Man I Would Have Waited One More Year If I Knew Those C8 Headlights Were Coming Out For The 2005-2013 C6 Corvettes.
Im thinking the C7 Morimoto looks better for the C6 generation. However, these lights on C7 would look killer since it is along lines of the C7 Morimoto Aventador lights...I know vette lights has all these options so take your pick lol

I like these, a bit on the fence on getting them but I do like them. This seems to be the only video with them so I'll have to wait on their release and see how they look in real world conditions.

Saw the C7 style on this car at SEMA! Still a fan of C7 Morimoto on C6Z, I'll be pulling the trigger pretty quick as well as the fog light assemblies.
Yes!! Interesting to see both styles on it, right?! Would have had the C8-style set installed but they didn’t make it in before SEMA unfortunately. Love how the XB fog lights flow with both styles though!!
@@vettelights4284 For sure, the fogs are a must! Was there a recent pretty significant price increase on the C7 style XB-2 headlights? I remember them being about $1200.
@@Calibur43 Morimoto had a slight catalog-wide increase in March and October - this did not impact the fogs though on the upside!

Here's the thing with drls they have a tendency to go out, and then you have to replace the whole light and maybe both because they only sell them in pairs. Those drls are doing alot vs morimoto's, also 2yr warranty for these morimoto's 5 yr warranty. So decide wisely 😁
While the GTR C8-style C6 headlights have not had any common DRL concerns at all, you are absolutely correct on the warranty length differences! Most failures in other headlight models are due to the drivers failing opposed to a diode itself and these actually have replaceable drivers unlike the morimotos which have no external parts, it makes for a tough decision with both options being so attractive!
Are these brighter than the xbs(c7 style lights)?

@vette light will the price go up to the 1800 price after a bit? Just so I know if I have to order them now before price increase. Sick headlights!
We do not anticipate any price increases on these in the foreseeable future. Preorders are taking up this initial incoming shipment pretty rapidly though.

Gtr C8 lights?
How does the lighting hold up in the long run? I've seen some go for sale cheap because some LED's go out in certain parts like the DRL.
They perform awesomely for us overall! Our shop C6 has had them installed since before pubic release and they are running strong! As a side note, if something like that were to occur (not a likely scenario), it would absolutely be covered and replaced by their 5yr warranty.
How is it that these don't need a ballast resistor?
Great question! These do have the proper resistance but the circuitry used to achieve this is internal to the assembly opposed to external.

You're correct! The aim was not adjusted on these as they were only in the car for a quick video but this can be easily adjusted with a Philips head screw on the back of the assembly. Piece of cake to adjust during and after install!
