If he was challenged, Hafthor could have done the 600 pound stone that day. In future, I would love to see the old Arnold's format how they did the manhood stones. Athletes did not waste walking from one station to the other that way.
I´d love to see the stones back at the Arnold´s, altough i find that hard to happen. I belive they droped this event cause atlas stones are THE Wsm event, in orer to stablish themselves in other way the Arnold´s started doing other stones, wich is godly, like the tombstone and Hussafell. But i do mis this one.
The fact Thor never pushes his max on stones and yet beated the whole field is outstanding. Maybe, if Tom gets back in stone shape ever again we can put them together to push themselves to the max. Today (well in august) Thor just outclassed him as an atlethe and as stone lifter
Koma Svo King Hafthor! 💪🏻👑❤️ For those who might now know, this is the heaviest Manhood Stone ever to be lifted and repped within a full competition! Alongwith this World Record performance, let me affirm the fact that Hafthor Julius Bjornsson is THE GREATEST STONELIFTER WHO EVER LIVED! First of all, Stonelifting is not about one particular stone or one particular lift. It involves mastering both standardized stones such as these as well as natural (odd shaped) stones. Not only that, it involves prowess in breaking the floor, lapping, lifting to chest height, shouldering, overhead pressing and distance carrying. To be the best, you have to be good at all of these and prove it with numbers. Here they are: - *Hafthor holds the most international stone event wins in strongman history with 28.* Second is Brian Shaw with 25, Third Zydrunas Savickas with 21, Fourth Magnus Samuelsson with 18 and Fifth Mariusz Pudzianowski with 17. - *Hafthor holds the highest international stone event wining percentage in strongman history with 57.14%.* Second is Tom Stoltman with 51.6%, Third Aivars Smaukstelis with 45.1%, Fouth Brian with 42.3% and Fifth Magnus with 41.8% - *Hafthor holds the most stone world records in Strongman history with 16.* ¹ Second is Brian with 8, Third Tom with 6, Fourth Magnus with 4 and Fifth Mariusz with 3. Zydrunas, Mateusz Kieliszkowski and Rauno Heinla all share 2 each. All these are existing/ unbeaten WRs. (more info with refer to all above stats I quoted can be read if you google search 'Lifting Stone'.) It is also worthy to mention that Hafthor could have taken all above stats up if it wasn't for his precautionary habit of not finishing stone events during instances where he already secured the overall competition win (eg: 2018 WSM, 2018 WUS, 2019 ESM etc.) Therefore considering all above into account, whenever you have to mention the distinction of 'KING OF THE STONES',² please don't look any further. He said it himself after his iconic 2014 ESM stone run and it is still valid to this day. --- _¹ World Records:_ _Húsafell Stone 186 (410), Jón Páll Sigmarsson Stone 221 (487), Northumberland Stone 245 (540), Lundstrom Stones 124.5 (274) + 106 (234), Manhood Stone for reps 250 (551), Atlas Stone for reps (2 weight categories - 160 (353) & 200 (441)), Atlas Stone runs (5 weight categories - 130 (287) to 186 (410), 120 (264) to 200 (441), 140 (309) to 200 (441) & 160 (353) to 200 (441) 5 stone runs; and 100 (220) to 200 (441) 6 stone run), Natural Stone runs (3 weight categories - 120 (264) to 190 (419), 137 (302) to 170 (375) & 137 (302) to 212 (467)) and Atlas Stone clean and to shoulder 142 (313). Hooper didn't win whole show men 😂😂😂😂😂 he was faaaar behind Thor. Ilhoo0er is like younger brother that try to rech level of big brother but never ever do 😊😊
I have doubted Hafthor's ability to come back 3 separate times, twice due to injury. Yeah, I was wrong every damn time. Hell, I never thought he would get lean for boxing. (I have seen so many strongman channels do the "I'm going to get fit" thing, None ever changed their body much. Hafthor got shredded. (Thus the 3rd time I thought he would never have a come back) I have never seen anyone even close to his size do what he can get his body to do. It's wild.
100%. It’s going to be guys who are all round good like Hooper who will be so hard to beat in strongman. If Thor can increase his very few weak points he will be almost impossible to beat.
What are the rules about shoes? It would seem that if you could have a weightlifting shoes with a bit of a lift on it, it would help the shorter athletes…
He is catching up to Hooper quickly. I think in 2025 they will be on par and in 2026 Hafthor will be the strongest man on earth, if he doesnt retire first.

Love the thumbnail. It was a great event, those stones looked sick and Hafthor is the King!

Wow! Thanks Nirmal
Nir-sterkur, Hafþór needs to get you to write his biography after he retires for good some day. Anything else would be mad. 💪 🧠 👏
You should marry his daughter thresali ;)
Ok, those facts are hard to beat to any challenguer for King of the stones title
Strongest man in the world!!!!
Hooper won the whole show, but Thor was the most impressive.
Hooper didn't win whole show men 😂😂😂😂😂 he was faaaar behind Thor. Ilhoo0er is like younger brother that try to rech level of big brother but never ever do 😊😊
He cheated in the show and you know it
@@elostigador5232 I agree, his Squats were a Total Farce.
Mitch is leagues behind Thor in just about every way. Also we need to stop letting Mitch cheat his lifts.
@@brudikf
Hooper won the show.
He got the most points, he won… You’re is delusional as a Democrat
GOAT!
The king of the stones!

The strongest human who ever walked the earth.
with the rules they have yes but without them who knows LBS FOR LBS i mean
THORS A REAL STRONG.
Sir Hafthor!
I think next year he will come back even stronger . Over head pressing will be better. And I will be there to watch him .
wow, he can get 600lbs easy
Best competition on earth 🌎
Man he’s cool
He told everybody he would be back😂
Better stone lifter than Tom Stoltman
Scary how quickly he's come back after so much time off. If he can recover his pressing strength he's going to be hard to beat.
100%. It’s going to be guys who are all round good like Hooper who will be so hard to beat in strongman. If Thor can increase his very few weak points he will be almost impossible to beat.
Such a beast
Hafthor is probably the strongest human to have ever lived.
And he could have done 3 if needed.....
Only that day
What are the rules about shoes?
It would seem that if you could have a weightlifting shoes with a bit of a lift on it, it would help the shorter athletes…
I believe this was a world record right?
Yes, read nirmal's comment
That really must have been a tough set of stones seeing as even guys like Tom and Hafthor struggled.
it was also the fourth event of the day after doing a max deadlift
These stones were brand new and have never been used before
I wish he would settle the issues with WSM and Giants Live organizers. Its a shame to know we won't see him at WSM
Yes it is shame.
Both is losing.
But it is what it is
🦾🗿 z mojimi 82 kg moc toho nenarobím 😊 😭🎃

He's stronger than Hooper, what are you talking about? hooper is behind Thor even with Thor's off time
@@techbeef They competed a few months ago and Hooper won lol What are you talking about?
😀👌
it really is too bad that Tom hasnt been himself lately. he is still young, could come back and throw down the gauntlt with the 300kg stone
