Now THIS is how you do a fight scene without any stupid jokes like in the MCU. The juxtaposition of Castle fighting for his life with the neighbors dancing to opera across the way made me laugh to begin with, and the small comedic moments like the Russian batting the grenade back into the bathroom and crushing the barrel of the revolver with a weight was funny as well. Not to mention when they finally crash into the other apartment when the song ends, that was good too. I always loved this movie for shit like this.

Honestly this is actually my favorite fight scene throughout the entire movie, because the opera music and the Russian (Kevin Nash) beating the bricks out of the Punisher (Frank Castle) definitely had mixed in very well in my opinion, also I thought this entire fight watching the Russian beating Down The Punisher is actually pretty funny to the point that I couldn't stop laughing especially when the Russian hit the Punisher with the toilet and refrigerator, I know this is just a movie because realistically I strongly believe that the Russian probably would have killed The Punisher a long time ago rather than continue to toy with him, which ultimately had led to the Russian's defeat and death.

THIS is a GREAT film adaptation of THE PUNISHER! It has a comic book vibe and reality to it rather than the psychotic noir of the much older version with Dolph Lundgren.
for those who didnt know, there was a misstake and the knife with wich he stabs the russian was actually a real one. Kevin Nash is such a unit that he was stabbed for real, and still continued acting. This isnt fake blood, that take was so perfect that they ended up keeping it, the face he makes is the face that chad of an actor actually makes when getting stabbed
Classic scene from an underrated movie, but more importantly, they used both the Garth Ennis comic character perfectly as well as the overall tone of the fight against the character. Considering how ludicrous, over-the-top AND comedically-exaggerated the character was, it was amazing to see played out.
The Russian is comedic, but that comedy is balanced with him being obviously insanely dangerous. He tanks everything Frank throws at him and gives equally back and seeing how much Frank throws at him it makes Frank into battered mess. Boiling hot soup on face does the trick as that would do the trick on anyone. This feels desperate and brutal fight Frank only won through quick thinking and blind luck of having hot soup available. Without soup The Russian would have very slowly broken Frank to very disfigured, dead mess.

This is a perfect comic booky fight scene. A great mix of sillyness, brutality, creativity, and characterization And the performances from both players is amazing. Specially kevin nash giving the russian so much personality with his little grins and actions. And not having any dialogue
I loved this scene. It's so shocking, brutal, and intense. I definitely wasn't expecting for the Russian to appear and punch the front door through into Frank's apartment. I thought it would be one of his neighbors again haha. It was a crazy ass surprise. Knowing that The Russian was hired but not knowing when he was coming...that was great.

I loved this scene. It's so shocking, brutal, and intense. I definitely wasn't expecting for the Russian to appear and punch the front door through into Frank's apartment. I thought it would be one of his neighbors again haha. It was a crazy ass surprise. Knowing that The Russian was hired but not knowing when he was coming...that was great.
