Tekken 4 always has the best endings in terms of plot. it actually follows on the character’s lives after they win.
Yeah. It was great and it follows the canon campaign instead of "what if" stories...
@@eluard9238 Well pretty much all of these are what if's, after all we already know Heihachi wins canonically. But even still these what if scenarios are beautiful, I love them so much.
@@aketsuuu even so, some endings does continue on in tekken 5, like how bryan fury ends up in Dr Bosknovitch’s lab regardless if he wins or not, or christie does reunite with eddy like in her own ending and the main canon ending is like a combination of kazuya’s and jin’s endings
This is probably my favorite Tekken game just for how much fun it is and all the endings are really good. Kuma's ending is still beautiful!

I like Law's ending. He tries something, fails and tries something else that seems to work better for him. Showing that sometimes faliure can be used as a stepping stone to get to where you'd be better off and just because your dream didn't work out, doesn't mean you can't be happy and successful elsewhere.

I found Kazuyas ending very haunting when I was a kid, man is he my favorite Tekken character. Pure boss he is.

I always loved Pauls ending. It starts off as so tragic, then he picks himself up like a badass. Such a shame that they changed him into a walking joke.

Everyone's Ending in Tekken 4 is amazing and the developers put in a lot effort making the endings for each character feel and look so damn good! Tekken 4 will always be my favorite one!

First Last since Harada became the head of Tekken the series has begun to become this weaboo infested shit game. He completely destroyed the story and the chances of restoring it to its former atmosphere and greatness are pretty small. The damage has already been done.
Who the fuck even likes shit characters like Lucky chloe, alisa, lili, josie, Lars and that weird "gender neutral" character Leo?
Its ok to stop doing individual endings for irrelevant characters in the storyline after all its a waste of resource and they only confuse the storyline.
I know it sucks but look at the other fighting games, they have to step up their game!
Krowne Saga LMAO, the 2 best selling Tekken games had stories for each character, so I guess the other games need to step up. Tekken is the best selling fighting franchise and I dont think that becoming a street fighter clone is good.

MKX and Injustice series pulled off a really good story-telling despite being a fighting game. I think Tekken deserves some story-telling upgrade.
Tekken might be the best selling fighting franchise NOT because of the STORY, BUT because of the GAMEPLAY
Dude Nina is the mother of Steve is such a nice plot twist.
Dr B is one excellent scientist for helping Bryan expand his life, even though Bryan attacked him and the Manji clan.
Tekken 4 respects all the characters. Paul got a very good plot and ending here.

Some of the endings here are actually my favorites, just Jin, King, Law, Paul, and Kazuya.

Super8429 Actually Jin did go 100% but during the fight. the devil side of Jin was trying to take over and cause him to let his guard down. Hwoarang saw this but did not know what was going on and took the opportunity. He won the fight but after a little bit, Jin woke up and transform to Devil Jin and Beat Hwoarang but for some reason spared him.
how was he relevant?
In Tekken 5 Jin and Hwoarang fought twice
I thought he was relevant in Tekken 5, but not for Tekken 6 and Tekken 7.

My favorite ending to Tekken 4 was Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Hworang, King, Kazuya, Christie, and Jin Kazama. I still have this game on PS2 since my childhood when I was 12 years old brings me back memories looking at it.

In my opinion, Tekken 4 had some of the most interesting storylines in the entire Tekken series. It had story continuation between the Mishima and Kazama, with Kazuya making his return.
Furthermore, it was the game that expanded on new storylines which became my personal favourites as the Tekken series continued to grow, which included King/Craig Marduk/Armor King, Yoshimitsu/Bryan Fury and Steve Fox/Nina Williams.
While the gameplay was horrendous, the dark storylines involved in Tekken 4 was what made me come back to play the game more. I thought this game was slightly underrated in the series and it is a shame that because it had bad gameplay physics, it is classified as a bad Tekken game.
I absolutely enjoyed this game when I first played this and I still enjoy it now.

Nah man the gameplay isnt bad for me, the stages where the best in the franchise, the atmosphere of the battle was another level and the battle was always looking like a real street fight, it was more tactical, more real and nice, even the details where amazing (if you observe the details you will see amazingly accurate details) and the match was more realistic and unique.
@@MGrey-qb5xz agreed. lucky chloa is complete anime garbage that belongs in bin. I'd rather have my oldschool Kunimitsu, Nina, Anna. let the women age also nothing wrong with having few beautiful mature women.
What was bad about the gameplay?
T4 is classified as a _bad_ Tekken game?! Maybe its my nostalgia blinding me here, but this game is not bad at all! Rough around the edges sure, but no game is perfect!

Coming back to see Steve and Nina's endings after watching their endings in 7 makes me grin a bit.
Nina said in 7 how she doesn't care about Steve at all, but in this one and 7, she's saved him.
I remember when I asked for soul calibur 2 for my birthday, my dad said it was sold out but bought this instead, I actually played this one more than soul calibur 2 or 3 lol it's probably my favorite fighting game
I remember feeling so much emotion watching these as a kid. Some of them really cut deep! I wanted to know more about the characters...excellent storytelling, I guess

Mine was broken. The endings I got were just the arcade opening. The Mishimas' endings were just the cutscene of Heihachi preparing to fight Jin.

always felt like in the series starting with tekken 4 the kazuya that came back should have been a clone inplanted with all his old memories and the real one died after the events of 2....I wouldn't mind the changes in the story as much if that were the case.

Tekken 3-5 was the peak of the franchise,both in story and gameplay.
Things went downhill after 5,the franchise's writing became garbage and the gameplay kept getting more and more dumbed down until it became the joke it is today.
5 was the beginning of the story´s rot, Wang carried that game so much.
