Ik ben het helemaal eens met je verhaal over de invloed van de oude meesters. Bij mij viel het kwartje toen ik op de kunstacademie Jacob van Ruisdael's Gezicht op Haarlem zag. Ik heb veel aan ze te danken!

Thank you, Michal. I design my paintings in Photoshop, with the help of my photo archive. I create digital collages, which sometimes contain 4 or 5 photos. For this painting I used only two. In the end the painting can differ considerably from the design.
Yes, that is certainly possible, but there are 2 things you need to take into account. The larger canvases in particular will flap like a sail in the wind (due to the force with which you hit the canvas). That can be annoying. Secondly, over time you can see the stretcher bars emerge in relief because the canvas is repeatedly pressed against them by the movement of the stipple brush. These are the reasons why I made the switch to working on board.

Awesome two days work. I am wondering if the burnt sienna kills the blue at all when it shines through, or makes it more vibrant?
The latter is the case. The warm-cold color contrast makes the sky more vibrant.
