From the waves of the Pacific To the Heartland USA... From the Old South; to New England; and towns along the way! From the Great Lakes; to The Bayou; From the Mountains to the Shore... We're your neighbor, and you made us America's Favorite Store! We've got good things at good prices... Just what you're looking for! So more of you come into us... Than any other store! From the Redwoods, to magnolias; From the Palm Trees, to the pines; From main street to the suburbs, and the freeways intertwined! Over half the population... Is coming through our door! And we're proud to say you've made us; America's favorite store! Kmart, The Saving Place
I currently live in Little Rock, Arkansas. My husband and I love Kmart. The closest one to us that is still open is in Marshall, Michigan, so we took a little road trip up there this past week! The manager was shocked and flattered to have customers who came all that way just to shop at Kmart. It was a blast. I have missed Kmart, and wasn't sure if I'd ever be in one again. She even gave us free Kmart T-shirts!
Bless their hearts, Kmart really put some effort into trying to making a warm fuzzy image for themselves. Nowadays, you've got Wal-Mart pretty much telling you "yeah, we got it, now get your shit and get out!" I still go to Kmart because they're easier to get around in, but that's probably because everybody else is at Wal-Mart : /
God, the songwriting on this is impeccable. What I wouldn’t give to have this instead of the insufferable, unskippable 15 second ads of “happy adult with child! Buy from us!” Plastered with corporate greed like fake wood in an 80s car
VR Chat brought me here out of curiosity. My VR character is a Kmart shopping cart and a Kmart Roomba. The Roomba plays the "America's Favorite Store" bit every time I use it.
BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL IN SPORTING GOOD and everyone runs to sporting good like a angry mob but with shopping carts ready to run you over don’t play with people and blue light specials man them carts hurt
I love the1985/1986 Oldsmobile 98/88 going a parking spot the 84 Buick century wagon in front of the store and the 85 Chevrolet celebrity in the driveway
Just the fact they're touting they're number one in terms of shoppers isn't what got them to number one- it was having more stores than anyone else, not having more people shopping at each store. They focused so much on expansion they forgot what their main purpose was- discount retailing with specialty brands.
This is the kind of spirit our country needs today. This kind of music and the positive energy this commercial has.

This commercial is awesome! I saw it when I was a kid. K-Mart will always be America's Favorite Store. It will always be!
This is commercial is awesome! I wish we had commercials with these jingles!
December 2023: There are 2 stores left in the country. Long Island New York and Miami Florida.
It was better than Walmart

Kmart is just AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
Whoa-crazy to think Kmart was once America’s favorite store. I guess everything changes...
... for the worse
Good god, more than half the country's population goes through their door? I knew they were the biggest discount retailer, but man alive!

Nowadays: America's Deadest Store
Hell yea! A like for you!
Back when America was America.
One thing...Kmart owns Sears so if they don't get a lot of business it doesn't matter.
Sears and Kmart actually merged in 2006 and have unfortunately been declining since

Damn, I miss Kameapart even more after seeing this commercial.

Was this a superbowl ad
The unsaving place
It's like they used footage from Unsolved Mysteries and just changed the music.
Sadly you guys die....... 😑
This is excessive.
0:46 "over half the population is coming through our door", they kind of earned the right to be excessive!
the 1980s were...
That's how the 80s were. Sadly I was not born in the 80s to experience the good times.....
