If you follow the directions and hand launch it in an open field, ( and not too much wind
I started off years ago with a underpowered warbird wich tipstalled and crashed. Haven't touched fixed wings since and now with the new (250gramms) regulations this will be a perfect option for me. For 60 bucks i will be flying this summer. :))
It's nice to see some planes. I think all multirotor pilots should try, at least once, a plane and a control pitch single rotor helicopter. Keep the hobby going.....
I like anything that flies 👍
Such a nice video.
I love my A800 and with 6 batteries I feel I can fly all day if I get some good lift.
Sure can!
Holy Chemtrails Batman! Just got mine in from China and I absolutely love it. It's my first RC plane as I usually fly quads.
this would be a great slope glider as well, just remove motor and esc. nice flight
GREAT FLYING AND GREAT VIDEO JUST A LITTLE LONG! DOES LOOK LIKE A GREAT LITTLE GLIDER THOUGH! THANKS FOR SHARING ALBERT!
“I missed it by that much.” Nice vtd!
I guess it’s ok to use stability when deemed appropriate. 8)
To bind it with the jumper T8SG it is the; KN protocol 😉Ps it's in the standard list of the Jumper and no need for updates. Channel 8 is to use 3D ore 6G mode , i did 3D/acro und switch A2 on my jumper T8SG .A0 and A1 is 6G mode .I only fly in high rate, so no switch needed for that because the jumper T8SG is a smooth controller.
DUDE!!!! hey I should have looked this up first I ordered the XK X450 that just looks like a blast, I have ordered 2 of these so my son and I got a little time with one another. My daughter wanted the SMax by remo a lot of Christmas out of my way already ehhehehehehe
Oh, FYI a tip stall will happen if plane is not balanced and or you do not have enough air speed during a tight turn like you did there.
Yeah, I figured I was going too slow.
I know the F949 and F959 use the Flysky protocol, since I bound them with my FS-I6 and Jumper T8SG, so you could try that. The flight controller goes into auto-bind mode when you power it up so you have to bind the transmitter each time though. Also on the Jumper I had to adjust the fine tuning option and get that centered. I put the transmitter on lowest power setting and find the negative and positive numbers where it loses connection, then take the difference and divide by two, then set to below or above the zero point depending which had the higher magnitude. -- I just looked at the description of this plane and it looks like Futaba S-FHSS might be the protocol.
I found the correct protocol. I bound it to my Jumper T12 and it remembers the bind on the next power cycle. It's not the Flysky protocol. I already tried that. I will be posting a video on what I did so I don't have to repeat typing this over and over...
@@AlbertKimTV Cool.
Hello Albert, many thanks for your excellent video of this little glider. I got one some time ago but insisted in storming into the ground after hand launch. From your video I can see that it does fly extremely well (thanks for that). I will dig it out and try again soon now.
Cheers and thanks. Norcimguy.
You are very welcome
I'll take your word for it.
Cloud cover shots are great!
Buhby.
Its cheap! Im going to get a multiproticol module for my taranis....and try that....if not i will just put a receiver in it.
My son and i can have a blast with this thing.
You guys jump on patreon and support Albert if you can. He gives us a lot of info.
It will work with the Multiprotocol module. I got it to work with my Jumper T12 and will post a how-to video later... Now that I can add expo to the elevator, this will be super controllable... Might have to set this up for FPV as well ... I love this glider!
I thought you did....im beginning to be able to read your voice well enough to say yep....that one is fun
Yes, this is one the most relaxing planes I've ever flown, very predictable and super long flight times!
@@AlbertKimTV theres a vid of a guy doing a 24 hour flight with one of these.. stock :)
@@gordonshumway4427 it's fake :( the 24 hour video
Hey, Albert, can you fly headless mode? If no, try not loosing it like you almost did in this video. 😐
Anyway, great flying! Looks to be a lot of fun! 😃
Cool👍
It's a glider so it only needs enough power to get up to a height...... glide down...... and repeat ;)
Nice plane + nice flying = good review. 👍
_Should be FUTABA S-FHSS. protocol with that tx but I'm not sure_
It's not Futaba, but I figured out how to bind to my T12.
Interesting. Not unknown for XK but not common
Hey I know that spot, Irvine. 😁
Please give me link on begger battery.
Good!!!!
Nice review of a nice little model Albert. But I'm interested to know which radio protocol it uses if it doesn't use Futaba as stated in the info listing?
video to come out in a couple days
@@AlbertKimTV My money's on WLT. Looking forward to the video before I decide as they only appear to be Mode 2 and I'm a Mode 1 (tank driver!) I can get by on M2 but if I have a choice...
