Many thanks, Jason. Just got my Pro+ in the mail today and your video is really helping me. You have an obvious gift of teaching . . . You put the “cookies” on the bottom shelf where even I can get to them. Thanks soooooo much!
Very concise and entertaining video! i just got mine today (office property) but I’ve always been intrigue by video production gears and settings. It’s a chance to learn. I will give this a try for sure! ❤
Jason, your videos are amazing! I just purchased a Video Mic Pro plus and watched your video on using it with a Sony camera, and then this one... I learned a lot from both of them! I'm a subscriber now, I hope to see much more of your stuff! Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you so much for those kind words, it really makes a difference. It is hard as a small channel that is not really growing very fast to keep up the motivation to carry on but comments like yours help a lot. Thanks for being a subscriber and supporter :)
Hi Jason! Do you know if/how the safety track works if recording direct sound on iPhone video? For example when I extract the video files already synched with the Rode mic source, would those video files show 2 different sound tracks?
Hi, for loud music you might need to try setting the output gain control to -10dB and then adjust the record volume in the camera to try and get a good level - just be aware that for very loud music it might overload the microphone itself and then it will sound distorted.
I didnt found this feature in DaVinci but i found where can i select channels 1 or 2 so i can choose the quiet one and work on it or else this feature is in paid da vinci version 🤷🏼♂️ Anyways this is gonna save my videos for sure !!!
Try this: Right click the video file in media pool and go to Clip Attributes Select the audio tab Change Format to Mono In Source Channel dropdown choose Embedded Channel 1 or Embedded Channel 2 depending on where the safety track is Drag clip to timeline and change audio track type to mono.
@@JasonRobertsVideo Once I choose source 2 in mono mode as there is safety track there is o audio in the right side of the headphones. The only thing for me is to keep as stereo and select same source for both channel other wise i have audio only in one headphone or I'm doing something totally wrong. I wish there was and filter like in adobe so it's basically normalising audio level and replace channels
@@JasonRobertsVideo Never mind I have asked my brother who is doing music for like 20 years so he told me what is what :D I have managed mono in 2 channels and stuff thanks by the way :)
