It's one of those things that everyone can say they understand, but unless you have been privy to it personally in some way, shape, or form, you really can't. I'm not trying to get down on anyone that has ever said that to someone to comfort them because, believe me, the effort alone means so so much when we are searching for meaning. Just know there are lots of us out here, bud, and if you need to talk, I'm always here. I'm sure that offer stands from most of us who have experienced it.

I think there's like a verbal muscle memory association going on. Like playing certain chords and notes in sequence (songs) helps trigger memory of the lyrics. I used to write a lot. Obsessively. It's easier to remember your own work and song writers go over their own shit repeatedly just learning to sync lyrics and instrumentation together. I dunno, spitballing. Maybe he just takes a lot of multivitamins.
