A person’s throat muscle is no different than other muscles. Just like you exercise your hamstrings painfully stretching day by day, just like that you should stretch your vocal chords. Start Sargam from lowest octave and slowly work your way up the harmonium. You will get there but must always exercise at the high notes once you reach there, else the muscles will tighten up.

7:53 A#4 : I can sing this with my chest voice and then after that B4 with mixed voice and from C5 with complete head voice like what you are singing sir.. (with respect). We think of singing C#5 and D#5... I find it difficult to change from chest voice to head voice and vice versa.
