Curiosity is great! While ChatGPT can generate Mermaid code, Mermaid Chart enhances the experience significantly with a friendly interface that simplifies chart creation, eliminating the need to handle complex code manually. We provide advanced features and customizations like interactive elements. Mermaid Chart also adds storage of diagrams and teamwork features such as real-time collaboration and support for comments in the diagrams.
Sorry to hear that. My thought from the start was to make the text representation of the diagrams simple and readable. I still think they are, especially when you get into it. 😅
@@knutsveidqvist idk man. I’m a software developer with 15+ years of experience and many programming languages. This thing reminds me of a weird mix of Asm and Bash, like it was made to confuse people 😂 but maybe it’s just me
I'm thinking that this is a nice tool for an agent that, statically or dynamically at runtime, plans steps and flows for other agents, or its future self, to follow - and for those to follow this seems very close to being able to do the plumbing
@jason_v12345 um, yes and totally and isn't that cool and very very useful? human(s) and AI(s) may visualise it differently but both can work from/to, follow and update exactly the same algorithm - it's concise, it's easily understandable, it's unambiguous (and where it isn't some of those things it's easy to update, correct, add granularity and iterate) and really should be predictable. What's even better, it should also be very rollbackable - undoing and redoing changes can be a pretty complicated beast even in just a text editor, depending on what you want to be able to do)

Mermaid charts aren't that new. And I can use ChatGPT to write the code for them. How is this better than that? Genuinely curious.

I personally find their chart language extremely confusing to work with, especially when it comes to conditions

Basically the same as what the human counterpart uses it for
