I know you guys aren’t worried about the hamburger welds, but you can run a tig over the welds to smooth them out without compromising them if you wanted to church them up at all

Hey guys love your channel Happy Father's Day. Just a little advice on something that I do whenever I do a front spool always put your u-joints in time just like you would your drive shaft. I've never broken an axle. Keep up the great work

Just a heads up guys, that spool in the front diff will make it essentially impossible to turn, especially at lower speeds. You may want to swap to an actual locker that you can unlock in most situations. 👍

I have a whole set of regrading tools with clam shell puller. Next time Alex runs into me on an off ramp, he can ask me to borrow them 😂
For future reference, anything that you preheat, must be slow cooled. An HFT welders blanket can suffice for wrapping and slow cooling post welding.

Brothers..invest in a Hobofreight clamshell bearing puller..it’s pretty cheap and works great. I just got done doing a SD60 and Sterling and I had the bearings on&off a bunch and it made it easy. Those high steer arms look awesome..ain’t going nowhere.

That was a real review for ag1 .. that stuff doesn't taste the best .. but I'll try the orange juice..been sitting in my kitchen for months cuz of taste
I knew it! The look on the face tells all. Buy a capsule making machine and make your own capsules then you don't have to taste it. If you put a wood clothes pin on your nose, you can't taste anything. The capsule connection in Arizona is where I bought my supplies. Be sure and get the vegan capsules. As large as you want to make them.

At our shop, the old timers used to put the parts like that steering knuckle as soon as you were done welding it into a metal box and then fill the box with kitty litter, it would greatly slow down the cooling process.
Love the build and the Ford vs Dodge. I will say though my Second Gen. Cummins has never grenaded an entire fuel system and cost 10K plus to fix, andddddddd require a kit to keep it from happening again....... Just sayin........ Also Yukon clamshell bearing puller if you guys plan on doing more diffs.
I’ve got my jeep regeared 3 times now and every single time it was same day. Drop it off when they open, pick up an hour or two before close. Haven’t had any issues with any of them. Honestly if a shop has your vehicle for a week just for gears something is wrong in my opinion.

Use a torch first heat the knuckle up then weld to it with heat on and slowly turn heat down
Im going to start drinking AG1 because it will make me like all the other TH-camrs.
Cooling blanket is the trick.
This mini truck looks so freaking cool. All that hard work in the end we'll be so worth it. Definitely a tow truck that everyone wants one now.. Wyatt play stupid games Win stupid prizes
Another way to prevent the welds from cracking is build a small furnace type setup out of fire brick and heat it all up weld your parts together then put everything back in the furnace you built let cool down heating it up a little and cool in cycles.
Next time, instead of cranberry juice, try cran-grape juice with your AG1 that's what I use

You need to heat the knuckle in the oven to like 300 then weld it and put back in and let the oven cook down with it in there

Really it's not rocket science to re-gear an axle. As long as you got the right tools and need to be very patient. If you do a lot of rock climbing you can save hell of a lot of money doing it yourself. FYI it's a Dana 60 not a Ford. Pretty much the same as a Dana 60 they put in the Dodges. Worked at the Fort Wayne Dana Plant for years. Good Video.
You need to mix the OJ and Cranberry, maybe half and half. That's the move.

But I’m able to see channels grow and what tubers have done with thumbnails, video descriptions etc. and I’m sure u guys are busy in life, I get it,but you’ve gotta start doing a couple vids a week and a little longer. A channel like Robby Layton who produces three vids a week but not the greatest content. Gets his vids thrown in algorithms a ton more. It also keeps the audience involved thinking about this Chan mid week instead of, O it’s Sunday here’s a new vid. The TH-cam content creation company I work for always tells us that there’s two types of creators. Your one vid a week Creators that might blow up. Or your multi vid a week creators that will grow slow grow. I would
Just try a couple vids a week for a month and see how much u grow. If it works U can always back down to 1 at a later date. Also PS I know u know this already but collaborations are also where it’s at!!!! Love the Chan would

I am not an expert, but having a full-time locker in the front differential will make your turning radius go bye-bye. Whatever you do, don't try to turn on pavement.
Isn't that similar to full time 4 wheel drive vehicles? Who in their right or left mind would order a full time 4 x 4?
Full-time 4x4 still slips pn turns. The differential the Peck Bros. are putting in doesn't slip that means the tires will have to when turning. Don't forget when a vehicle turns the inside wheel turns slower than outside.
@@swf1004 Yes my 1 ton Ford 4 x 4 does that and it wants to hop. I hate it so I try not to engage the transfer case on dry pavement. Dirt, ice, snow, but not hard surfaces. Thanks for the explanation.
You need locking hubs to run a spool up front. Most of these trucks have locking hubs from factory. Full time 4x4 needs a differential in the middle of the axles to work properly as full time awd.

Enjoy your hype and excitement, but being a Ford mechanic rebuilding rear differentials and front differentials all the time I think the first one took me eight hours I was 21 at ford I can do 2 to 3 hours If I have to remove bearings more than once to replace shimming.set your backlash & end play and look at your teeth pattern it’s alot easier than you think having the right tools help no more than you guys will need them go to harbor freight and buy the pullers and a cheap press watch some videos and try it
