Why are Kingpin first and various other characters so big compared to Frank Castle/Punisher? The Punisher appears to be 5 feet tall, while in reality he is a big man. Kingpin is rightly represented taller and bigger than most of the characters, but here it is exaggerated: the boss seems four meters tall! It's ridiculous. I would have liked more respect for the real size of these characters, so either Frank Castle was bigger and taller, or the various bosses were smaller.

Well done, nice observation.
Is a classic trope in old beat em ups and side scrollers, specially Capcom's and Konami' ones when the stage bosses were considerable bigger than the player character. Look at the Simpsons arcade game for example
