- In this short session I'm going to show you how I fish double method feeders. This is how I feeder fish. Why fish two feeders? ! because double the feeders, double the fish right ?! Hope you enjoy the video and pick up a few tips along the way.

😂 no mate you don’t want the yellow ones ! I want you to catch haha The yellow ones go in the bin… the pink ‘washed out’ Sonubaits ones in 6/8mm are where it’s at ! By far the best.
We have a very similar taste in kit and style of method fishing! Big fan of a minimal setup too. :)

Been taking cage feeders , wagglers , open ended feeders , pellet feeders and hybrid mini feeders ,always come back to flat bed method feeders !

Here in the US I almost always use method feeders on three rods either on a pod or more commonly on individual bank sticks.
Fishing for carp Brian ? I didn’t think carp fishing was popular in the US! Yes I sometimes use them with bite alarms and a rod pod also 👌🏻

Just great stuff im just catching up on all your uploads.I notice in this one you don't seem to use baitrunners, do you just set the drag really loose . Many thanks for doing what you do just getting back into my fishing after many years away everything changed. AAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH
If I’m feeder fishing with no baitrunners I just adjust the drag yes 😁 but baitrunners are my preference!

Have you thought about using a bait-runner type reel as a belt and braces approach? Those takes remind me of river seven barbel lol 👍🏽
cudmore is a amazing place to fish.. but if u get a chance try homefarm fishery.. its 2 junctions after cudmore.. big cats and carp.. choice of bivvy pegs or cabins mint place recommend 3 days plenty of bait.. tuna bollies 👍

I manage, but I’m confident in using too rods at once (keeping pressure on one and reeling in on the other) I don’t recommend it when there are snags around. Nice open lakes 👍🏻🎣
Fishing a similar setup to myself, want to ask what extention rest do you use ? It looks like it has a support leg.

The rod pod is an ngt one ☺️ it’s fairly steady. Definitely no sales crap in any of my videos ! Just straight talking pleasure angling 👌🏻
Hi. What feeder chair do you have / recommend. Are they a great buy for feeder fishing as very expensive. Any thoughts appreciated
Mines a Caperlan feeder chair, from decathlon. Really inexpensive as feeder chairs go. Very good quality also ! never had an issue with it and I abuse it 😂 fits all the normal chair /seat-box accessory’s. Most come with adapters anyway
I never like my rests set up on my matrix feeder chair.. I'm a fidgeter and I don't like slight knocks on the rods.. I prefer rods stable at the side on rests.. oh and the guru xsafe feeders are class.. just a loop in end of ya line and can attach any you want. Safe for fish too. Good vid 👍
I have made a screw out foot that fits to the bottom of the feeder arm ! Makes it a lot more stable 👌🏻 as I’m the same shaking does my head in haha and yes the guru feeders are great I agree 😊

I always use double methods! Question - why don't you use those method leaders with a bait spike? I never lose a wafter with those yes they can easily pop out of the rubber bands.
I have tried bait spikes, I do like them and you are right you lose less wafters but I feel the bait has slightly less freedom of movement. Unless you tie the spike on with a tiny loop which can be fiddly 😂
Fish next to weed.Should be well oxygenated more sun more oxygen the plant will produce .
Daylight plants produce more oxygen in the water so more weeds more oxygen unless there's other factors in the lake to cut level's.

No problem Stephen ! Mines a caperlan feeder chair , it was about £80 . So cheap as far as feeder chairs go. It is Very good quality as well and fits all the match accessories 👍🏻had if years 👌🏻

Think you explain things really well mate but why do you use two method feeders on a commercial why not just chuck one about what happens if you get two bite's at once
Good question Alan! Just allows me to cover more of the lake, In summer when the bites are often I guess it’s a little overkill and you could potentially get a double hookup. I would just keep the pressure on one fish land the other then play the next. However In winter it can really help you get more fish in the net and rare you would get two takes at the same time.

Learned one good thing, don't go fishing anywhere near you, you got there early, and you are fishing over two other pegs, somebody comes in later after you and wonders why some guy 2 pegs away is throwing his tackle at your feet, you end up making a nice bed of feed, which then becomes useless if another angler take the peg where you are casting to, if you wanted to fish in the corner why not take the corner peg.
Hi Taz, thanks for your comment. Usually I would agree with you . However the corner peg platform is actually broken and sunk in at that fishery. Makes it hard to fish from, it’s a very quiet water so not worried about losing the baited area. Obviously if someone moved into that peg I would have the Courtesy to change where I was fishing
