🎸 Dive into the vibrant history of Paramore, the powerhouse band that emerged from humble beginnings to become a global musical sensation! 🌟
Founded in 2004 in Franklin, Tennessee, Paramore began as a small garage band with lead vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Josh Farro, drummer Zac Farro, bassist Jeremy Davis, and guitarist Jason Bynum. Their infectious energy and unique sound quickly gained attention in the local music scene.
Paramore's debut album, "All We Know Is Falling," marked their entry into the mainstream in 2005. The album showcased their dynamic mix of pop-punk and alternative rock, with hits like "Pressure" and "Emergency," laying the foundation for their future success.
Facing the departure of members Jason Bynum and Jeremy Davis, Paramore demonstrated resilience with the release of "Riot!" in 2007. The album featured the chart-topping single "Misery Business," solidifying their status as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
"Brand New Eyes" showcased Paramore's growth as musicians, with Hayley Williams's powerful vocals leading the way. Hits like "Ignorance" and "The Only Exception" brought critical acclaim and a more mature sound to their repertoire.
The self-titled album "Paramore" marked a new era for the band, featuring a synth-pop and new wave influence. The Grammy-winning single "Ain't It Fun" became their highest-charting song, solidifying Paramore's place in the pop-rock genre.
"After Laughter" showcased Paramore's willingness to experiment with their sound, incorporating elements of new wave and synth-pop. The album's lead single, "Hard Times," brought a fresh and vibrant energy to their discography.
Paramore's legacy continues to thrive, with the band navigating changes and evolving while remaining true to their roots. As of 2021, the group is actively pursuing solo projects, leaving fans eagerly anticipating their next collective endeavor. - เพลง
Want more modern bands like this on my channel? Btw the amount of Butt hurt people because I covered one band they don’t like is hilarious.
More scene 2000s bands like this would be great.
Still waiting for an episode on Treble Charger.

But personally I've found value, gained knowledge, & experienced entertainment from your content. And even used some of that knowledge to sound cool in the middle of a stoned conversation after work one evening. 😎....... sigh, I'm the epitome of a married, middle-aged man hanging on to the frayed ends of youth and, ohhh, my bad.

I love these videos and really appreciate how well researched and presented they are. Keep up the good work!
Glad you like them! Thanks
There's something I noticed about that explosion of emo-tinged bands in the 2000s with groups like Dashboard Confessional, Jimmy Eat World, Thursday, etc.
They would often say that they were 'real' because they wrote songs about 'real relationships' and 'real heartache'. Even the heavier hardcore bands I listened to like Converge could be guilty of that.
A huge percentage of the most famous rock and blues songs are about painful and torturous breakups, what were those moppy haired emo goofballs smoking? They thought they came up with that? It just seemed like a dumb flex regarding songwriting.
Most emo bands are just trying to be cool and act like they are special. Typical, they are just average at best
The 90s birthed true 'emo' music about brutal heartache, misery and self loathing. The 2000s took that and turned it into baby's first breakup for suburban kids with rich parents and nothing to rebel against
@@jessehutchings very similar to how nu metal took the more heartfelt aspects of grunge and alternative and then made a mockery of it.
@@robwalsh9843 Not all 'nu metal' is bad .. but I guess that would depend on which bands you'd put in that category. There was also a lot of really bad second string 'Grunge' bands that I couldn't stand.
Love your work, never stop!
Thanks
I remember hearing Misery Business for the first time in the summer of 2007 on the local college radio station. By Winter, the "local" top 40 station finally started playing it, saying "you heard it here first" which made me laugh
I remember my local college rock station did a free show with them that summer before they got HUGE!!!
14year old me lived for riot ❤❤
I was a freshman in hs when misery business premiered on Fuse. Still love the group, still simp for hayley
Hayley is great but for her to say she couldn't find kids into music in Meridian, MS is hilarious. Being from there myself I can tell you music is a huge part of this area. I mean Hartley Peavey is here. I was in 3 or 4 bands at one time on top of being in the school jazz band. None were country bands by the way.
Don't forget southern rock-tinged post grunge rockers 3 Doors Down are from MS.
I appreciate how well researched these videos are, I have learned things about some of my favorite Bands that I never knew. Keep up the Great Work.
I actually got into this band because of the fooofaferrit brief history video. I identified with them. They soon became one of my favorite bands. I love every record.
Extremely well done. Underrated band. A talented knack for consistently writing great songs.
I first learned about Paramore from the Twilight soundtrack 15 years ago. And now I know much more about them. Always been a casual listener.
Thanks for this video! I enjoyed this. Back when their second album came out I was still in high school.
thanks! I really liked Riot a lot and brand new eyes had some good tunes too.
