    I noticed the spinning bowl and really liked that. In our family, if the cats can see the bottom of the bowl, they are convinced that they are starving. 🙃

      oh yes, this is cat logic. "I can see the bottom of the bowl! my human has forsaken me and left me to starve! my death is imminent! look at me I'm wasting away!"

    Just need one that drains water bowl and refills it on a schedule or am I being lazy? During hot days giving fresh while out of the home be good.

      I mean, it's dry food, so it shouldn't need frequent refreshing, but perhaps an integrated vacuum and trash bag compartment would be fun!

      @@HiveMindAutomation that would be good. I'm thinking one that does cats 🐈 water bowl next 🤔

      @@MartinHiggs84I just saw PetKit have the EVERSWEET MAX, which is an automated water fountain which tracks cat drinking

    Why did you choose this and not the Yumshare? How’s it working so far? If you share your link for UK, I’ll use it to buy but I am torn between this and yumshare.

    • @HiveMindAutomation
      @HiveMindAutomation  หลายเดือนก่อน

      From what I can tell, the Yumshare doesn't weigh the food in the feeding bowl.
      The other thing was for the better ergonomics of the higher bowl and not having the cat have to crane her neck to eat.
      Yes.... she's spoiled.

    My dogs don’t eat all their food sometimes. Do you think I could program it to break up their meals into smaller portions and if there is still food present in the bowl, to not dispense the next portion?

      There's a setting in the app for the "Surplus" level and Surplus Control so you can set the upper limit of food that will sit in the bowl. If there's that much or more in the bowl, it won't dispense. You could theoretically set that value super low and turn on surplus control and then se the schedule to dispense a smaller amount throughout the day

    I have a question, can you test changing your wifi password and see if it connects again

    • @HiveMindAutomation
      @HiveMindAutomation  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't need to test it.
      If you haven't provided the new PSK for the Wi-Fi Network to the Feeder, no, it won't reconnect, you'd have to reset the device and re-pair to Wi-Fi with the new Wi-Fi password

    Cool video. Thanks. I have the Kogan one too. Very unreliable and camera doesn't work on IPv6. Nor in HA. I almost bought this one until realised it has no camera. I might check some other models.

      Yeah, we've been pretty happy with this ine and like the food weighing feature.
      The Camera ones don't seem to have the weighing feature and also don't seem to have the bowls mounted up higher for better ergonomics.
      Can't say I'll miss the camera at all.

    I've seen you use a mac in a few of your videos. Did you know Mac OS has a built in screen reader called voice over?

      Indeed I do know that macOS contains a built-in screen reader called VoiceOver.
