Hey Brady: you were supposed to run those 30 amp wires DOWNHILL. The electricity has a harder time going all the way up. The lift won't go up as fast.
I used to miss the " 3 stooges episodes, but you guys have filled that gap !!!!
I think many subscribers would like to see a second video per week, like on wednesday/thursday. You could do a build series on brady's jeep over the next several months. Brady could film "the work" one task at a time portion, with Caleb and Alex doing the filler portions of the video. Who wouldn't want to see Brady's over-thought jeep finally get finished?
That truck is the DEAN. It would be awesome if it had 4 wheel steering. This is by far my favorite channel. Just wish there were more videos.

Nice lift, I installed a 60 amp panel on the side of my lift with a 240 volt 30 amp receptacle for my welders and also 2 circuits for 120 volt receptacles. Ran black pipe down for air on the opposite side. Just wanted to throw that out there. MA. Smitty Electric contractor. Keep up the great work Dean Brothers. HAHA

The sense of humor you guys share is awesome. I never had any brothers, but you guys remind me of my three adult nephews, who are all real quick on the good-natured put-downs. I literally laugh out loud every time I watch one of yall's videos. And you guys build some badass rigs in between all the shenanigans.

I’m a self thought welder I don’t judge, my first welder I bought was a Lincoln 235v tombstone buzz box.

The flex on the wrecker makes your jeeps look like the mini jeep 😂😂. Next problem is making the suspension have that much movement available. Great work guys.

Funnily enough i had a HS English teacher that was a hotrodder in his spare time so he actually did give me a bit of welding advice. Even went and helped him wrench a few times during HS

You can weld up. That would be the proper way to weld frame. We built some dump trucks out old pop trucks. Cut the drop out of the frame and weld it back together and they made me learn to weld up hill. Probably 45 years ago. You guys just keep learning and you will be fine

I've welded on plenty of high-pressure boiler and pipe jobs that were 100% x-ray. It's not the "proper procedure" to weld downhill, but welders do it all the time.

I am sure somebody else already said it to you but that’s a 50 amp but it’s all good. I really enjoy watching you guys. You seem really grateful for things where no names mentioned they get a free lift or something like that and they’re like oh great like no big deal, you guys seem very sincere and down to earth, I’m a disabled veteran and the bullet pierced my back and came out my chest and then I ended up having a stroke and I miss welding so much. I wish I could find somebody that would have the patience to possibly try to re-teach me to weld with my nerve issues, I’ve tried some people but after a while you get tired of people saying no but I really enjoy watching your videos. It brings back memories of some of the stupid shit I used to do.
Your shop is amazing, your jeeps and the mini wrecker are fabrication works of art, the Ben pack lift is the "Dean", and the Tig welds looked about as good as it gets. But of course you guys have no clue what you are doing, you all have faces that only a mother could love and your Dad, well he just feels sorry for you all! 🤣 So, does Alex have the perfect "Three Musketeers" mustache and goatee or am I the only one who sees that? No way it really took you guys 4 days ! And the welding thing . Half of my friends went to Hobart welding school, and they welded upside down backwards, uphill downhill you name it. It all depends on the situation and what you’re doing. If it’s not from the military or NASA, it just has to work and get done.

Building a 06SD60 myself, and yes, it's a full afternoon with band saw, sawzall and cut off wheels to clean off the oem stuff. Biggest difference with mine is I built my own plasma table. Also, everyone else can weld better. Cheers!

Like you said the mountains are covered with guys who built their 3&4 links with a measuring tape and all seem to work fine. I also see a red Jeep in the background I don’t recognize?

Nothing wrong with downhill welds with MIG using gas. Welds that have slag, like stick and flux core do not work great with downhill passes.
BTW, those link welds look great as far as they go, but they need another pass or two. Fill up the whole void.

If you aren’t running a massive cup on the tig welder turn the gas flow down a little. Them bottles ain’t cheap. Personal experience and some research says 20cfm with a #8 cup works great.
Not to be the keyboard welder or anything, but builders gotta budget.

I had a 90's lunchbox RC truck. The spring on the front suspension, has a steel rod through the middle, bolted to the bottom.
In jumps, it guides the spring back to footing.
You'd need a 33% longer spring. 👍