I got into them since their first album which I still think is their best album. All we know is falling absolutely slaps!
I remember when Riot came out and thinking these guys have a really good sound. That album was fantastic with the majority of the songs having the potential to be hits if the studios had chosen to promote them that way. That was also the time when the merest mention of a band having Christian leanings was a death warrant, and it wouldn't matter if they weren't preachy or a true christian band. Personally I'm not religious and never gave a damn what anyone believed or did, but a knew what sounded good and williams and the band were it. Williams is still on my favorite singers list despite the solo adventure that was less than bad.
Hayley Williams and Paramore have cited Geddy Lee and Rush as one of their influences, according to numerous sources. You can hear the Geddy/Rush influence on their prog-rock sounding hit "The News" from their most recent album. You also hear a bit of Geddy/Rush in their hit song from the Twilight series "Decode."
Not true about the Christian thing. Lots of bands in the mid 2000s were openly Christian and still popular
Great video! Although I was familiar with Paramore and liked many of their earlier songs, I didn't become a fan until After Laughter (2017). Their musical growth in the past decade has been revelatory. Thank you for taking the time to share their story!
Are u a teenage girl?
You’re welcome
You start liking them when they were already 'dead'. It's a morbid thing. It's like becoming a fan of Coldplay because of the Chainsmokers lol
@@AndreVlaamsValleHey dipshit, Paramore has always been relevant and very popular.
I didn't know anything about this band except that they were from Franklin Tn, a lot of write ups about them in local newspapers when they broke through. There was one Paramore tshirt left at the local Hot Topic this Christmas. That says something.😊 Thanks for the video.
You’re welcome

Great video, really enjoyed it especially being a fan of the band. Fan of your channel too 👌👍
Thanks!
Great vid! by the time Paramore came out i was more into the burgeoning deathcore and general metal and hardcore punk scene but all the scene girls i knew LOOOOVED Paramore. i was more into Job For A Cowboy, Heavy Heavy Low Low, The Chariot, Every Time I Die, Norma Jean, and etc lol
Thanks
And now they have two Grammys 2/4/24 congratulations guys what a comeback.
for an "unsigned" band this is massive
@@spamdatgd6326 Idk they were unsigned and they took out some heavy weights too for the win.
They have 3 total! They won another for Ain't It Fun
I love classic Paramore.
I was in an old switching station about 6 years ago in the middle of nowhere Michigan and i came across some guys desk that had Paramore posters all over it. I took a closer look and multiple posters were signed by the band and there were multiple personal messages from Haley thanking him so much for his influence on her and her band. It was strange. I don’t know who the guy was but evidently he was important to them. Anyway I don’t know. Thought I would share.
Back in 08 I saw them in a music magazine thinking, yeah she has a look about her. However the songs I heard werent that captivating. Im in my late 40s so maybe it was too late
Their songs are seriously average. 99% of their success rides on brave stunning photos of Hayley
@@jessehutchings Na they're catchy .. good bubble gum rock stuff with nice production .. and yeah, Hayley is very easy on the eyes.
I didn't know anything about Paramore, I'm old.
But now I do!
Cool.
I never heard of Paramore until a couple months ago. Great video keep up the good work.
That's fine, just know that you're an idiot.
Cool, I guess? Congrats?
@@Nomadic92 Idiot.
It’s been 15 years since Misery Business. It’s what they are known for.
@@Nomadic92 Nah, Darwin award's all yours, bud.
After Laughter was their best album
It’s my personal favorite.
Absolutely
Love paramore. Never listened to one of their albums but love to listen to live shows on TH-cam.
That is very unique. Never heard of that one
Me too. I prefer their live shows.
I mainly just watch their live shows too, Hayley Williams stage presence is always great.
Always been a fan and been to several concerts. Knowing her background more makes me relate to her even more. I completely understand coming from a broken home and just wanting a strong family unit.
Please bring back the clues for next week's videos, Sidd. That was the best part - for us all to guess who you're covering in the coming week. I know a few trolls kind of ruined that portion, but don't let the haters spoil the fun for you.
Their first album was good.
Riot was definitely Peak-Paramore.
Then they matured and re-invented themselves into a more alternative/light rock band.
Don't hate em for it. Just prefer their earlier stuff personally.
Their first two albums, are their only good stuff.
@marcohavokkhaos
I don't know if I'd go as far as to say that...
They did have the odd gem here and there on later releases.
But in broad conversation, I'd tend to agree with you. After RIOT in '07, the punk emo scene had somewhat peaked in mainstream markets and was on its way out.
