Very cool, great soundtrack for that ride, ideal really. I've never been to Denver but from photos it seemed the original freeways were under built and unimpressive, it looks like CDOT took care of that! They did a great job with TREX and the Mousetrap. Good stuff!
I lived in Denver for three years 1996-99 and I-25 was really congested and during rush hour, I stayed away from it. Other than that I miss being in Denver, seeing the mountains in your backyard and Downtown Denver was much cleaner than Downtown Cleveland which is now looking like Detroit's downtown due to lack of business. thanks for showing this video. this reminds me of where i used to live even better.
i basically drive from the mousetrap to county line rd everyday ( which is the next exit after c 470 in the video) and the ride goes by pretty quick but at rush this stretch can be a nightmare and it is very common to see the traffic backed up from 470 all the way to 84 th ave with some breaks for a half mile in between,the traffic on i25 can get pretty backed up even on the weekends especially in Thornton and Northglenn (northern suburbs) i still love Denver very beautiful for a city this big!
@eluko79 And that stadium is new as well. It is a replacement of the original Mile High Stadium, which was located right by where the current Mile High Stadium is.
in 1973 i lived in apt 6 , 1641 washington street, denver. i worked construction building houses off arapahoe road I-25 south. before arapahoe road there was a white 6 story building on the left when driving southbound on I-25 south first highrise i worked on. if anybody knows please comment here
In Serbia and most of Europe the standard speed limit is 120 kilometers per hour (around 72 mph) and if there are barriers on both sides it's often 130. Don't tell me there are non-urban areas in US where the highway speed limit is LESS than 75mph! :-0
I love your videos , I also love Denver , Is Thornton Parkway exist 220 ? I also heard that they want to change completely the I 70 from I 225 to I 25 and put tolls and lowering the entire corridor ? Do you know anything about that proposed project ? Also they are adding more express lanes from 120 Th Ave to Colfax ? I would love to know and thanks for the video
