I actually still have both as separate songs on my iPod ripped from one of the “very best of R&B” CDs from back in the day! I’d love to get them on my phone but they don’t appear to be available anywhere digitally as separate full songs.
Alesha Dixon is my favourite judge,singer,rapper and presenter!!
I have a big of an obsession with her music and mis-teeqs
Alesha is so much fun. She appeared as a guest judge on RuPaul’s drag race UK Season 3 last year and the drag queens performed Scandalous and Alesha was LIVING! She cheered them on and was so hyped up and it was such a fun moment.
Sabrina & Alesha were the respected lead singers (similar to Destiny's Child [Bey & Kelly], SWV [Coko & Taj], TOTAL[Keisha & Pam] ) Su-Elise performed all Alto (Lower) Harmonies, her voice is present on EVERY track, she wields a very distinctive & controlled lower register, it is feminine & dark, so range was needed considering Sabrina & Alesha are high sopranos whose voices are near opposite. Su-Elise also choreographed a majority of videos.
This person actually knows vocal 101. I hated how people kept saying Su-Elise never sings in their songs, she in fact, sings a whole lot. Sopranos are just easier to hear first, but Su-Elise was needed for their songs to feel complete. :)
I really liked when Su-Elise harmonised with Alesha, because it made a very distinct sound. There are a lot of parts to their songs where they do this, like the "we like it, we like it, we really really like it" where you can mainly hear Alesha, but Su-Elise really bolsters it.

@Torrey Lar-Parker The song you're referring to is _Just for You_ , it's one of my favorite Mis-Teeq songs. Su-Elise had a big Solo part and it was easily the best one, even better than Alesha's. She nailed it. I'm still perplex as to why they didn't release it as a single. It could be a smash hit.
She has a very distinctive voice.. her tone really rounds out their harmonies.
I LOVE Mis-Teeq. A lot of great songs, a come back would be amazing.

Definitely a modern TLC for their time, Alesha can definitely spit some bars like Lisa would on TLCs songs.. Just only one Exeception, one of the members not being able to participate in the assignment as much (Sue) even though she is truly underrated.. TLC all had leads or time to shine throughout their time.

@@AmirKhan-yv8jm No, in the UK the sixth form is where you go after doing your GCSES (General Certificate of Secondary education). We do our GCSES at 16 in most subjects, but we can drop some humanities and languages and choose 1 to do. The sixth form does A levels, Advanced levels which you do to go to university, or a vocational course like hairdressing or childcare is also taught at sixth form which is for 16-19yo.

I don’t know why but this look like it was a good summer.
The problem with this group is I loved them as a kid but now growing up I can see they're label forced them into becoming way to American, it's quite ridiculous looking back.
The majority of their music was very much inspired by UK Garage. Especially their first album. Even their second album (which mostly strayed away from UK Garage) was still pure British R&B sounding than American.