Good night, let's fly this Sunday? Excellent video, let's move on to the next challenge, thanks for sharing with us ... Best regards ... What's new on my channel? I posted a new video flying my MX2 doing some aerobatic maneuvers and another with Mavic Air and Anafi flying together, which one is the best? ... you are always welcome !!!
do you use the left rudder stick while piloting?
Yes, coordinated turns are required for best flight characteristics.
Hi there, Albert: Thanks for the review. Which is a better plane between this and the UMX Radian? The a800 would have a bit better power and handle wind a LITTLE BIT better than the UMX Radian, right? The only issue is the radio for this looks pretty bad and has short range. And I have a decent Spektrum Radio that I could use with a UMX Radian (a DX6E). Not really interested in getting another radio unless I can find a good one for like $30.
Obviously you'll be limited by your radio choice.
Can you bind it to a Devo, Jumper, or some other Tx with a multi-protocol module in it?
I figured out how to bind to my Jumper T12. I will make video later about that.
@@AlbertKimTV Excellent. That's all I need to know...that it's possible to bind to a typical multi-protocol module. I'm sure it will bind to my Devo 10 with 4-in-1 module and Deviation firmware. So I don't need the vid, just needed that confirmation that it works. Bundled transmitters are great for the newbie, but I never want to fly with them again if I can possibly avoid it!
How does this compare to the XK A600 or A430?
if you don't have a link to buy the battery, what are its specifications for me to look for on some website!?
I'm from Brazil buy on Aliexpress and shopee
This battery is what you want... bit.ly/3E1CJph
@@AlbertKimTV I wanted to know about the battery you are using in the video
do you have the link where you bought it? what are its specifications if you don't have the buy link
Hello Albert excellent video, i have a question i have only flown drones, but i want to start with hobby of planes too, the planes are more difficult to fly? As you have to keep moving the elevator so it wont be going down or climbing to high? And the rudder its to turn faster than the ailerons of the wings, because the ailerons of the wings are to turn too right? So it is difficult to fly a plane
Planes are more difficult than drones. I'm not how to explain the differences. How can one explain the difference between riding a bicycle and driving a truck? It's really different.
So I just got one how do you know when it’s in 6g mode can someone please help me
I wonder if it is compatible with the XK X6 tx? Should bind, but can’t assign the tx switches...that I know of.
I think the X6 tx is Futaba based but this receiver is not Futaba.
I can not see the plane !
are there any gyro stabilized planes like this that are PNP or bind and fly?
FYI, I figured out how to bind this to my Jumper T12!!! I'll have a how to video later.
any idea of run times with the standard batteru compared to your 450mah upgrade?
I think I may have mentioned it in the video. I don't remember off hand. It was a fair amount of time though. I have not flown this in a long time. Maybe it's time to dust this one off!
Can u fly it slow in the air?
it wasn't slow enough in the video?
how fast it?
1000 m/h
Is this better then the Omphobby T750??
IMO yes
@@AlbertKimTV Thanks for the reply, and you are the only one that said the T750 is tail heavy, thank for the honest review. I put 14gr of lead in the nose to get the CG right
Is it possible to put more powerful motor??
Offcourse, with another esc and battery.
It's a bad habit to fly the plane behind you..................................I learned that the hard way.
I've been flying a long time and do it all the time. Just need to be aware of your surroundings and you don't even think about after you gain some experience.
Amazing a gyro on a glider...lol
Can this transmitter be used with a computer sim to practice?
I don't know
Qual link da bateria?
Sorry, English please? 😁
@@AlbertKimTV send me the battery link
L@@Ks To Be A Fun Flyer & Not A Bad Price? Yet I've Bought Both A 60" Consendo S+ & A Calypso w/AR636 RXs + Flaps BNFs For Less Costs... LOL Thanks
This is NOT a glider. It's an airplane with a long wing. A glider has NO MOTOR to take it up. A glider needs a tow from another aircraft, a bungee launch or a side arm, hand launch. Don't call it a glider.
Actually there are the so called "powered" gliders.... In the hobby that is. Folding prop, motor stop and all that jazz, you know...
@@kamdozer Then you can call a Boeing 747 a glider, if it runs out of fuel.
Come to think of it, so is the Space Shuttle.
OK, you win.
@@jamesbonde4470 Wow - solid arguments.
