  • The generator rotor removal and installation system is a custom developed product for removing and installing the rotor in a power plant’s generator. The system is designed to comply with the varying dimensions and challenging accessibility of a plant’s generator. Enerpac has designed several configurable solutions which utilize hydraulics to push, pull and position the rotor at multiple height requirements.

You must add sleading plate and sleading shoes

I add to this last opinion, for several years I have been busy servicing large generators and rotor inspections. I have never seen this sist. Most commonly, only the crane and the coupling attachments are used. Possibly with the help of trolleys. At 90% of power plants, there is not as much space as the video, and after installing TG, a lot of other technologies are being connected to prevent the installation of such a pull mechanism.

Out of curiosity, how is the exciter end journal of the rotor being supported during this process?

To date, the system has been used at power plants in the US, Canada and Europe. The platform is designed to be setup at various heights. We've also developed systems with just the push pull system and track.