So, while I can understand their change in direction, I would also say they played their best music in the mid/late 2000s for sure.
@@bmir89Yeah they would have at least one good song, on every album. But they weren't the same after Riot. Their music got too slow and boring.
@@marcohavokkhaos I was a hard metalhead but now my favorite albums are After Laughter and This is Why... they have such amazing music composition and maturity that their previous albums lacked.
@@RoxyArietis I am old punk/metal/new wave (some not all) and I wrote off Paramore from the beginning. This Is Why speaks to me on many levels, it is hard to explain. Spoke loudly enough for be to backtrack into other albums and now I realize I like this band much more than I could have ever thought...glad to be here
hayley williams and the band bro just say paramore
😎Thanks!!! This is
just another one for the ALGORITHM!!!!
oh Hayley's has had it tough but not really as rough as most kids who's parents got divorced. Having all paid van music tours was very privileged Jewel lived in her car performing at a coffee shop.
I saw them playing some small stage on warped tour maybe 15 years ago or longer and they looked young but actually toured, so not studio musicians. Real nuff band
Nuff?
I would love more modern bands.
Have you ever thought about exploring the music featured on Degrassi?
I remember degrassi but I have to take a look at the music on the show
@@rnrtruestories they had some great guests. And of course Drake spawned out of that and he eve filmed a music video starring all of his Degrassi alum.
Is Degrassi modern? Lol

I was this old when I heard about misery business
I always had a suspicion of them being plants

@@devinpaul9026 I think we can all agree at least one of the members is in the shrub or bush family.
Definitely the water shoots being that the first label was spongebob records.
I want and saw heislegend back in like 2008 and Paramore was a touring with them. Seemed weird but they blew up shortly after. Good for them.
While I wasn't really into their later stuff post Riot, Istill have fond memories when I first discovered them back in 2005 with "Pressure" and "Emergency". I can't exactly remember how I came across them, it was probably MySpace or the the Fuse channel back in the day but either way, I did like the sound at the time. "Misery Business" played so much that it's forever burned in my brain and so was "CrushCrushCrush" but around that time, I was kinda losing interest in them mainly because a good few female fronted bands that came out after them were trying to imitate their sound. The whole modern (at the time) "atlternative" sound with a female vocalist using a pop-like voice. Bands like Hey Monday, New Year's Day, VersaEmerge, and Icon For Hire are some that come to mind but either way, I just noticed that a lot of female singers at the time were singing in that "pop" voice and it was just so over saturated. With "Riot", I can see why some didn't really care for it as much as "All We Know IS Falling" because it was a somewhat change in tone, "All We Know" seemed a tad more raw in comparison but for me anyway, "Riot" was passable and even fun at times.
Either way, I'm not surprised at Paramore's success, they had just enough publicity and attention to get them out there and their sound was decent and accessible, a good bridge for newcomers of rock-type music with relatable lyrics to those of us who were teens at the time lol.
It's hard to fail as a pretty lady.
I think i was a little too old for them when they came out because they looked like corporate tennybopper BS, but I did eventually see them at Riot Fest in 2017 and they put on a great show.
They were played so much on the radio they compared just about every upcoming rock act to them.
i'm from nashville and franklin isn't a suburb, it's a different city that's fairly close but it is known for people that have money. it seems like they got insanely lucky in the beginning to get that kind of deal and be able to tour in high school. not really a fan but it is interesting to hear details of bands, especially ones from my town, or close to it.
I grew up in Nashville.
is it still one of the richest suburbs in the states?

Good information mate
Love this video! Thanks for this overview of Paramore’s story. Saw them headline Warped in 2007 🤘
You’re welcome!
What I don't understand is why David Bendeth (2nd album's producer) is never mentioned by the members of Paramore or even here. What am I missing??
Saw Paramore back in 2005, opening up for Cartel. I knew immediately they would be huge.
Please do a video on Fuel. What happened to John Corsale? Dude did a killer album with them and bounced. Toryn Green did a really good album and was gone. So much to tell that we know little about.
So, yes, they are corporate music. I did learn something new about Fueled By Ramen... basically a clandestine corporate label maquesrading as a DIY punk label. Honestly, pretty disappointed to find that out.
I know, crazy to discover that and look back in hindsight. It really makes sense though.
Their debut album Riot! Is a classic Emo-punk album!
Riot is their second album
Funny enough that’s how I found out about paramore, I played the sims, and that song came on, lol I can’t remember how I found the actual song though , because it was all gibberish
Back when label was just wanting her as a solo artist .. she could've done both.
