  • This was my very first trip video I recorded back to Newark Pennsylvania Station since 2001.
    Filmed on iPhone March 2022.
To see my third trip back to Newark Pennsylvania Station and Journal Square with a Walk-Through Click the link below or the “Info Card” at the end of the video. My 3rd Trip Return to Newark Pennsylvania Station has more scenic view of the Terminal and exterior of the old station during a Walk-Through:
    • Riding MTA and PATH Tr...
The last time I was in Newark Penn Station and Journal Square and recorded any videos was around 2001 Post 9/11 when there was some Restrictions to filming or capturing videos from within the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH). They were recorded on an 8mm C- Camcorder and I had taken the same attractions and a little more as seen in this video.
I have provided a time-line on all stops for the beginning stations before hitting Journal Square and they are:
    23rd Street - 8:14
    9th Street - 8:55
    Christopher Street - 9:49
    Journal Square Transportation Center
(Transfer Point for Harrison and Newark bound service) -13:31 [Stops skipped between 33rd Street and Journal Square are in NJ which are: Pavonia (aka Pavonia/Newport) and Grove Street.]
I have to say, I am saddened to see those H&M K-class/PRR MP-52 1206 and St. Louis (American) Car Company manufactured PA-1 and PA-2 permanently leave the PATH rails. As I was quickly reminded of my time on these cars in the '70s and '80s and 2010 (which I have some older video Camcorder and mobile videos I will upload when I find them) that made Railway history.
22:54 - Acela Railroad Departing Newark Pennsylvania Station Terminal.
23:13 - Amtrak Railroad Train Leaving the Newark Penn Station Terminal.
24:00 - PA5 PATH Train Newark Penn Station to Journal Square.
24:34 - Passaic River Dock Bridge for Port Authority-Trans Hudson (PATH)
    25:19 - Harrison Station.
26:22 - Red Bull Arena Soccer Specific Stadium.
27:17 - New Jersey Transit Light Rail Layups on Roadbeds Commercial Freight Yards.
30:33 - View of the Pulaski Skyway Bridge Causeway.
31:20 - Port Authority/Hackensack River Lift Bridge between Kearny and Jersey City, New Jersey, which is South of the Northern Wittpenn Bridge.
32:52 - PATH Train PA-5 Cars Layups entering Journal Square Transportation Center.
35:05 - PA-4 Cars Work Train Layups at the Journal Square Station Hudson Bergen Layup Yards.
Anyways, the trip from Newark Pennsylvania Station Terminal to Journal Square Transportation Center (transfer point) offers a pretty nice view:
    • Passaic River while riding across Amtrak's and the Rapid Transit Rail's Docking Bridge.
    • A view of NJ Transit Railroad and NJ Transit Light Rail non-revenue layup cars on the roadbeds, a quarter of a mile from Harrison
    • CSX Railroad and other commercial Freight car layups
    • Passaic River Overpass NJ Turnpike Toll Road
    • Pulaski Skyway and The Four Lane Bridge-causeway connecting to the Hackensack River and Passaic River
I am still in the process of looking for my older VHS-C Camcorder videos with superior quality for more rides on the Brighton Line dating back to 2000 and 2001 (Post 9/11) and PATH Ride on PA-3 Cars of JSQ and Newark.

14:10 The PATH PA-5 cab screen panel controls looks like the NYC Subway R143, R160, and R188 cars with the CBTC/ATO screen digital speedometer

I have the east view recorded on an older 2001 camcorder video. I am actually in the process of looking for that video with the other side as seen from the Newark bound east view. But Thanks for the positive Feedback!
