I'm 75% Irish. I don't need to drink stouts, nor do I need to drink drink green beer to feel Irish. My blood is mostly Irish. I will enjoy coors banquet this weekend.
For any country lovers out there who want to listen to some awesome Irish folk music, I highly recommend The Dubliners. Listen to songs such as "All for me Grog", "Muirsheen dirkin" "the rare auld times" "Rocky road to Dublin" "song for Ireland" "Molly Malone" "seven drunken nights" "The town I loved so well" and "Whiskey in the jar"
My Dad got me drinking Guinness extra stout years ago and it’s become something we bond together with and love laughing at folks who can’t handle it 😂 Guinness means a lot to me and I’ll drink it until I’m gone. Love you dad 🍺
Just unrefined palates. Everything is sterilized in the us. The hands, the tastebuds, the minds... I mean the "beer" the average american drinks tastes like...well it tastes like almost nothing at all.
Killian's is okay. Being that it is not actually from Ireland, it loses a point. Also being that it is not an ale, it loses another point. Traditional Irish, and British beers are ales, not lagers. Lagers were continental brews until after the second world war. I was surprised that Harp was not included in this. It is owned and produced by the Guiness Brewery. It is Irish made; however it loses a point for being a lager. It supposedly was originally brewed to satisfy Irish tastes for lagers that was developed after the second world war.
I have to try that Mutphy's. I love stouts. I have a bottle of imperisl russian stout in the refrigerator but that is for another holiday. But when you like beer, every day's a holiday!!
It's how it gets you. I'm Romanian and saw that Guinness was an option (expensive one, it's not a locally produced brew). I HATED it but i decided to not let it go to waste. Half way through I started noticing that I'm actually liking it, by the end I wanted more 😂. It's good during colder temperatures.
I only drink it on Saint Patricks day, or on Saint Patricks day weekend. I typically buy the Guiness Nitro, and the Guiness Extra Stout, a six-pack of each. I do not love them, and I do not hate them. Which one of the two is preferable to a Guinness lover?
@@nurgleschosen8145 same for me lol. I hated it at first. Hate is a strong word too, but one day I had it years later and it was night and day lol. Cheers 💪🏼
@@leviturner3265 I’d say the Nitro since it has the creamy finish that Guinness is supposed to have. The extra stout is good but only if you like bold flavor. It’s much different from the OG Guinness that people love
When pouring Guinness from a can with a widget (the ball) fuck 45 degrees out the window, as soon as you open it dump the can straight down to the bottom of the glass and pull it up slowly as the level in the glass rises, keep the can just above the cream until it’s poured out. I’m Irish, an old man told me to pour like this and he was right
I feel if Boss keeps dressing up for every holiday, that it'll turn into something wild lol! 😜 Keep it up Y'all!! Love y'all's videos and one day well collide businesses❤
So I have a suggestion. Have Killians with a chunk of sharp cheddar in your mouth. It’s awesome. New subscriber here and love your reviews.I’m here in Townsend Tn.
Harp lager and Smithwicks red ale are the top tier irish beers. I also enjoy the classic guinness with a touch of current syrup (I only like guinness that way or with a shot of whiskey mixed in)
As an American with Irish ancestors, I can honestly say that I prefer lagers. My ancestors might have come to the USA from Ireland, but I'm an American and love golden colored lagers and not stouts.
Yeah the Guinness is a 100% better in Ireland than in the USA!!! I've been there at the brewery in Dublin... Idk if it gets old on the way over to the US or the US government water it down.
There's Smithwicks (the Irish pronounce it "Smitticks"), an excellent Irish brown ale. I decided it was my favorite beer of all. Trouble is I can't get it in the country where I live.
When it comes to Irish beers. Who doesn´t like Guiness extra staut?? And Killians irish redis also perfect when i´m on the balcony listening to the Dubliners and Seven drunken night´s a week. Or Dirty old town 😊🍀🍀
My wife's family is Irish (the vast majority still live there), so we went over the year after we got married. Her aunt took us to a family owned pub and had 3 pints of Guiness drawn for us, giving me hers since she didn't care for it. My wife took one sip of hers and did the same thing, so I ended up with 3 pints of it, and I will be fair and say it's not the beer of choice for me. To me, it was too heavy of a beer (especially after experiencing German beer in the early 80's while stationed there). To this day (30+ years later) it's still not what I'd consider my beer of choice - there are others I enjoyed a lot more - Kilian's being one.
Guinness has been a beer that I just can't palate, and I actually enjoy many IPA's that are pretty bitter. I can do breakfast stout and others, I just have never been able to enjoy tasting a Guinness.
Dude...I find it interesting that you were not a fan of the two best selling Irish beers. But you are not alone. I don't care for regular Guinness nor Murphey's either. They taste like watered down soy sauce. LOL The beer you chose as your favorite, Killians Irish Red, is brewed by Molson Coors and does contain corn syrup. It's ABV is 5.4 unlike those 4% Irish fermented dark waters. LOL
Every time I see Boss in a costume, it reminds me of Ralphie from A Christmas Story and "Aunt Clara's" Easter bunny outfit. Boss looks as uncomfortable as Ralphie.
I tried a beer called rocky mountain standard that i really liked. I don't know if odells still makes it. They aged it in buffalo trace used barrels. I was wondering if you could review some beers that were aged in bourbon barrels.
I am not going to lie, I always liked seeing you dressed up while doing your beer reviews. Whether it was a serapé & sombrero for Mexican beer review, or lederhosen for German/Austrian beer review; you seemed like a good sport. If you don't want to dress up, though, then don't. As long as you courageously & selflessly try the beers/spirits in front of you, I think most viewers won't care. 1 Irish beer you missed was, Harp lager. IDK if there are enough remaining Irish beers to do a part 2, but you might consider a black and tan/half and half: half Harp at the bottom & half Guinness on top, just a thought.
There is a wonderful drink called the Irish car bomb that is made with Guinness that can taste like chocolate milk if made right. Take 6oz of Guinness in a glass then do a half shot of Jamison and a half shot of Bailey's Irish Cream in a shot glass. Drop concoction of Bailey's and Jamison into glass of Guinness and chug. Do a few of these in a row and it will get you to a nice place.
I only like Guinness dressed up as an Irish car bomb. Killions is dope as fuck and I'll have to try the 10w-40 if I can find it here in the Texas Hill Country.
LoL... I do love a good Guinness. I've been told it taste better out of tap. Great video, and if you have to wear the outfits then your partner has to wear them also. Those are the rules.
I say lean into the costumes more! Cinco de Mayo is the next big drinking holiday... I say full Mariachi suit, fancy Sombrero w/tequila shooter holster bullet belts!!!
Killians is good, but hating on Guinness?!? C’mon! 😂 BTW, love the costume! Oh, and I also heard from a friend of mine that Guinness and vanilla ice cream floats are delicious. Haven’t tried that yet. You try it. 😜
Bama' boss please try Beer from my great state of Kansas (Tall Trellis, Red Crow, etc). You have no idea what I would do to see this spectacle. Every Goddamn beer from here is either the best thing you ever tasted or a horrid amalgamation that even Stone Cold wouldn't touch with no in-between.

This is how the original Irishman should look in Alabama!
Killians was my go to beer when I was in the army. Now that im retired it still is
Killian's - as Irish as Adolf Coors ........
I was really hoping he’d like the Killian’s. VERY GOOD beer!