That last line had me laughing so hard!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂 "And her mom moved to LA and is a life coach to Disney stars"...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😅😆😆😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🎬
I've always loved Paramore, Brand New Eyes is such a solid album.
Please, do an episode on Mutemath.
Franklin isn’t a county. It’s a city in Williamson county
I have no way to verify, but I live in Nashville, and I once worked with a local musician who used to be in some would-be up-and-coming bands who had a big chip on his shoulder because he was convinced Paramore had stolen his band's music and gotten famous off it.
Thank goodness!! I was mesmerized by a police bodycam video.... and without hesitation, when I got your notification.... I BOUNCED!!!
And my wife really likes Paramore. And I personally think that Haley is pretty hot AND talented.
Back to the video!!
Aloha! This was the first vid or yours I've watched. And that's because I just discovered Paramore...yes I know, I've been living under a rock! But I became interested because The Warning are Paramore fans...And I most definitely am a fan of The Warning. So how about a deep dive into The Warning like you did for Paramore? #APDVillaReality
So many a-holes try to tear the band down, despite the popularity and well-crafted songs. I 'd like to see the accusers play music.
Pls do Switchfoot next
I was literally thinking about them the other day.
Its funny you used clips from when they played for 97X Green room, I was there!
Grammy does not equal quality, it has become an award equivalent to mtv music awards.
I heard them and thought they came from some 90s or early 2000s teen tv show.
I love Paramore. Hailey was much needed for girls.
Future is a great, paramore song....anddecode
Riot was a pretty good rock album. After that though they completely turned into a pop band.
I’m not entirely sure I’ve heard a single song from them? I guess I can check it out ……. I guess…
I enjoyed the shit out of their last album.
Never could get into their music. The guitars need just a little more gain or overdrive added. I don't know, their whole tone is missing something.
I've always been a big fan of their drummer. I always thought their early albums had some great drum parts.
@@rnrtruestoriestheir drummer is ridiculously good. On those first 3 albums he was definitely all about playing as hard as he could, but after he rejoined in 2016, he came back a much more well-rounded drummer. Better technique, more groove/pocket-based playing.
What's wrong with the numbers 2, 0, and 8?
They make up 2008 and Haley said in the interview it was such an awful year for her she didn’t want a house with any of those numbers. Superstitious I guess
They're all even, not prime numbers which are objectively superior
*DRAHMA*
Only thing you learn from is the lead singer from a video. Damn. I thought her thigh was scarred and it was a cross
under represented as Musicians for Black Rock? Is she talking about All Black bands like Radkey? Or have Black members like Fall Out Boy. I can think of quite a bit of Mixed bands in grunge, punk and Rock . POD, RATM, Soundgarden, Deftones, Sneaker Pimps, Mazzy Star, System of a Down (All Armenian Group), Foo Fighters/Nirvana (Pat Smear), Jane's Addiction. FEA, 6 Speed Supernova and the list goes on and on. I am loving De Wayne and Ayron Jones as well.
Right? Plenty of black dudes in the metal community too
She's a white liberal woman. Any time they ever do anything is the first time anyone has ever done it. Like when Jennifer Lawrence said she was the first female action star for being in Hunger Games.
I mean, if Haley Williams didn't bring them up on stage how would they ever get there on their own?
The way this guys says "drama", like fingernails on a chalk board.
you are a great narrator and have a lot of wisdom Jesus Loves You
Okay...wait...into you was not their first song....🤯
You must be a very good documented because I am no fan of paramours, barely know 3 songs of this group and just don’t enjoy them, yet I sat through and watched that entire upload eiih interest, so I guess hard off, great work.
Thank you! That’s honestly the best type of comment I see 😊
Agreed, that is a good, no great comment. Never having listened to any post 2000 emo I have to say that I have never heard a note from this band. I too went to the end because of the quality of the video. Still don't know what they sound like....\__😮__/
If the music is good, I don't care if they were manufactured or not.
The music isn't good
I'm glad their doing well. They've been my fav since I was a kid. Except for Josh. Fvck em.
Why would kids from the south make fun of a girl with a southern accent?
Launchpad McQuack
Just everyone knows 99% bands are manufactured through the record companies. The 1% is straight lithium.
By the way, all of these people bitching about what they make off of their music is getting real old too. If you’re such a bad ass and deserve such compensation, put all your own money up and quit asking other people to front your ventures. Then you can reap all the profits. Until then quit bitching about business, business feeds business that’s how it works wake up.
The only reason there's any drama around this band was caused by an ex guitarist who is a raging homophobic Christian, and a bassist who now makes the absolute worst drug-fueled excuse for rap music you will ever hear. As far as being "plants"... if you're on a record label, you are, to some degree, a plant. You're going to be produced and put on milk cartons. That's just how it is.
