and do everything just as you can with moving platters of course. When I first started DJ’ing more with stationary jog wheels, I just pictured in my head that the wheel was moving so it just felt natural when I still pulled back. Now it’s second nature.
      So it really depends on the person because I know some people who are amazing scratchers with jog wheels and learned on them too!

    Great job with this videos. Thank you so much. I have a question. you are doing 3 chirps scribble letting platter go, then another chirp before you let go of platter. Is this not 5 beats vs 1 bar -4 beats? i am a bit confused. did i count it incorrectly? thank you again

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!! And you’re welcome! And yes, you explained it correctly in terms of the techniques used and it’s a total of 4 beats (1 bar) with the drop being on the “5th beat”.

    • @superdad8274
      @superdad8274 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DJLiftOFF I am sorry to ask again.. 3 chirps.. scribble.. chirp.. is this not 5 beats? Thank you again..

    • @superdad8274
      @superdad8274 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DJLiftOFF then the release of platter is a total equals 6 beats?

    is this simlar to a joe cooley scratch?

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve seen of the joe Cooley scratch on TH-cam but never actually listened to it. I just made this particular pattern up but I’m 100% sure I was inspired by something I’ve heard so it could be very similar
