One of the best fight scenes I ever saw, it's hilarious & terrifying at the same time. The hero fighting for his life, but with all his skill & creativity, doesn't stand a chance against this "monster". Only because he's so tough, and with sheer luck, he barely manages to beat him. And the music fits perfectly, whenever it slows down a bit & starts again with the main theme, it's like: Round 1 knife, Round 2 grenade, Round 3 gun. It structures their entire fight, so damn hilarious. Who ever came up with this awesome scene, and made it so memorable - the writers, director, camera, stunt coordinator, music coordinator, and of course the actors - they worked so well together, they all deserve an award.

@@thomasward2794you’re dum af
Fun fact, when Kevin Nash was stabbed by that knife 0:54 it wasn’t a prompt and was done on accident, they were about to cut the scene and give him medical treatment, but this unit kept the scene going
That just makes it all the more fortunate he lunged to the right before getting hit with the knife, in my eyes anyway. Not sure if he nesscarily had to do that, but I wouldn't want a knife in the center of my chest.
Despite playing the character in one movie, Thomas Jane will always be be The Punisher to me. He just has that edgy look not many people have.
He was a great Punisher.
He is Frank Castle, no one else

Hot Take! Jon Bernthal is The Punisher, but Thomas Jane is Frank Castle.
He also played him a short film and the video game

Because “Welcome Back, Frank,” the comic the movie is partially based on is part of the source material, I cracked up at this scene when I saw it in the theater.

Such an iconic film, thats extremely underrated. With an amazing Cast, Storyline, Soundtrack, and messages I still have no clue why this gets so much hate, but all I know this is extremely under-rated and deserves so much more credit. An intense and comedic film, thats really worth watching. Legendary! ""Si vis pacem, para bellum - If you want peace, prepare for war."
This has to be one of funniest and most entertaining fight scenes ever made. The opera sets the pace perfectly.

My favorite part of that scene is the grenade. The way he returns it back to sender is just hilarious. Great editing. A lesser director might have slowed down the footage.

We’ll that’s not a stunt man. That’s Thomas Jane getting thrown through the wall because he accidentally actually stabbed Kevin nash earlier
kevin nash really did throw him through the wall. he wanted to try since he was able to pick him up so easily
@ThePapino134 Actually no. Thomas Jane felt extremely bad for stabbing Kevin so he told Kevin to throw him as hard as he could
The part where he smashes the barrel of the revolver with a random dumbbell and Frank Castle just looks at the gun and then up at him like “wtf, really?” 😂

I think one of the things that makes the Russian so intimidating is the fact that he never utters a word.
THIS is a GREAT film adaptation of THE PUNISHER! It has a comic book vibe and reality to it rather than the psychotic noir of the much older version with Dolph Lundgren.
