As someone that lives here full time the rules are soooooo complicated now there is no reasonable person that can follow them. I understand the government is trying to both protect the citizens and keep the economy rolling... sadly they are failing at both.

the divorce/separation thing has been so real especially for my family (even though we live in the usa) because my parents divorced a month into quarantine when we were all home. i figured it was gonna be a bigger issue for others too.

I don't live in Italy (yet), but i doubt the govt helps the citizens. :( there is just so much the govt CAN do to help the citizens while forbidding them to go places to make and spend money. The only thing the govt can do, is to allow business again and the movement of people.
I do live in Italy and there have been some emergency handouts for those who have lost their income because self-employed, whereas for employees the government has subsidied furlow schemes and suspended firings presumably till the end of the pandemic. Having said that the situation here is dire and we are all a bit off kilter because of it. I am a teacher and I do feel for my teenaged students who feel they're missing out on their youth.
Like Mimmi mentioned there has been some little things here and there, also the cashless initiative offering some money back on purchases made online or by card. But I have heard rumours of a 1000 or 2000 euro "reddito di cittadinanza" but no details yet...
It's a SENSIBLE idea. This way you can't vote two or three times, in different boots or sections. You can vote just in the section where you are registered (they have a list of all people registered in that section and they check off that list when you give them your ID) and you can vote just one time (they put a stamp on your "tessera elettorale" when you've voted and you can't vote again in the same election after that).
Our lockdown has been extended. Fortunately, I'm an introvert and a writer. That said, I miss going skiing and traveling. On another subject, how hard was it for you to find an apartment in Südtirol?

This only comes to encourage people to break the rules. If the wife went in first, then the husband some 5 minutes later, without explanations to the security (because they didn't need to explain), they wouldn't have been fined. At the end of the day, that guard was abusing his powers. :(
This was a well presented video Rafael. The only thing you forgot to mention is that under our basic human rights, as affirmed in the U.N. Declaration of Human Rights (1948), the governments of all countries do not have a right to put anyone under house arrest. Restrictions are allowed to prevent the spread of the virus but not beyond a certain level.
Who’s under house arrest? I know I’m not nor do I know anybody else who is... so I don’t see the relevance to the conversation about lockdown in Italy since we’re not under house arrest.

In Menards in the US (home Improvement store) at the beginning of covid they had security at the entrance and only 1 person was allowed in per family. Absolutely no kids was allowed until months after and a mask is still 100% enforced Aldi also at first was only letting 1 person per family in.
I'm actually surprised about the home improvement store only letting in one person per family, all the home improvemnt stores I went into back in the states were massive with plenty of room to socially distance... other than maybe a small town Ace Hardware

I say lucky we have the Government we have now , the others were saying masks on masks off everything open then everything closed , with the amount of deaths we have had and family's who have lost there loved ones , we all need to be very careful the virus knows no bounds , and untill we are clear of it no one is safe , so yes thought measure have to be in place , and that is not an easy thing to do . So let us all try to come out of this nightmare that is holding us away from what we were use to in our normal lives . Keep safe everyone .

Yes I've done a. number of videos on working in Italy But to quickly answer the question here, as long as a person is legal to work... with the Italian language and an education, you can have just as much opportunity to not find a job here just like any Italian from Italy 😅 Unfortunately, there's a reason why so many people leave.... however even with that said, it's not completely impossible, but often an uphill battle.

Economy will certainly bounce back to some extent, but... yes there are many buts.
