I'm so glad you've covered this case. I'm a huge fan of yours and I had the absolute privilege of meeting Emma several times when she was head of Croydon High School. Personally touched to see you speak about her. Something you may not know, Emma was a huge advocate of making private education accessible to all. She forged a relationship with a foundation that gave children from less affluent families the opportunity to recieve free, private tuition to prepare them for secondary school exams. My daughter was chosen for the programme and she's now absolutely thriving at the school, with a bursary and an opportunity I could never have provided on my own. Emma was a huge part of that and she was truly one of the kindest, most amazing human beings I have ever met.
Perhaps but this is hardly the time or place for that argument right now is it. This is about a Mother and her young daughter having their lives stolen. I don’t think there’s any privilege you could have offered their family to make them agree to that!
@@ThePinsayshe wouldn't have had the power to change education for all but she was obviously trying to do her best to give as many as possible the opportunity and would have accomplished a lot more if she didn't have the opportunity taken away from her
I'm a teacher and reading that your daughter was provided with this life changing opportunity is so lovely and is a testament to part of the legacy Emma will leave behind. 🤍
Oh Em, the way you read that wonderful poem at the end of your presentation has me in tears. What a beautiful tribute you have made to Emma and Lettie in telling their story. You are a very special person and your subscribers love you for it. Thank you xxx
Those of us who've loved & lost felt every word of that beautiful poem.. one of the most touching things I've ever heard. RIP in each others arms little Lettie & Emma.
I'm glad that you cover these type of cases! Back in 2020 one of business partner annihilated his soon to be ex-wife, her boyfriend and their one-year-old daughter chased his 8 year old down the road in the middle of nowhere, she survived it, she's only one out of all of them, he took his life when he couldn't catch her. It hurts me how senseless it all was! It's nice to hear somebody from your profession explain the psychological part of such tragedies.
Do you know how the daughter is coping? It will haunt her forever, and PTSD is a horrible thing. I can't imagine the trauma of what you described play out and having your father try to kill you too and then take his life when he failed to do so. I hope that she has a good family to take care of her, and she manages to navigate these upcoming teenage years, which can be rough even without the trauma the child you are describing endured. I have been busy, and I have only just got an opportunity to listen to this, but I always read the comments, and yours stuck out! Family annihilation is SUCH a tragedy every single time!"
@@michellesartori6695 Thank you for caring about the situation that she went through! That is actually how I got into true crime so I could try to understand why someone would do this. The individual that did this actually cut off everyone's heads and that poor girl had to see all of it happen. I know that she had seven other siblings that were not living in the household from a previous relationship from their mother. So, she has a good family basis to go forward with. The hardest part is knowing that the "father's" family rationalizes for that individual aka the "father" who did this's behavior. I really wish this story would be told because she is a survivor and I feel like her story has not been told. This includes her mother, her baby, and her boyfriend and the detrimental effects of his long term use of party drugs "aka acid, mushrooms, and MDMA" and how it can affect the mind to the point of causing said issue. As someone who has CPTSD and has gone through a lot of childhood trauma, I can't even begin to understand how much that little girl has gone through and what she deals with every single day. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her and hope that she has the strength and resilience to move forward in life in the most positive way possible.
Oh my gosh, thank you for covering this. Heartbreaking! I live a few miles away and have to drive past the school and the head’s house on my way to appointments at Epsom Hospital. I am still horrified by it- so close to home! RIP sweet little Lettie and Emma 🙏🏼🙏🏼😭💔
I met your husband on Saturday at one of your shows when buying a hoodie (super comfortable) he’s very nice! I think he was surprised I noticed him! Loved the show! Waited for 7 months! Was not disappointed!
Emma I just have to say how much I enjoyed your book. I listened to it via audible and you did such a fantastic job with how you spoke and what was written. Can’t wait for the second one!
You have such a beautiful way of connecting us, the listeners/watchers, to these families and telling their story in a way that brings such honor to the victims and their loved ones. Thank you. The ending of this one had me literally bawling.
Good evening Emma thanks for the consistent hard work, feels wrong to say I look forward to your content because of the type of cases you talk about but I do appreciate you x
That poem has me sobbing. I don't know how you got through reading that. Heartbreakingly beautiful. I'll be squeezing my loved ones that little bit tighter tonight ❤️
Saw you at your Welwyn Garden show. Amazing!!! I was the one that pointed out the toothpick on your boot. Bought a copy of your book. Your husband is so lovely. Hope you are feeling a bit better. Will be booking your show for next May ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m in tears. What a beautiful poem. Excellent work on the video , Emma. My sympathy to the family, friends and students. Rest in peace precious Lettie and amazing Emma ❤️🕊️🕊️
I'm not crying... This poem is absolutely beautiful. Emma, the way you read it, I felt all of the emotions 😭 I could listen to you speak all day every day❣️ Thank you!
