Once your mushroom farm takes off you'll definitely need a more efficient/safe way to dry your harvest. Perhaps a project for the fall to be ready to use next spring.
I didn't "think" I liked mushrooms when I was young, but love em now. And thanks to Jen, I'm actually thinking about trying to grow em. Now to figure out what to eat them with, other that Chuckwagon patties and country gravy. 😊😋😊

Nice, I was wondering about smoking mushrooms like you would meat but never seen this done. I was wanting to try a tarp teepee with a open flame but broke down and bought a canvas tent with a wood stove so we’ll see how that goes.
You know they actually make smokers you can use along with mosquito repellent. Think I would dress differently went in the woods collecting mushrooms or even just taking a walk. Then again I hate mosquitoes

Hi Jen We never heard of smoking mushrooms that way. You always learn something new every day. You can replace the plastic with canvas for smoking ❤

Interesting I never thought of drying mushrooms. I'm gonna try that with golden tops! How long did it take to dry them?
A couple hours or so. These mushrooms are very thin so they dried fast.
