I hope you all had a wonderful fishing trip and are looking forward to doing it again. I grew up just a few miles from Devils Lake and still get up there for visits throughout the summer. But it's been years since I've done any fishing. It's fun to see folk enjoying the lake :)
Do not touch or hold the fish by the Operculum (2 daim ntxaij), They were so sharp and could cut your hand. Also, white bass had those sticky gels on their bodies if touch or hold them it will get itchy or sensitive (khaus kaus) your hand for a long time. The history of Devil's Lake flooding the last 50-60 years will give you a clue to what that whirlpool is. Devil's Lake is a lake where all directions of higher elevation. Both the federal state government build multiple canals to help keep the water level of Devil's Lake down using those water pump that you guys called whirlpool.

There's a huge sinkhole in there, at least you are not dumb enough to dare stepping one step in water it gonna suck you down. My first and last time back in 2002.
Limit is 20 at the moment. They already over the limit with 2 coolers. Hmong ppl don't care about limit. They fill the coolers cause they know ND dnr don't come out. They will cry when dnr actually comes out and fine for each fish over the limit lmao.

Isnt the limit in ND only 20? So 3 guys that is 60 fish. 2 cooler full of fish is more than 60 fish.

That is just a drain hole, when the water level is high the drain hole will spin. Not a dragon hole as most Hmong would like to think so.

I've heard a lot about Devil's Lake, I'll have to make it up there to ND for fishing and pheasant hunting one day.
