I gave my copy of this deck to my niece. She fell in love with the intricate images and even though it's amazing I never reached for it. This was a fun walkthrough and I enjoyed your take on the deck. The pentacles is my favorite suit in this deck.
“It’s a pretty standard three of swords isn’t it, someone stabbed a swan.” made me snort out my tea. This is such a lovely walk through, I’d be well into more people making videos about older decks because this was delicious.
The pentacles suit is my favorite colouring in this deck. I've had this deck since around 2012, and I feel like I've hardly spent any time with it. I have been trying to grab it more... but I honestly have a hard time with this one. I think a lot of it is that the cards need to be bigger (and I say that as someone who tends to prefer smaller cards)... and, personally, as far as art goes, I tend to prefer bolder colours versus the soft pastel colours of a deck like this. The artwork is absolutely stunning though. I'd frame that World card if I could get a larger print of it!
This is one of my favourites ❤ The only deck I could find to match it - in my somewhat lush collection- was the Tree Keeper’s oracle. Same artist - so more of a long lost family reunion than an experimental pairing…😊 They are wonderful together
Oooo, you got it now! Congratulations for getting one of my oldest and one of my most favourite decks of all time! (well, that kind of sounded out wrong, like I'm not the author of the deck, but you know what I mean :D). It seems english version has more grey border on the cards and it looks a bit weird (or just not-used-to-it maybe) with the pictures - or at least on video, hard to say in real, but it seems Czech version (I'm Czech, so for once I can have something better haha. (I don't know much bigger they are, they're still not very big and the pictures still could be bigger to see all the details better! )) Anyway. Thank you for this video, it was very interesting to see your first impressions and thoughts on some cards when seeing the deck for the first time!
I love the shadowscapes! In the early 2000s the art of Stephanie pui mun law was all the rage within RPG contexts so I was soooo happy to find she did a tarot! Accidentally I have set this to be the deck I use with Venus/Aphrodite despite actually having the Aphrodite tarot. Thank you so so much for your videos and inspiration Sylvie! 🙏🏼❤️ Edit: I also keep thinking the frame of the cards just looks like an afterthought, I wish they'd made a new edition with a proper frame rather than the simple silver border
Oh I haven’t seen any of her rpg stuff but she’s got the perfect style for it! Love it as an Aphrodite deck. I’m with you on the border too, the silver is a bit meh
Hi Sylvie .. loved your walkthrough. 😊I have been searching for the Czech version but haven't been successful. Will you direct me to where you found this, please.
Hi Sylvie 🤗I love your channel ✨so thanks for being here! I've wanted this deck since it first came out over a decade ago but kept getting distracted by "the new indie deck that I need to get right now"🤦🏻♀I could kick myself for putting it off because now I definitely need to wait for a larger version 😭 The Shadowscapes with the Foxfire oracle is a stunning pairing. Sadhana shows them together in one of her awesome #tarotcombos videos. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/j-oJROSfA6I/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SkxlSuM0VXboLH3m
Hi Sylvie. You've reminded me to get this back out. I dont have any of the decks you showed. I read it as any other deck, not fae specific. I think I paired it with sacred destiny or 7 energies oracles.
Yay you got it! I hesitated for a very long time to get this deck because I was silly (didn't want to get it because everyone had it - there is a reason why duh 🤣). Anyway, now I have 2 copies - a Czech Version is bigger, more saturated but glossier card stock. Still worthed though, as it does make a difference when looking at the details😊 I live in the UK as well and managed to get a copy for 50 quid on ebay. If you check my last video about decks and chakras you can see it in my third eye chakra tome stamp 🤓 P.s. to my understanding the RWS elemental association with the Kings is that they are fire BUT I also see and read them as air because fire just doesn't fit the characteristics of a king imo. 🤷♀️

Oh noo RIP to your tea 😅
My favorite devil and most charming 6 of cups ever! This is my favorite deck!

Yes I’ve seen that deck! I want to add it to the collection now too, of course

Hi! Maybe some of the Siolo Thompson’s decks would pair good with this deck, or the ones from Paulina Fae also may match the style 🤔
