I really like the UCO series, I haven’t purchased any yet but it’s on my list to get eventually. I also don’t plan on heating anything with it, I mostly want it as a light source in case my USB powered flashlights or lanterns are out of power…
@@survivalns124 - plan on it, I have a list started on Amazon that I titled ‘Prepper List 1’. It basically has everything that I am thinking of getting from Amazon that will come in handy should a crisis every occur that I need to go into survival mode, I hope it almost never happens but with the way things are going these days…. I am also trying to move away from rely on batteries for everything, so anything I get now has to be either USB powered or solar power….
In an enclosed environment it would work very well. Just crack a window for ventilation. I now have two of them for winter camping, and it's toasty warm.
Great review...just ordered it for my local outdoor adventures here in the uk. We don't get anywhere near as cold as yourself. But it can be chilly...we can get down to -10 but that is an extreme for us. All the best. Cheers
@@survivalns124 hi - received my lantern and could not be more happy with it. Now looking at the best method to make some candles for it as they are too expensive. Uk cheapest on amazon £6.99 for 3 regular white ones. It will be fun I think to try making my own. Cheers
@@TurnFullCircle Great idea Chris. As with many items today with the state of world economies, many of us are resorting to making better choices, and spending time searching the internet for the best prices. Myself, I will be making a video shortly on how to make your own fire starters at a fraction of the cost of commercial ones out there. Have a great day and let me know how you make out with your candles.
According to the company, their candles are specific to their product and last 9 hours. In my experiment they lasted 6 hours. Still not to bad for a little warmth.
Thank you. highly informative, some good cooking ideas that dont take up too much space, I love the candelier
Thanks for your comment. I now have two candeliers when I go winter camping. What a difference that makes.

Carry a USB solar power bank with you for your flashlights.

What would you think about using that Candlelier in a stranded vehicle for warmth?

It's not for everyone. You've got to enjoy the winter outdoors.

@@mmqqq8246 Yes. I now have of these lanterns while winter camping and it makes a considerable difference.
