I see this song as the only time where Vessel and Sleep are in peaceful and euphoric union. After Thread the Needle, which I see as Vessel finally giving in to Sleep, this is the honeymoon phase. That's why I see "I'm losing my faith in our lives apart" as Vessel being so completely enamored by Sleep that he can't imagine life without him (pretty sure Sleep is still a him at this point). To me, this EP is the perfect representation of the union, elation, and downfall of Sleep and Vessel's whole relationship.

@@NikkiWright-STLVR23 so they haven't released their set list, but on the 10th they do their first live show of the year, and usually they play the same setlist for half the year and then a new one for the second half!

But the best concert I ever went to had 10 Years, Flyleaf, Stone Sour, Def Tones and Korn. That was an awesome show, but I feel like Sleep Token will surpass it!

Fields of Elation is one that I think about a lot. I get what he means but I can't describe it. He sings quiet and loamy. Loam makes me think that God made Adam out of loam. Right?! I think he means a certain field that we can "go" to. I've been meditating for twelve years now. I had so many strange experience and strange visions. I think he means something like that....but I'm not sure.
Loving seeing you guys react to the early stuff, it has a special place in a lot of fans hearts. You can really feel the inspo for their older stuff, and this early stuff still stands on its own. One and Two are stories of their own and a great start to ST
A small detail that some have mentioned already, but this version on TH-cam is different than the version on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. This version has a few differences but the main difference being the outro with the lyric “Apart” echoing and fading out where it’s cut from the catalog version. I prefer this version and glad you guys reacted to it. Great video as always!

this song reminds me very much of Dead Letter Circus, back when I didn't know who Sleep Token were I instantly searched for them in my music library to compare them lol. then I recognized my mistake of course, and I like Sleep Token way better. but their old songs reminded me more of other bands, like Deftones, before they found their own unique sound. can't wait for more music from them and for you to react to it ^^

I absolutely love this song and I think if I had to name a favourite Sleep Token track, this would be The One. There's really just something about it. It didn't just get under my skin, it got under my fingernails, into my bones and everything. It's the track of theirs I most often play just as I've got into bed. But it also pulls on my emotions, giving me the warm fuzzies to start with and then dragging them out of me seemingly on a string and stamping on them whilst simultaneously chucking on big handfuls of salt just so that, y'know, I *really* feel that pain! I don't tend to look for hidden meanings or messages in songs and I approach them much like I do the films that I watch - as a form of entertainment. Sometimes I forget them as soon as I've heard/seen them. But Sleep Token's music has a different quality to it that's unlike any I've heard so far from anyone else. It's quite visceral and is sometimes scary. And I'll tell you something else. I'm here for it. I know that this chunk of word soup might make me look like some sort of strange person and there's a time I wouldn't have been comfortable with that at all, but things change as you get older. It's taken a long time for me to be comfortable in my own skin I suppose and it doesn't bother me as much now as it would have done if people think I'm some sort of strange person, because we all are to some extent aren't we? What is strange I think is that it's taken me this long to be able to recognise and realise that and that it's the intensity of this particular band's work and their lyrics that's sort of helped me find that. ❣Worship❣ ETA: I know this would never happen, never even in a month of Sundays, but I'd love to hear a duet with Sleep Token and Kate Bush. Two greats together...

I was told even now that III and IV only join for live performances, on all the studio stuff everything is Vessel (vocals, instruments, and production) except II on drums.
After hearing Kyle say he believes this was all just Vessel in the studio, I want to bring up that every single piece of work they have EVER created was just Vessel and II. Something some people don’t know is that III and IV are just paid touring members

Yeah, the whole first EP is done only by Vessel. He picks up II for the second EP "Two". And he obviously stayed for the journey.
II is credited as the Drummer on One, Vessel did everything else, besides George Lever engineering, but that is DEFINITELY II on the drums.
II has been called a “founding member” so I’m pretty sure he’s been there the whole time.
