Julie!!! I’m soo excited for you!! Read my message I sent to you on Instagram when you can!! I say try NOT to spend any more $$!! You’ve done soo much already!!
Work with what you have, Don’t spend any more until your start making more!!
New infant room is beautiful! Don’t change the blue!!! Once you take out the colorful borders you can totally Baby it up!!!
Do Do DO PLEASE add “Daycare “out in front of your building and “preschool”
( which I’m pretty sure you already mentioned doing)
I’m praying and continue to pray 🙏🏻 for you- YOU GOT THIS!!!!
    You are AMAZING!!!❤️❤️❤️
Love from a provider friend in California 🌻Lorie 🥰

Your center is beautiful the way it is. I wouldn't change anything right now you have bigger fish to fry once you open. Focus on curriculum, enrollment, Staff Certification, Lesson Plan, Clock Hours, ect. Everything is gorgeous. Best wishes!!! Be Blessed!!!

Also, I teach 3s and love my full size sink. I use it to wash up all the messy at projects. I wouldn't cap off the one in the jungle room :)

I think the blue walls and gray elephants wallpaper will look very nice!

Wishing you the best of luck on your new beginning! Excited to watch your journey! It's so obvious how much you care about what you do and I think having you there daily will be the big difference in making this go around successful!
Unsolicited advice, but I would keep the teacher sink in the toddler 2 room! A teacher sink just comes in so handy!

I’ve got several 2 and 3 year olds who are not potty trained yet. I’d need that changing table for sure.

I think that room will make a great infant room! That color will work for infants, it’s a calming color.

I think you should do something similar to the preschool room coat hook area at 14:54 in the infant room. Maybe bigger cubbies so you could put totes in each one with a name tag so you can store changes of clothes, diapers, wipes, powder, formula, etc. That way it would be easier for the infant room teacher(s) to keep track of whose stuff is whose and be easier on the parents. Just a suggestion! I love how your center turned out!

I have to agree with the other commenters and suggest not to take down the elephant wallpaper and not to repaint any of the rooms. You can buy adhesive to reattach the piece coming loose. That paper matches the jungle theme, next door, perfectly. It will be just a continuation of the theme. The grey walls are neutral enough to carry over the jungle theme. The light blue in the new infant room is the perfect soothing and cheerful color for that age group.
Also, I'd leave all the sinks and changing tables, as is. Can you just raise the new infant room sink up to adult height? Will you need for licensing to come and do another approval of the changes?
The tallest wooden cubbies (now being stored beside the new infant room sink) seem to be the perfect tall divider for between the preschool room and the indoor gym. It seems they would make for a makeshift half wall, especially with a curtain to close off the upper half. They could be used to hang dress up clothes. The black shelf in between the metal filing cabinets (preschool room) could be used in place of wherever you were thinking of using those tall cubbies, as lower cubbies. 🤷‍♀️
We'd just hate for you to spend any more $, as I know you don't want to either. I'd wait to make anymore pricey adjustments, until after your enrollment gets stable. We know the struggles and are here to support you. Hopefully with several heads put together, you'll have additional options to consider. Good luck! We're rooting for you!

I still love that room for the infant room just because it's tucked so perfectly far away from all the other children and noise

The infant room being moved nearest the kitchen may work out better for bottle prep. I'd think with breast milk and formula prep for such a young age group, this is a wise choice, and like I said before the color is nice for this age group.

Leave the elephant paper imo. Calming is always good for toddlers too!

Are you concerned at all about the noise from the preschoolers being so near to the infants and/or noise from the kitchen being so near the infants? Good luck with your re-opening!

What I would do with the infant room is put the cribs in that little art nook
I could see 4 cribs in that space (two on each wall) with a path in the middle
That way they are out of the way leaving the rest of the space open for play and the area would be darker for naps as you mentioned the room is really bright

Let me say i have watched you get the new building ready for the last almost year. I have never seen anything like it. It is gorgeous. I would give anything for a center like yours. I have done Childcare for twenty years. I have done licensed in home all the way to the Director of a center for 135 children and 29 staff. Why are you changing three rooms?? They are perfect how they are. Did they not meet regulation for some reason in your state? I think your crazy to go through the work of changing your rooms. The redo will not be as good as the first in the back of your mind and I think you might regret it. Use the time to prepare your curriculum and daily schedules as those will need to change as you go during start up, until your full. Trying to plan last minute because of changes can thro a whole wrench in the days for you, staff, and kiddos. Next don't remove little sinks, you will regret that. I promise that once your rooms are established and your littles learn what the correct use of the sinks are for, they will not bother them to much. I would not cap off the sink in the jungle room either. Sinks are very valuable to have. Moving shelves and then buying more is a huge waste of money. Ratios in Nebraska are 1/4 for infants. A lot of places here only take4-8 infants and some take none. Especially if your an independent center. Babies are costly because of ratio so don't go crazy with 12-16 infants to get started. It will cost you. Good luck I will keep watching. I hope everything turns out the way you have hoped.

This is by no means a criticism as I absolutely love your Chanel and you. Your ideas are fantastic but ….but the daycare looks more of a play centre than a homely cosy inviting place for children. You have amazing toys etc I just think it needs that extra homely feel. Hope you understand what I’m trying to say . Love from Ireland 🇮🇪

@@learntoplay22 thank you for replying and I’m sure with your knowledge in childcare you will make a huge success . I would definitely send my child to you . If I was in in America 🤣 I run my own childcare business here in Ireland .

I agree. There should be a neutral theme throughout. Like Reggio style. Too busy and over stimulating

Plus I think it's torture for the toddlers to see the playground all day if they can't be out there all day because they're just going to be asking their teacher every 2 seconds to go outside

2-3 year olds are still in diapers, they’re typically potty training at that age so I would still have a changing table mat if I were you

Oh no she's changing all the rooms
I'm sure it'll look nice once it's done but it looks so perfect before please don't change it

Great ideas! For sure signing my 4 year old son up once you start enrolling. Do you have a rough idea as to when that’ll be? We’re currently at the preschool right next to you guys and although they’re sweet I just feel like the rooms are so cramped and they’re not much for the kids to do. Thank you!
