My neighbour had a few trees taken down that may have threatened his power lines. I was the beneficiary of the logs! Some are pretty decent! Thanks for watching, Jeff
Good to see the forestry trailer back in action. Beautiful weather, good equipment, good attitude, getting exercise, being productive...... the list goes on. Great job, you should be very proud! You are blessed
Definitely does the job. But speaking from experience, some joysticks would probably shave off 1/5 of the loading/unloading time. . At first i was really thinking the location of the hydraulic cylinders was a super bad idea. But after watching it run, there locations protect them from damage. Plus the boom is probably to light to handle the extra load. . Especially considering the controls are.......well.......analog in there operation.
Analog is about the best description I’ve heard. More like ‘on or off’ switches. If I used it more- or once I spend more time on my wood lot in a few years to come- I’ll likely want to upgrade the sticks to a pair of 4 way joy sticks. Thanks for watching! Jeff
That little log trailer is impressive, I run a bigger FARMI on my 65 hp tractor and yours seems to pickup 12 foot logs the same as mine. Your tractor must have a strong pump eh. Free logs from out of the woods are the best!
It seems abnormally strong. I have just over 1000 hours on that tractor now and I had a new 3039 here this past winter to demo. This little one is just as strong and it’s long since paid for.
I’m thinking of putting a skid plate under my 2025. I found a tamarack branch stuck under there when I was greasing last week. No damage but I think I got lucky.
I broke the neutral safety switch off before I made my skid plate. I’ve heard of folks who’ve pierced their hydraulic filter with a stick too. Better safe than sorry!
Hi Jeff You're a pr smooth operator !! You've probably mentioned before...But what weight maximum will it lift and handle ?? That was a lovely Green Lush forest of Ferns !!
Good morning Ken, it’s rated for 800 pounds at half extension but attached to my tractor I bet it’s more like 1000 with the extra hydraulic flow- I have a little power pack too for my ATV, that’s more appropriately matched for the rated capacity. Someday I’ll replace the hydraulic levers with a pair of 4 way joysticks, that’ll smooth it out some.
@thelogfather5002 Hello Jeff It looks pretty powerful...lifting a lot of the logs at pretty much full extension...and those logs are as Green as can be ...at least they looked Green ! You have a Good Day 😁

Blessed beyond what I deserve! Thanks for watching ! Jeff.
That little trailer is really handy for retrieving those logs. Nothing beats the price of free either. Great little video as usual.
I don’t use that trailer as much as I thought I would. Maybe in a few years, I’ll slow down a little bit and head to my wood lot.
Great one Jeff. Handy trailer. I like hauling stuff out or in to the woods with a tractor.
Have a great day. 👍🏻👋
Your picker log trailer was something that originally drew me to your channel
Hey Jeff. I really enjoyed this. Thanks for showing.
Those look like nice saw logs.
Jeff, love everything you do in the channel, but especially the lumbering portion with the equipment. Looks like you had fun getting out there.
I legitimately enjoy what I do. I’m a blessed man!
Hi Jeff!!😀😀
Free logs are always nice!! 😀👍
It felt like we would be bowled over by a runaway log.
I expected it to knock my camera over too. I was keeping en eye on it. :)
bit of a final destination moment

Hello Jeff, right equipment for the right job makes thing easier 👏🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
That trailer is not much more than a toy- but I get along great with it.
