I 'think' Tom sold the Mclaren F1 for £3.5m and he thought he'd done well. Which, I suppose, he had at that time. The value's now trebled for a motor of that spec. Insane values for a truly iconic car.
Absolutely fantastic, many many thanks, I could listen to the stories all night, fascinating 👏 cheers THJ, keep well.

Some people know the brand. Some people know the model. Some people even know production numbers. Tom knows the brand, the model, production numbers and history and specs of every chassis...dear Lord. Love it.
It gives me a proper buzz of how passionately you talk about each individual car You just gave us 30 orgasms Can we say that these days Good man 🤣 The preserver of iconic cars!
I just only watched this today Jan 13,2021 and thank you so much Tom for this wonderful review of yours.... belated Merry Christmas and a better New Year 🙏🇬🇧
Great video, I’d be interested to hear from Tom regarding ‘modern classics’ whether he feels if some vehicles have reached their maximum values or does he expect them to rise in the future? Take an Escort Cosworth for example, the most sought after it has ever been.. but will younger generations find the car as appealing? As supply will only get lower (cars fall into disrepair/accidents) will this offset a potential reduction in demand or should we expect demand to stay strong... I doubt Ferrari/Porsche, other prestige marks will ever suffer this predicament with residuals... but some ‘modern classics’ might? Thanks
Fantastic video Tom, love how you've moved into the historic market and clearly have a love for the cars and not just the money! Always followed your family's career in the motor trade, I myself am a member of the trade albeit at a slightly lower level......Some amazing cars you have sold, particularly the 50s/60s/70s Ferraris and the Maseratis, the Alfa 8C too is just beyond words. You've obviously sold quite a few McLaren F1s, what do you see as a more modern successor that you will aim to stock? I'm struggling to think of any as Paganis, Koenigseggs, Bugattis etc have no motorsport legacy and the manufacturers seem to control the used market for them?
Tom, liking your TH-cam stuff but when I looked your garage up on Google the reviews were very disappointing. You guys need to work much harder to improve these. I thought if I ever wanted an F40 based on your channel reviews then I would head your way, but one look at Google and no thanks. Such as shame.
I know numerous people who’ve bought from Tom and every single one has nothing but the highest praise for the firm.....out of the hundreds of deals done every year their will be the odd mistake and I’m sure they’ll have tried to rectify it ASAP.these people just like to vent and leave a shitty review, what you don’t get is the other 99.9% leaving positive reviews
Hi Toby, Thank you for your comments and feedback, it's much appreciated. Our customer service is something that has always been our main priority and unfortunately we have found some negative comments on Google that simply don't relate to our business or any of our previous transactions and we are working on removing these. Should you wish to discuss a vehicle at any point, we would advise you to contact our Sales Manager, Jonathan on: info@tomhartleyjnr.com and we can arrange a call at your convenience that we can guarantee will put your mind at ease. Thanks again Toby and Merry Christmas, Team THJ
I would assume the type of buyer dropping over 1 million (at the low end) on a Tom Hartley class of historic car,is going to have a bad experience and think " I know ,I will leave an anonymous online review." I suspect,if anything goes wrong it's sorted behind closed doors. This keeps the integrity of the business intact and the buyer / seller from looking stupid.
@@brianiswrong agreed,at this level of cars I suspect it’s a niche market and highly competitive so jealousy plays it’s part, but I’ve at least 4 friends who’ve used tom jrs and all couldn’t speak highly enough of him and all his staff.....
I have no dog in this fight and I'm not affiliated to him or his dealership, but having looked at the negative Google reviews, it appears Mr Hartley Jr is the victim of the usual attempts by rivals (in this case it looks like people who claim to prefer Romans International) to take him down based on unsubstantiated comments that Google's mechanism allows to stand. If you read the positives, they're based on people that actually shopped at Tom Hartley Jr. The negative comments are all based on personal slurs, or one chap who wanted to take his kids on a day trip to show them the Ferraris.... hmm.
The cars are total scrap, their older than you Tom get into 2021 you wouldn’t wear an old pair of knackered trainers so why would you want to drive an old banger of a car 🚘 your old mans older and he don’t bother with them they scrap
Watch in x1.25 for normal speed
Haha it really works
Tom's speech is very clear and well-structured, like a professional TV presenter.

Merry Christmas from the States! Thank you this awesome gift! Love the Christmas theme as well. I will buy a special car from you some day soon.
Hello Tom - Did a still sealed copy of the F1 book "Driving Ambition" go with the yellow McLaren F1 when it was sold?
#fantastic
Woww Tom. Quite impressive 👌👑 #keeppushing
Tom, do you have many female buyers of these ultra high end vehicles? were any of the cars you spoke of purchased by women?
Do you think you will ever get to buy and sell the ultra rare XJ13 V12 ?
Would have been fun to hear the sale prices...
Prices would of been good 👍
Merry Christmas Tom, and thank you for another great content production. Please have a word with your audio man, very distracting levels.
Would be nice to here the price
Loved this very informative and interesting video….apart from that bloody irritating background music!
Just try and imagine the ones that he can't mention for confidentiality/NDA reasons ... :O
Vinkwiki could do with a tom talks
Titova mecka kida

" FAWRAWRI"
I really like your fascinating vids. But they're spoiled by the needless & distracting music
I look at cars from the 50s and 60s or even older... And I see nothing desirable. I cant relate to them. Too old.

Never wear a tight fitting sweater when you are a middle age man.
The cars are total scrap, their older than you Tom get into 2021 you wouldn’t wear an old pair of knackered trainers so why would you want to drive an old banger of a car 🚘 your old mans older and he don’t bother with them they scrap
