Honestly you are one of the most talented guitar players I've seen. So many different styles. An obvious jazz background with all the bebop licks but your slap technique is flawless. Bravo, My Man!
i bought the purple one maybe 5 years ago, pretty much the only thing on my board that hasnt moved despite all of the different bands lol. never realized these are so sought after now. lowest one i could find on reverb is like 400 bucks. Seems they went out of business? seemed like a natural progression for me since i had a qtron+ but it was just way too bulky, especiialy if only being used a couple times per gig. thanks for the demo ! -11years ago
Great playing and great video. I'm trying to emulate that elusive jerry garcia envelope sound. I love the low pass setting with this pedal, but i'm curious as if it's capable of producing that ''dancin in the streets'' sound that jerry got with his mutron?
When playing the Goldtop are you also using a over drive or distortion, or is that all coming from the Proton? That sounds closest to some of Garcia's breaking up sounds of his Mu-Tron. I have been using a Boss T-Wah for more years than I like to admit and I am looking to up grade. This baby sounds NICE on this demo!
Proton -> Dirt is only way to go. The response on this thing is crazy weird. I actually put it up front in my chain right after a octron and it works waaaayyyy better there. All my stuff is true bypass too so it wasn't a buffer effecting it.

this demo has me thinking of running my mutron AFTER the reverb and delay. i just can't get with that "quack trail" of the reverb at the end of the signal path :/

This pedal seems to be very responsive to even slight changes of the knobs, based on what I am seeing here. NICE! Loads of sounds!

have both, and the snow white auto wha is much closer to jerrys mutron tones

What does the range switch do? I just bought the new model but it is missing the range switch. Is it somehow embedded in the new one?
