Having a degree in marine biology you are landing fish the wrong way all fish big all small should be landed in a landing net. If you lift the fish out of the water on the line you will damage the fishes internal organs so if you release the fish they will die not very happy about seeing this. Regards Laurie from down under.
Thanks for your input, will definitely research that. Many of the spots we fish are not scoop net friendly, the sea is very rough and the spots are elevated. We will do our best though..