So sad 😢 Absolutely love the effort and depth you went into on the domestic abuse topic, though. Explained in such a way that those who are going through abuse, whom perhaps dont even realise that that's what it is, can understand it.
Why don’t these men just get a divorce and leave, these story’s really affect me, I just can’t understand why you’d choose to kill your own flesh and your wife over just leaving!
An amazing exploration of the truly sad story and a compassionate and moving delivery of the poem at the end. It's a hideous story, but this is why we watch.......an empathetic and soulful tribute to those who have been taken and dare I say it where 'lessons will be learned'. Seems not at these cases keep coming but the coverage is deep-dive, without sensationalism or unnecessary drama. Sad, but informative and sensitive as ever. Thank-you.
Thanks so much Emma. You did another wonderful job representing the lives of these two, wonderful people, her sister, friends and family. The poem was amazing! You recited it so heartfelt like many others here who spoke of the tears we now shed for our own lost loved ones... 😢😢 😢
OMG I'm from this area and had not heard about this case... Wow recently there's been quite some happenings in Surrey 😢 very pleased you covered a UK story thank you Emma
Thank you for your videos, Emma. I remember this case, and I was horrified by it. I find domestic abuse cases such as this so upsetting. I know you will handle it with sensitivity, as always x
For once, im here minutes after posting. Although i have subscribed. Emma, you are such a great storyteller, and it still marvels me that this channel isn't getting the views it rightly deserves. Ps : You are the only TH-camr i follow on Instagram, and that's thanks to your gorgeous daughter
I agree! I recommend Emma to everyone I possibly can (even on other channels) been watching her for years (on crime documentaries) and am so happy she has a channel. The best 100%
What a beautiful poem and what beautiful souls Emma and Elette are. I'm sure they're both in a better place now, and far away from the evil excuse for a human who murdered them.
I havent been able to watch for awhile as life has been too hectic. Nice to have some time to enjoy your videos again ❤ Such a beautiful woman and gorgeous little girl 😢
What a beautiful tribute at the end. Wow! Sometimes I listen to true crime back to back through my working week and sadly forget the gorgeous soles left behind after someone takes their life but this had me in tears. Such a very tragic case & loss to the world ❤
I was watching a documentary and you popped up in it. I can't remember which one but you were being interviewed. I screamed at my husband 😂look it's Emmaaaa!!! 😂😂😂
This part about abuse and trying to tell a loved one that is what they are going through made me cry. My 26 yr old son has finally broken out of an abusive relationship, she has done such a good job at gaslighting him, and 2 months on, he still doesn't trust his own thoughts. 🥹 As his mum this just kills me.
Listening to you telling that poem Emma was beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes. Paterson didn't want Emma to do well he just thought if I can't have you nobody will. And Poor Ettie would have to have witnessed her mother being killed before she was shot herself. What are controlling bastard hey! He shot himself so he didn't have to live with the consequences of what he had done. His wife and daughter will be angels in heaven but he will rot in hell xx he will be burning in hell. So sad xx
Emma is there any chance you will cover the case of the women in the UK that unalived her parents then lived in the house with them for years, the way she was so calm and telling the police where they would find her parents as if she was telling someone where her lost watch is was crazy
I'm good falling like always and also have the additional symptom of not being able to feel my hands properly. There are people worse off and hearing cases like this really hammers it home how fortunate i am. The poem was beautiful. Thanks for sharing that xx
This is another awful case, Emma and that beautiful little girl deserved so much better than that murderer in their lives - how can one half of couple feel jealous of their success they should be so proud of them! Thanks for another in depth case as sad as it is. Only just managed to finish your book today, brilliant and I had never heard of two of the women serial killers. X
Nearly lost the plot, thought we weren't going to see you this evening 😢, are you going to cover the murder of little Sara, the trial is all over the news right now ❤❤❤❤❤
Thx Emma. And Thx for making clear that the incident where the police was called was part of controlling her. Successful women are often seen negatively to feed the narrative that only men are capable to deal with pressure and are brilliant, kind and loving.
This case is so tragic and senseless; I just don't understand how a man could even contemplate shooting his beautiful wife and daughter in the places he did with a shotgun. The poem at the end was very poignant and read beautifully Em. Are you considering covering the Virginia McCullough case? The circumstances around it seem very strange
My dad was killed with a shot gun. My brother (11) and I (7) found his body. Listening to Emma explain how it really does destroy a body brought back some bad memories. Very little people understand what a shot gun does to a person. It's horrible

Hardly the time of place @@ThePinsay this woman could not change the education system and she was brutally murdered alongside her daughter.