Paramore makes excellent music. Especially those first 3 albums. And the Self-Titled album was a great pivot into them doing whatever they wanted musically. I wasn't a huge fan of the latest album, but that's gonna happen occasionally.
you mentioned nashville where artists are manufactured is a fact they are good but they are produced and watered down.

The story about the kids in Nashville picking on her southern accent made me press X to doubt. Southerners don't usually pick on each other's accents... Unless it is a Cajun Creole accent. Nobody else can understand what the hell they are saying.
Her mom is a 'life coach' for up and coming Disney stars. 😂 .. I get the feeling these people are way more connected than they let on. I doubt their personal history is exactly what they're describing. I could be wrong though. Still like the band and Haley is fine as hell.
Kids are kids and will find anything to single you out as different. They will zero in on the most banal things at times, so this is not that far of a stretch.
This video exemplifies brain rot. Every single original band member of paramore was a prodigy. What Zac was doing on the drums at 12 and 13 years old is unfathomable.
Never got into Paramore's music, although the radio tried to convince me otherwise. Even if their brand of emo pop punk didn't do much for me, I'd still take note of when a new album was released. And I enjoyed learning about the band's history.
😅 "the radio!!" 😱Glad you were able to form your own opinions, bro. Very stunning and brave of you 🏆
Kinda weird listening to all this history and drama over a band I've never heard of before. I do appreciate the video, but it sounds like I did'nt miss anything.
Kinda what I expected overly produced teeny bopper pop punk-esque .. I could never get into this style of music in the late 90s early 2000s… it’s just not for me . Sound very similar to almost every other band in that genre at the time .
😐 if you grew up during this time (or have ears) you know you're comment is hogwash. Not even funny parody funny; just stupid.
Ps. Not a huge fan of their earlier stuff either just saying you're trying too hard.
Guns n' Roses levels of drama with NO ONE CARING. 😆😆😆
never listen to them , tho the story sounds like most but still was informing
Seems like a record company concoction nowadays, especially since the dudes who wrote the early hits left.
I’ve never liked them, I still don’t like them and I don’t understand why people do…

I remember not long ago Paramore's TH-cam account made a post about re-releasing one of their earlier albums, but updated the art to not feature the rest of the band and just Hayley, and her caption said "Much better" or something similar.
That just says so much about her.
And their first song I heard was her proudly slut-shaming. Wasn't a good look. Then I heard that the rest of the band members were treated as backing players by the label and after that I was a little biased against them (and her).
Its not like they did this because she wanted to make it all about herself. The original self-titled album cover featured Jeremy Davis on it and after all the shitty things he tried to do to sabatoge the band as he left, it makes sense for them to want to remove him from the album art. Especially since Jeremy had almost no contributions to writing the actual songs on the record. Using this to try and make hayley look like a bad person is just ignorant
@josephhons1031 Even if they left one of them off why not leave the rest of the band? Still just extremely selfish.
So you heard a story and decided to jump to a wild conclusion based upon that story?
You sound like a super smart person.
@kegsofvomitspit I observed what she did and commented on it. I didn't hear any story and honestly didn't even really watch this video.
Not saying she isn't talented, she is. She's even done an incredible cover of one of my favorite songs that's better than the original. I just don't care for her personality. 🤷
I was in the Icu after a bout of Pericarditis in my early 30s. They scared my mom into the possibility I had a heart attack, and wanting that insurance money talked me into putting a hole in an artery in my leg and running a scope unto my heart to check. They failed to mention that I could bleed out if the patch in my leg gave and I would bleed out in 2-3 minutes, and would be required to stay in the icu for 3 days.
so alone in the icu I woke up feeling great after my first night of 3. I turned on the TV and Paramore was on. I instantly fell in love with the song and her energy. Aint it fun is a great song, and felt appropriate for my status at that very moment. I was all alone in that moment.. after dealing with what has been my biggest health scare to date in this big world. I fell right into the song. It just fit me and that moment. For the rest of time .. everytime I hear that song.. it pulls me back to that moment, and for the short time it's on I'm just grateful.. for everything. Life isn't always perfect.. but it's so much better than it's not.
Sounds like mom just pimped her out to the music industry
lol at the negative comments, all from guys too, typical... RnRTS covers all kinds of musical topics, plenty to offer on this channel, don't like one topic/band skip to another... If you can define yourself by your haters I think Paramore and Hailey are doing just fine and just shows proof of their undeniable impact on popular music and pop culture in general ...
Lol at you trying your best to say something relative but sounding like a signaling simp.
