    It's about time we have some modern boxing training equipment. Boxing training equipment is so underdeveloped I think. A bit of creativity like this is needed.

    OK, I see the value of this piece of equipment to learn head movement but what is to stop it from breaking your jaw if you get tired, or your timing is just off and you don't duck in time???

      It’s not for smashing and is padded so it shouldn’t break you jaw

    OK, interesting piece of equipment but what if your timing is off when you get tired and don't duck in time? It looks like this bar could do a lot of damage and easily break a person's jaw.

    The guy that did the Superman punch. What, does he expect to fight people taller than him or what? Whatever he was doing was completely useless. And standing a good distance from the bar isn’t going to help him more or less for his reaction times. 👎

  • @Aerational

    Look how often these people are dropping the hand they know the bar isn't swiveling to. That is a bad tendency that this thing can't exploit but a real fighter can with a feint.

    I watched this video very carefully and I am afraid to say that out of all the individuals working out I only saw the little black kid using proper form in his punches. From what I observed this equipment has the tendency to teach bad form in punching. Everyone is throwing arm punches with no extension of the punches (short arming) and absolutely no hip movement---even if you are not trying to throw power. Basically you are drilling on how not to throw ANY KIND of punch. I know people in this video are practicing reflex but the way they are going about it they just are simply engaged in cardio exercise with absolutely no relationship to boxing. That is okay, but I hope these drills do not give the folks a false sense of confidence that they could defend themselves with what they are doing because if that is the case they will get themselves killed on the street in a real fight. I am afraid this equipment is prone to having folks drill down on absolutely poor technique. I implore you to examine the video closely and ask yourself if folks are doing ANY OF THE PUNCHES correctly or effectively. I wanted to purchase this equipment so badly but do not want to fall into the trap of drilling poor punching technique by short arming and throwing arm punches with no hip rotation---all in the name of practicing reflexes (ducking and blocking)

    I'm telling you... a bunch of kids are using this thing too much and it has them looking/ feeling like experts and they are gonna get lit up in a real fight. This thing is too predictable, the more you practice on one the less you have to pay attention to what you're doing. I feel that drilling this thing too much isn't good if you are planning on fighting someone that isn't going to punch exactly when you expect them to.

    • @antoniocaradine7589
      @antoniocaradine7589 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well ask a lot of pro fighters why they use it a lot

    • @johhfrank8120
      @johhfrank8120 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      your wrong: i as a boxer will tell you; you should move your head after you attack; no matter if the opponent is going to throw back or not; YOU SHOULD ALWAYS ANNTICIPATE Your opponent throwing back after you attack them. this peace of equipment creates great habits of keep your hand up at all times; moving head after every attack or combo. that what boxing is the art of hitting and not getting hit

    • @Aerational
      @Aerational 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johhfrank8120 Fair enough but this thing doesn't move forward when it throws. It also never throws a straight. I just feel the predictability of it is gonna have some young boxers overconfident in their first fights and easier to hit than they think they'll be.

    • @johhfrank8120
      @johhfrank8120 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Aerational your right it does no throw straight; is a limitation
      but you can still treat the bar as if it were a straight punch by slipping right and left under the bar instead of just ducking. but combine this equipment with mit work and a fast relax bag that mimics stright punches and your ready to take your sparring to a new level

    • @johhfrank8120
      @johhfrank8120 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Aerational have you actually tried to hit a spar bar yourself? it not as easy as it looks. its predictable and you still will hit yourself in the head if you lose focus. this peace of of equipment helps your focus also. believe me any peace of equipment teaching you to keep your hands up all times and move your head will automatically make you 98% less hittable. this does not replace old boxing training but this is a great assets to make yourself better faster
