Really good information! You have a great way of thinking outside the box from older traditional approaches. Can listen to you all day long!! Thanks for this wonderful video.
Could Hans describe the rigging: what type of knot does he use for the tippet section he ties in above the egg? (clinch knot to the tippet? or does he end the extra tipped section in a small loop and then use that to go around the standing line?
I use a doubly Davy 90% of the time as my knot from tippet to fly because I fish a lot of small flies and like how small the Davy knot is. However, the Davy will tend to slide if tied to the tippet above your anchor fly (egg). For that reason, I prefer the clinch knot because as the name suggests, it grasps that tippet above your anchor fly very tightly and is significantly less likely to slide.

Guy's, I have an idea. It's cold out, lets grab a table and go stand in the river and talk about eggs! YES!!

@ heck yeah! Love it!!
Great video. Thanks!
Hey Hans great content! Do you use a mono rig for your tightline setup or regular euro line?
I use a euro line if I’m using a micro leader (4X in diameter). Any leader 10lb or more I’m typically using a mono rig.
