Hi, just got back from the Bay Islands last week, went to Roatan, Guanaja, and Utila---they were all great but really liked Utila. Hoping to return for good this year.
@JillyBohac How are things going with your land? do you still have it? Did you develop it, and do youhave it. If so how do you like it? Really Really on the edge of buying something and living there at least part time then covid happened. Would like to hear your personal experience. jac
We left feb 2020 to go build in Utila BUT then we ended up having to stay there for 7 months - we “sheltered in place “ but we had to return back to Canada ASAP to deal with our acreage and animals - we were not able to start our build as no supplies could get through and some weren’t available and as of now it’s unclear when we can get back . We still have 3 acres oceanfront that wasn’t to badly damaged after the storm ⛈ as soon as things settle , we’re headed back ‘home’ .... PS the ppl of Utila were fantastic during our lockdown there ❤️
@@jillybohac3627 yikes COVID through a lot of plans astray. I visited Utila back in '95. Doesn't look like it has changed much. I was thinking of moving there but didn't have the money back then :-)
@@reedriter still the same vibe ! I hope you return - we want to go back to our place but if we do we know we’ll never be allowed back into Canada - we won’t get that jab . There’s less bike now more golf carts and moto ‘a !!

That’s awesome ! utila is amazing ! we’re heading back too - we start construction in December! Maybe we’ll see you there one day !
We went December 2020. Rented golf carts and explored the island. Not a lot of tourists
