The best book you should read is "Stick & Rudder" by Wolfgang Langewiesche... super useful stuff to keep you out of the trees presents many good operational considerations. Looks like you are doing really well nailing the float in ground effect and not pitching up too soon.
I am impressed you still have a lot of green on the trees... When you get a little better and consistent on your landings start to practice engine outs....with the engine still running of course.
The tress have been turning rapidly and Ya dead stick landings is something I'll be showing in my next video and I also get to pull off a real short landing spot at a farm place and then take off from the driveway
@@jordonweets dont take me the wrong way. I know how quickly things can go sideways. just want to see you safe...its a great feeling hedge hopping and chasing deer in the cornfields. but there are a few things you need to know. you are doing it the right way, calm air, evening flights but there is a lot to be said for my journey to becoming a private pilot my own crazy story when MPEG1 video was the first video I put up on YT. . when I see guys like you I wish I could upload my 20 years of experience... I shot off that comment before your narration about dead stick landings... take it to 1000' and learn how she feels in a stall, get your flares down and you be just fine. There are rotors that can form over tree lines, roads and bodies of water that can get you but you will learn soon enough... your footage reminds me of my early days. its uncanny.
Thanks for taking us along Jordon. I just started following your videos. I fly a weight shift trike myself. If I had to fly a 3 axis machine, it would be a Quicksilver. I use the Avare app when flying. Can I ask what app you use?
I really like your camera angle it’s just like sitting in it . The landing view is very cool 👍

Thanks for watching. I've been using the app called paraglider dashboard I like how simple it is and how it records my flight details.
@@jordonweets Thanks. I'll check it out. Keep the vids coming.
What app are you using
I'm using paraglider dashboard.
I notice you don’t use rudder control with feet. Is that easier to fly?
Rudder is on the stick and yes I think it's super easy
