Fun hands! I tried: 1. Double, then 4H by partner, then 4N-6C (heart void, three keys) 6D (do you have the SQ) 6H (I do) 6S (last was a grand slam try) P (sadness!). Draw. 2. Unopposed, 1H-1S-3N (solid hearts) - 5N (pick a slam) 6H (I pick hearts.) Win. 3. Exact same auction, I didn't play the diamonds at the first opportunity but went unpunished. Draw. 4. Exactly the same. Same stress in passing 4N. Draw. 5. Unopposed, 1D-1H-1S-2C-3C-3H-3N (3N was described a heart void, 12-18.) My heart suit is dead and now I have to figure out strain and level. Strain is notrump; we know enough and have the power to maybe not need them; level is tricky. It said 4N was 18-19 (I think) and I didn't have that, so I quit. Wrong level, but right side for the win.
I really enjoy your videos. The joy of the game shines through.
Thanks for the nice comment ❤
Oops, Board 3 I cashed all my tricks and only then played JD. But they still covered. Got lucky.
I do not mind the time you take to review bids/play. That is why I watch to learn the way to play. Also are you not playing the experts against one another any longer? Itwas fun to watch the board a match
Like the additional analysis... the value-add to these videos is seeing how the experts think about these challenges.
Board 4: Bid and making 3NT. After discovering the KD placement, I followed up with the first diamond finesse and then unblocked hearts with the QH. East wins and switches to clubs. On the club return, I win in South and finesse diamonds again to return a heart towards my hand. East wins again and attacks clubs again but I'm home. Ace on the board, Ace in my hand, and 2 more hearts... 4 diamonds, 2 clubs, 2 hearts, 1 spade.
How did you end up in 3NT ? :)
@@cricrinho I opened 1NT in 4th position. 2C -> 2H -> 3NT followed.

Nice analysis. I'm glad you get that bug too - I get it all the time ...
1) Draw - I was more excited about slam and did the driving
2) Win - 6H - very lucky on the lead. Couldn't afford to be greedy - cashed AK hearts before discarding spades.
3) Loss - - same lead and - only made 12 tricks - (didn't trick the bot at trick two).
4) Loss - Elected to pass
5) Win - 6NT - made. After 4th suit GF and their 3C - I bid 3H to show extreme length. North bid 3NT - I "corrected" to 6NT. Played this way round the spades are protected and east underlead their spade king.

Well done. The trick o' board 3 would work as often vs humans, I think it's a good trick, not a bot trick😊
