One story, all interconnected characters and the twist in the middle effecting both the beginning AND the end. It’s just genius, tie between that and Pulp Fiction for me, I love both 😎💯
Don X the first half is basically what the whole film should have been. The second it too polished. The film is supposed to be like a low budget B-Movie, hence being part of a Grindhouse double feature. Tarantino is unable to write bad dialogue, which for the type of film Death Proof is supposed to be doesn’t work in his favor. And the fact they quit using the scratched up film during the second half of the movie takes away from the Grindhouse look the film is supposed to have. It is the weakest film he’s made but it’s not terrible. I’m not a huge fan of Jackie Brown, but I like it more than Death Proof.
My favorites are Django, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and his best, Jackie Brown. The opening of that film just really draws me in, and I love that song in the intro.
The Kill Bill 2 credits featured here are actually the second end credits, with the original song replaced by another (which wasn't released until 13 years after the film).

I love a lot of these are just music and text over black and they’re still somehow some of the most awesome credits ever. I also love how Kill Bill begins with a Klingon proverb. Though why doesn’t her revenge lost include the heads at Warner Bros who green lit Batman and Robin? For me, the best credits are from Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds and Kill Bill Vol. 2
