  • Planting Lychee Trees in My Fruit Forest | Growing Rare Tropical Fruits at Home
Welcome to my latest garden project! In this video, I’m planting two beautiful lychee trees in my backyard fruit forest. Lychees are a rare tropical fruit prized for their sweet, juicy flavor and vibrant pink-red skin. With their lush green foliage and stunning fruit, these trees will be an exciting addition to my garden.
I’ve chosen two special varieties for this project:
    1. Erdon Lee Lychee - This variety is known for its extra-large fruit, which can weigh up to 120g! Perfect for anyone wanting to grow a fruit garden with exotic fruits.
    2. Sue Lin San Lychee - A new Australian-bred, seedless lychee variety that offers large, flavorful fruits without the hassle of seeds!
In this video, you’ll see me unbox these stunning trees, learn about the unique characteristics of each variety, and watch as I plant them in a fertile, rainforest-like area of my garden. The ideal location for these lychees is a moist, well-draining soil with plenty of sunshine. This is the perfect environment to promote healthy growth and ensure a bountiful harvest of tropical fruits.
If you’re passionate about growing exotic fruits like lychees and are looking for tips on creating your own fruit forest at home, this video will guide you through the entire process - from planting to care!

Good luck with those trees! Could you do a video on how to prune your fig trees from a young age to the desired shape you have. Would be nice to learn your technique.

I got these two varieties recently as well to plant out at farm, im sure you know but the main thing with lychees is not to fertilise them for a couple of years as marcotted roots are very sensitive. Also in regards to the sun, they can handle a lot of sun, as long as their roots are thickly mulched to keep cool, as the tree grows they spread out to shade thier roots, good luck!
